Delusional New York Judge orders Iran to pay billions to families of 9/11 victims

Tehran has been ordered by a US court to pay more than $6 billion to victims of the 9/11 terrorist attacks, despite the fact that most of the plane hijackers were Saudi nationals, and no direct link was ever found to Iran.

On Tuesday, a federal judge in New York found Iran, the country's central bank, and the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps liable for the deaths of more than 1,000 people in the September 11 attacks. As a consequence, District Judge George Daniels ordered Iran and its entities to pay over $6 billion in compensation to the victims' families.

The default judgment seeks compensation of $12.5 million per spouse, $8.5 million per parent, $8.5 million per child, and $4.25 million per sibling. The US could potentially retrieve the sum from billions of dollars in Iranian assets that were frozen in the US and Europe over the years. This is unlikely, however, as the ruling is seen as symbolic and unenforceable.

Comment: Jeeze, at this rate of lunacy, why not just blame Russia and China?!

Facebook attempting to prevent top EU court from reviewing spying lawsuit

Austrian lawyer, Max Schrems arrives at the Four Courts building in Dublin, Ireland, October 3, 2017
Facebook is trying to keep the European Court of Justice (ECJ) from reviewing an Irish privacy case, fearing potential limitations on its ability to move customer data from the EU to the US.

Facebook's headquarters for most of its non-US markets is in Dublin. The Irish High Court ruled that US surveillance programs permit the "mass indiscriminate" processing of the private data of European citizens and noted the lack of effective legal remedies against that kind of surveillance, given that the US government does not typically notify people who are being subjected to spying.

The Irish court has ordered the referral of the case to the ECJ in order to determine whether methods used for data transfers are legal. If the ECJ agrees with the decision of the Irish court, that could mean trouble ahead for thousands of tech firms, which transfer huge amounts of data from the EU to the US every day.

The case against Facebook was filed by Austrian lawyer and privacy activist Max Schrems, who questions whether big technology companies like Facebook give Europeans adequate protection from US surveillance systems.

Buildings destroyed during combat activities in the residential part in Homs, Syria.
According to a deal reached between the Syrian government and leaders of radical armed groups, the militants will hand over their weapons to the Syrian Army in 48 hours and turn over control of the territory to government forces, local media reported.

The Syrian government with the support of the Russian Defense Ministry's Center for Syrian reconciliation has managed to negotiate with the leaders of radical militant groups the pull out their forces from the north of Homs province and south of Hama, Syria's SANA outlet reported.

The militants also promised to provide maps of the minefields in the area, according to the media agency.

Bellingcat keeps lying about Syria to sell the Deep State's continued war against the Assad regime

bellingcat tweet syria
"In 2007, journalist James Bamford recalled how Americans had been subjected to 'a long line of hyped and fraudulent stories that would eventually propel the U.S. into a war with Iraq - the first war based almost entirely on a covert propaganda campaign targeting the media.' The dirty war on Syria represents an extension of that strategy, with the mainstream media operating hand in glove with insurgent-allied influence operations like the White Helmets to cultivate public support for another war of regime change."
~ Max Blumenthal
In December of 2016, the war propaganda firm Bellingcat ran an article assuring its readers that Twitter star Bana Alabed is a perfectly legitimate little Syrian girl and not at all a psyop designed to manufacture support for military interventionism against Bashar al-Assad. In April of 2017, CNN's "New Day" staged a fake, scripted interview featuring the child condemning Assad and pleading for the world to intervene in Syria. CNN passed it off to its unsuspecting audience as a real interview, and later used the footage against congressman Thomas Massie for his opposition to Syrian interventionism.

Bellingcat churns out such tripe constantly, and there's a new article published yesterday that has all the usual warmongers salivating with particular enthusiasm.

Residents celebrate freedom of Damascus suburb from militants as volunteers line up to enlist in Syrian Army

Eastern Qalamoun's civilian population is celebrating their liberation from a rag-tag collection of Islamist militants including Jaysh al-Islam, a coalition of Islamist militia once controlling pockets of territory in Damascus and Rif Dimashq governorate
Volunteers in the Damascus suburban region of Eastern Qalamoun are looking forward to freeing the rest of their country from armed militias.

The Syrian Army has opened recruiting centers in recently-freed towns and cities in Eastern Qalamoun in Rif Dimashq governorate, with queues of volunteers forming at mobile recruiting stations in the town of al-Rugaib, a Rossiaya Segodnya correspondent on the scene reports.

Al-Rugaib representative Muhammad Tukman told the correspondent that people's enthusiasm was understandable.

"You know, Eastern Qalamoun was under the control of the militants for a long time, and today, when our soldiers and the Russian military drove them out of here, we decided that we could no longer sit on the sidelines," Tukman said.

Comment: Fort Russ reports Russian Military Police have been deployed to insure the security of the region as they usually do after an area is liberated. While the MSM often portrays often accuses the Russian military of indiscriminately bombing civilians and murdering children, the reality is far different as social media posts show:

It's primarily due to Russian intervention that Syria has seen the near defeat of ISIS and huge swathes of the country, such as Aleppo, be liberated because of their close coordination with Syrian Army ground troops.

SJWs bully teen online for wearing Chinese dress to prom

teen prom dress
It's that time of year in high school, the season of the highly anticipated, stress-inducing rite of passage called prom.

Like many other teenagers preparing for prom, Utah senior Keziah Daum wanted to find a dress that would stand out, "something that would be more unique and bold and had some sort of meaning to it," she said in an interview with The Washington Post.

Daum decided to browse a vintage store in downtown Salt Lake City, where she came across a red cheongsam, also known as a qipao - the high-collared, form-fitting traditional Chinese dress.

"I thought it was absolutely beautiful," said Daum, who is not Chinese. She appreciated its high neckline, a difficult trait to find in many prom dresses. The dress, she said, "really gave me a sense of appreciation and admiration for other cultures and their beauty."

On a Sunday after the dance last month, like many other social media-savvy high schoolers, she posted a photo in her dress alongside her friends. "PROM," she wrote.

Comment: The SJW mentality is going way overboard. They're creating offense to be perpetual victims and have become some of the biggest biggest bullies on the playground.

Turkey wants EU nations to criminalize 'Islamophobia' while it persists in persecuting non-Muslims

Turkish Flag
Turkey, a member of NATO along with the United States, for years was regarded as a moderate Muslim nation with Western leanings.

But it recently has taken a sharp turn toward full-blown Islamic law and persecution of non-Muslims.

It just got worse, with a statement from a high government official that Turkey wants all governments across Europe to criminalize "Islamophobia," which would include any negative comment about the religion.

The report comes from Uzay Bulut, a journalist from Turkey who has worked with the Haym Salomon Center. She's currently based in Washington and writes at the Gatestone Institute.

She wrote in a recent report for the Foundation for Political, Economic and Social Research that Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Çavuşoğlu called on EU governments to criminalize "Islamophobia."

Her report quoted him saying, "There is no ideology or terminology called 'Islamism'; There is only one Islam and it means 'peace.'"

She pointed out that it is salaam that means peace, not Islam, which means submission.

Almost 90% of refugees living in the Netherlands since 2014 are still unemployed

Refugees The Netherlands
Then what are they coming for? They were supposed to be coming, or so we were told, to replace an aging workforce. But they're not replacing it. They're living off it. And what will happen after that? Eventually at least some Muslim groups in these countries will begin to demand the jizya from the kuffar, the payments that are due to the Muslims from non-Muslims as per Quranic command. Europe is either going to submit to Islam or be engulfed in a civil war that it brought upon itself and will be of its own making, in allowing sharia-adherent Muslims to establish parallel societies all over the continent.

Comment: Whatever the government's stated reasons were for accepting migrants, the truth is far more complicated and would be unpalatable to the masses:

UK MP known for anti-Russian stance still thinks Russia is a communist country

Nadine Dorries

Conservative MP Nadine Dorries
Conservative MP and novelist Nadine Dorries who is heavily involved in criticising the Labour party over alleged links to alleged Russian bots, appears to still believe that Russia is a communist country.

For anyone who has ever wondered whether some of the Tory criticism aimed at Russia or even the Labour party is based more on political opportunism and wishful thinking rather than wisdom and careful thought, Nadine Dorries MP has provided all the evidence you need on Twitter.

Dorries was energized online by now widely mocked claims from the Murdoch owned Sunday Times that Russian bots were behind the success of Jeremy Corbyn's Labour party during the last election. "Russians are trying to take over the world via Twitter and Facebook" she claimed. "1000's of Twitter accounts promoting and liking Corbyn during the election, all Russian bots. The same bots that drove Trump into power" Dorries went on claim on her twitter feed, going a few steps beyond what even this research from Swansea University claims, but probably not as far as one of her novels.
