EU says 70% of its citizens are now fully vaccinated

Ursula von der Leyen
The EU has fully vaccinated 70 per cent of its adult population against Covid-19, the 27-member bloc's president Ursula von der Leyen said on Tuesday.

The EU had set the target to vaccinate 70 per cent of its population by the "end of the summer", first implied to be at the end of September. Although the EU's vaccination drive began at a slower pace due to lack of supply, the bloc said in July that 70 per cent of its citizens had received at least one dose of coronavirus vaccine.

In a video message shared on social media, Ms Von der Leyen said that "today we reached an important milestone in our vaccination campaign".

Comment: Information is slowly getting out that there is no difference in the spread of the coronavirus whether from vaccinated or non-vaccinated people. The underlying issue is of course not about vaccination. It is about control over the population. The world has been put under martial law, which is not only accepted by a significant part of the population, but they are demanding it. The consequences of these actions are already apparent to those who have eyes to see. In fact, even those who accept the propaganda have been forced to see the devastation of society, but thus far, the attempts by those in power to put the blame on a certain minority of people has largely been successful. The question that remains to be seen is how long such a ruse will be effective as entire systems continue to collaspe.

'Dystopian nightmare': Russian tech billionaire Durov slams America's Apple & Google for 'censoring' information on the internet

Pavel Durov.
Two of the world's largest corporations, American tech giants Apple and Google, are actively censoring information disseminated to the public. That's according to Pavel Durov, the Russian founder of the Telegram Messenger app.

Durov is a long-time critic of both companies, as well as some of their competitors, such as Facebook's WhatsApp. He believes they are responsible for the erosion of privacy.

"20 years ago, we had decentralized Internet and a relatively unrestricted banking system," he wrote on his Telegram channel. "Today, Apple and Google censor information and apps on our phones while Visa and Mastercard limit what goods and services we can pay for."

"Every year, we give up more power and control over our lives to a handful of unaccountable corporate executives we didn't elect."

Comment: It's never too late to say no. Simply not buying the products of the corporations who are actively building our digital prisons and not politically supporting politicians who are selling out their people to the technocratic elites will go a long way in bringing the global technocratic behemoth to heel. Resistance is not futile.

Nearly 90 retired Generals and Admirals call for Gen. Milley and Lloyd Austin to resign

General Mark A. Milley
A group called the Flag Officers 4 America has published a press release demanding the "resignation of the Secretary of Defense (SECDEF) and the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff (CJCS)."

The people in that position right now are Lloyd J. Austin III and General Mark A. Milley, respectively. Both military leaders who have had to face questions and scrutiny over the last weeks in the midst of the Biden administration's withdrawal from Kabul, Afghanistan.

According to the letter, the concerns from former military officials are that the US military gave up key locations like Bagram air base (alongside the manpower therein), in tandem with not having a concrete plan to evacuate citizens in the meantime.

"As principal military advisors to the CINC/President, the SECDEF and CJCS should have recommended against this dangerous withdrawal in the strongest possible terms. If they did not do everything within their authority to stop the hasty withdrawal, they should resign. Conversely, if they did do everything within their ability to persuade the CINC/President to not hastily exit the country without ensuring the safety of our citizens and Afghans loyal to America, then they should have resigned in protest as a matter of conscience and public statement."

Judge restores unvaccinated mother's rights to see son

judge
Cook County, Ill., Judge James Shapiro has restored Rebecca Firlit's rights to see her 11-year-old son after previously revoking the privilege until she got vaccinated against the coronavirus.

Shapiro earlier this month gave custody of Firlit's son to her vaccinated ex-husband. The couple has been divorced for seven years and were previously sharing custody, according to the the Chicago Sun-Times.

On Monday, however, the judge revoked his previous order that barred Firlit from seeing her son, according to the Sun-Times.

"This court hereby VACATES paragraph 3 of its August 11, 2021 order based on the absence of a pleading or hearing on serious endangerment," Shapiro's order reportedly said.

Comment: Although this mother's rights were restored, the direction of where everyone is being moved is pretty clear. Fanaticism, fear and authoritarianism are among the strongest forces that break down everything from a stable system of justice to the family unit.

FBI investigating possible terror link in shooting of Texas Lyft driver, targeting of police station

Imran Ali Rasheed Isabella Lewis
The FBI is investigating whether a Texas man accused of fatally shooting a female Lyft driver and then opening fire in a police station was inspired by foreign terrorists.

Imran Ali Rasheed, 33, left a letter indicating he "may have been inspired by a foreign terrorist organization," said Matthew DeSarno, special agent in charge of the FBI's Dallas office.

"At this point, we do not believe that the suspect, Imran Ali Rasheed, was provided assistance by others or that others were involved in these incidents. However, it is our top investigative priority to fully determine the extent of his relationships and contacts," the FBI's Dallas office tweeted Monday.

Rasheed ordered a Lyft share ride on Sunday in Garland, and then fatally shot driver Isabella Lewis. Police then found Lewis's car at a police station in Plano where Rasheed opened fire in the lobby and was subsequently fatally shot by police.

Ninety countries have received "assurances" from the Taliban that anybody wishing to leave Afghanistan after tomorrow's deadline will be granted "safe passage" to do so, according to a joint statement signed by the countries yesterday.

British and French troops have already left Kabul and US military personnel will be out of Afghanistan before the August 31 date set by President Joe Biden, raising fears for thousands of Afghans eligible for evacuation still trapped.

The joint statement said:
"We have received assurances from the Taliban that all foreign nationals and any Afghan citizen with travel authorisation from our countries will be allowed to proceed in a safe and orderly manner to points of departure and travel outside the country.

"We have the clear expectation of and commitment from the Taliban that they can travel to our respective countries. We note the public statements of the Taliban confirming this."
Some Afghans however have said they gave little credence to such "assurances".

13-year-old receives his second dose of vaccine
Those who've had 3rd dose, or 2nd dose within past half-year, will be exempt from full 7-day quarantine when returning from abroad with 'Green Pass' to expire 6 months after last dose

Israel on Sunday made booster doses of the COVID-19 vaccine available to everyone age 12 and up who received the second shot at least five months ago, in an effort to combat spiraling coronavirus infections.

"From today the third dose is available to everyone," Health Ministry Director-General Nachman Ash said. The new policy is effective immediately and those eligible should set up appointments with their health providers, the Health Ministry said.

Prime Minister Naftali Bennett urged all Israelis to get the booster. "This is a privilege that no other country has," he said Sunday, after the new policy was announced.

Israel — the first country to officially offer a third dose — began its COVID booster campaign on August 1, rolling it out to all those over age 60. It then gradually dropped the eligibility age, expanding it last week to anyone 30 and older. As of Sunday, over 1.9 million Israelis had received the third dose.

Coronavirus NOT leading cause of death in UK, four times as many lives lost to heart disease, dementia, cancer

coronavirus

The most striking finding is that, despite the prevailing focus on the dangers of Covid, it is killing very few people compared to other deadly conditions
Is it time to stop obsessing over Covid figures? Statistics reveal virus is NOT the biggest killer - with heart disease, dementia and cancer each claiming four times as many lives in an average week last month

They're the figures that have ruled our lives for the past 18 months; decided our freedoms; deepened our fears.

The Covid dashboard published on the UK Government website has offered the public a window into the state of the UK's epidemic, displaying daily Covid cases, hospitalisations and deaths, both nationally and regionally, since April 2020.

Some people have avoided looking at the figures - published at 4pm every day, including weekends. But a surprising number of us have become secretly addicted to poring over them.

Showering with biological men: Female inmates in US & UK recount sexual abuse from 'trans' prisoners

Women in the US and UK who were forced to live alongside biological men in prison have told RT that policies designed to protect transgender rights have led to violence and sexual assault against female inmates.

Tomieka Johnson was sentenced to 50 years behind bars by a California court in 2012 after she killed her abusive husband during a physical altercation. Johnson, a former highway patrol officer, told RT that she shared a cell with with a transgender prisoner who was "very violent and very vulgar." The inmate would reportedly force women in the prison to clean the bathroom and wash the floors, leading to interactions that reminded Johnson of the domestic abuse she once suffered.

And although the inmate in question identified as a woman, the biological male allegedly had a girlfriend whom he would "beat" and "choke" regularly. According to Johnson, the prisoner in question sometimes became violent if his 'girlfriend' rejected his sexual advances.

Comment: It is absolutely insane that judges would be more interested in virtue signalling to the trans lobby than providing safety of female prisoners. It's already egregious to have biological males invading women's spaces in the wider world, but in prison these women have nowhere to escape to. It's disgusting.

Green gets the gold: The high-stakes game of waste and recycling industries in North America

Can you name the conglomerate that has equipment and trucks on many streets and construction sites in Ontario and elsewhere in North America -- but that few people give a second thought to?

Not sure?

Here are three clues.
  1. For more than a decade the enterprise has quietly acquired scores of other companies, and scooped up hundreds of lucrative contracts from cities and towns across the continent.
  2. Along the way it's significantly increased the privatization and vertical integration of sectors including the hauling and processing of garbage and recycling, and infrastructure development. It now has the bronze position among the top players in the North American waste-management industry.
  3. Canada and the U.S. are dotted with (as an educated guesstimate) about 10,000 of this group of firms' vehicles and machinery. They're all painted lime green.
