While specialists and intelligence services are still working at the scene, varying reports have claimed that the bomb, either packaged TNT or a grenade, was either placed in the nearby trash bin while "the man who died was doing something in the bushes nearby," or that the victim of the explosion was in fact the perpetrator of this supposed act of terrorism whose bomb exploded in his own pocket as a result of unsuccessful preparation. Social media updates, official statements, and differing speculations are currently making their rounds.
DPR head Alexander Zakharchenko has since stated that the explosion could have been an attempt on the lives of important republic leaders.
Precise device positioning aside, this explosive incident is not the first of its kind. In fact, it is by all indices only the latest in a series of incidents which have no other likely source than Ukrainian forces and their agents within the Donbass republics. It is no coincidence that on Monday, a bomb was discovered and neutralized in the apartment of the republic's leader, Alexander Zakharchenko.
King Yella's shooting was recorded on video, which he shared on his Instagram account. In the footage, the rapper is seen preparing to record his music video as bullets are fired toward him from a passing vehicle.
He sustained two injuries - to his elbow and his chest - but managed to get to a hospital on his own.
Earlier this week, Yella called on people to show up for a recording of his music video in support of the Black Lives Matter movement, urging everyone who would come to wear blue and red shirts.
Yella was one of nearly a dozen shooting victims in Chicago on Wednesday alone, all following a bloody weekend of more gun violence.
In the video obtained from a store surveillance camera, Reid can be seen repeatedly picking up and slamming an inebriated Gregory to the concrete before arresting him. Gregory clearly has poor motor control and is pushed away from the cruiser before being tossed around like a sack of potatoes. He sustained a fractured rib and shoulder injury that required surgery.
A visitor from Arizona witnessed the brutality on July 12, 2014, and reported it to police. Gregory pleaded guilty to harassment two days later without a lawyer present. However, the complaint from the witness prompted Bethel Police Chief Andre Achee to investigate the incident, whereupon he obtained the video footage.
It wasn't until Gregory's new lawyer, Sean Brown, got the video in May 2015 that Gregory's conviction was dropped, and the City of Bethel paid $175,000 to settle a civil suit.
After this, the city sent the investigation to the FBI, which referred it to Alaska's Office of Special Prosecutions. The charging document states that Reid's use of force "was excessive and unnecessary."
The incident kicked off around 9:30 p.m. when officers at Eppley Airfield encountered a man in front of the airport acting "bizarre" and screaming that people were trying to kill him, Tim Conahan, Chief of Police for the Omaha Airport Authority told ABC News.
With officers in pursuit, the man -- whose identity remains unknown -- ran into a parking garage, exited through another entrance and scaled a fence onto a runway, and jumped into an unlocked Southwest pickup truck which had its engine running, Conahan said. During the chase, the man stripped down to his boxers.
At least one parent wrote in to KHON to complain about the paltry school breakfast served to students Tuesday, and officials are now scrambling to explain away the "unacceptable" meal.
"One of my friends even said if my kindergartner was given this, she'd probably get upset," the unidentified mother told the news site.
The woman explained that students are often subjected to uncomfortably hot classrooms, and the skimpy breakfast only makes matters worse.
"To me, that's just unacceptable to have such a small meal like that provided before they have classes in the heat, and just the misery and bad conditions that they're in with the heat alone, I just feel like it's unacceptable," she said.
Comment: These people are idiots. Maybe American students and their parents should do some research, and demand meals that don't resemble those you might see in a concentration camp.
The IDF soldiers reportedly followed the procedure to stop Eyad Zakaria Hamed, a 38-year-old Palestinian, and in accordance with the rules, had to shoot a suspicious individual dead.
No soldiers were injured. The Palestinian was not found to have either weapons, or explosive devices. The investigation is underway, according to the news outlet, citing the IDF Spokesperson Unit.
"This is nothing but senility and we can say that their senility is progressing," Natalya Poklonskaya told RIA Novosti. "They should rather deal with their own elections, bearing in mind that in 2014 they had an illegal armed power grab, after which they just appointed their own people to all the posts, in violation of the Ukrainian Constitution. They have plenty of things to do there."
Her remarks came soon after the Ukrainian Ministry for Temporarily Occupied Territories and Internally Displaced Persons issued a statement in which it called all elections that are to take place in the Republic of Crimea on September 18 - all-Russia election day - "illegal," while threatening to hold all those who participate in organizing the polls criminally responsible.
It added that local authorities could only restrict individual liberties if there was a "proven risk" to public order, according to AFP. The top administrative court, Le Conseil d'Etat (the State Council), made the ruling public on Friday ahead of the official announcement, which is to provide its full legal basis.
The decision follows a demand from the League of Human Rights to overturn the burkini ban in the French Riviera town of Villeneuve-Loubet, saying the prohibition violates civil freedoms.

Activists deliver boxes of signed petitions to the California Commission on Judicial Performance calling for the removal of Judge Aaron Persky from the bench after his controversial sentencing in the Stanford rape case, in San Francisco, California, U.S.
Beginning September 6, Judge Persky will not have the power to sentence anyone to jail time. This may come as good news to the almost 1.3 million people who signed a petition to remove Persky from the bench altogether.
Persky became a national figure after he sentenced Brock Turner to only six months in jail after being found guilty of three felonies related to the sexual assault of a woman.
Persky explained a longer sentence would have a "severe impact" on the college athlete's future. The judge's ruling led to a Change.org petition to recall him.
KXAN News spoke to Matt and Beth Steadman, whose Clinton yard signs were stolen one after the other. The thefts seemed innocuous enough at first, said Matt Steadman, but the couple never dreamed that someone would harm their pet.
First, the yard signs began to disappear, which the Steadmans took in stride, simply putting out another. Then, someone vandalized their SUV beyond repair by pouring bleach into the gas tank.
On Sunday, they woke up to discover the yard sign gone and a "Hillary for Prison" flyer under the doormat. Beth went out, but Matt noticed that Abby — a 4-year-old shepherd mix who the Steadmans adopted as a puppy — was acting strange.
"She started tremoring and she started shaking," Matt Steadman said. "I called Beth around 4 and said, 'I think somethings wrong with Abby.'"
