Five people have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder in relation to the shooting of the activist Sasha Johnson in Peckham, south London, on Sunday.
The Met police said officers based in Southwark and Lambeth stopped a 17-year-old on Tuesday and arrested him on suspicion of possession of an offensive weapon and possession with intent to supply class A drugs.

Sarah Kellen, 40, who is accused of having a rolodex of women she would call up for massages at Epstein's mansion in Palm Beach, Florida, is set to testify against Ghislaine Maxwell. She's pictured with Maxwell in 2005.
Prosecutors said in a filing that the material for the trial includes 'any co-conspirator statements', a major sign that one of Epstein's inner circle has turned state's witness.
Prosecutors said that nine weeks before the trial, which is set to begin in November, they would turn over to the defense 'the identity of any unindicted co-conspirator' they plan to call to give evidence.

Private businesses in the Big Apple must also make their employees undergo similar training, although they are not required to use the materials offered by the city. The training must be completed once a year.

Child sex offences appear to have risen during the pandemic as a result of increased online activity.
The latest figure is significantly higher than the previous estimate of 300,000, which was calculated based on the number of registered sex offenders as well as the amount of people who look at child abuse images online.
Using new methodology which includes those involved in physical abuse, the NCA now estimates that the hidden population of offenders lies somewhere between 550,000 and 850,000 people.
In its annual National Strategic Assessment, the enforcement agency said its attempts to catch paedophiles would be jeopardised if Facebook follows through with its plan to introduce end-to-end encryption for its messages.
The NCA believes this would be a mistake, citing the example of David Wilson, from Norfolk, who was jailed for 25 years for 96 sexual offences against 51 boys aged between four and 14.
Yes, really.
"Friend sent this to me. I had know idea that Tony the Tiger and the Toucan Sam were dating," tweeted Dave Rubin.

Swedish climate activist Greta Thunberg takes part in the rally ''Europe Climate Strike'' in Brussels, Belgium, March 6, 2020.
In a sleekly edited video, complete with punchy music, the Swedish activist argued that the Earth's ecological suffering could be greatly alleviated if humans stopped raising livestock. According to Thunberg, our "relationship" with nature desperately needs to change in order to end the alleged climate crisis - which she claimed is fueled in part by meat-eating.
"Because let's face it, if we don't change, we're f***ed," she declared.
Thunberg made the case that eating meat is no longer sustainable because of the vast natural resources it requires, and that if industrial animal farming is allowed to continue, "we will run out of land and food."
"Today's executive order makes clear that vaccine passports will not be utilized in state government," the Republican governor said in a written statement.
The executive order, titled "Prohibition of Covid-19 Vaccine Passports," stipulates that individuals will not need to show proof of vaccination via a passport to enter the state of Georgia. It also specifies that employers in the state should not have different policies for employees contingent on vaccination status, such as identifying badges.
Kemp is one of a number of Republican governors, such as Florida governor Ron DeSantis and South Dakota governor Kristi Noem, to outlaw COVID passports in their states over medical-privacy concerns for the individual as the Biden administration encourages mass vaccination among most age groups. Kemp's action came in the form of an executive order while DeSantis' version for Florida passed in the state legislature and was enacted into law.
The latest national "report card" is out, and it shows that our schools are failing Americans when it comes to science education.
These most recent data come from the 2019 National Assessment of Educational Progress (NAEP) science assessment.
Just 36 percent of 4th graders were at least "proficient" in science in 2019. Meanwhile, only 35 percent of 8th graders were proficient, and, most worryingly, just 22 percent of 12th graders tested at or above a proficient level in science. These numbers are all essentially unchanged or marginally worse than the same figures in 2015, suggesting no improvement or progress has been made on this front.
These findings are more than just an embarrassment for those who run our nation's educational systems. They serve as yet another reminder that the public education system, where roughly 90 percent of students are enrolled, isn't working. Indeed, a perusal of the report card's sub-data shows that while results across the board aren't great, public school students' test scores are significantly lower than students enrolled in Catholic private schools, for one example.

A Canadian Forces member, introduced by organizers of an anti-lockdown rally as Leslie Kenderesi speaks at the gathering in Toronto.
It's believed to be the first time in decades that the Canadian military has laid such a charge.
Officer Cadet Ladislas Kenderesi was charged with one count of "endeavoring to persuade another person to join in a mutiny," an offence under the National Defence Act. Kenderesi was also charged with one count of behaving in a scandalous manner unbecoming of an officer.
The charges were laid May 12 by the Canadian Forces National Investigation Service, defence officials told this newspaper.
Kenderesi had appeared at an anti-lockdown rally in December in Toronto dressed in his Canadian Forces uniform and speaking out about the COVID-19 vaccine, claiming it was a "killer."
He called on military personnel not to be involved in government plans to distribute the vaccine. "I'm asking military, right now serving, truck drivers, medical, engineers, whatever you are, do not take this unlawful order (for) the distribution of this vaccine," Kenderesi said at the rally. A video of his speech was posted on YouTube.

Comment: While many on the left are stating that Johnson was targeted for her activism, as more evidence continues to emerge it looks more and more like she was the victim of being in the wrong place at the wrong time; collateral damage in a crime that may have been completely incidental to her. It's a tragedy, and rather unfortunate that some of questionable morality are trying to capitalize on it.
