Another sound rejection of the Biden Agenda: Trump-backed Republican wins House race in Ohio special election

Donald Trump endorses Mike Carey in his special election race for an Ohio congressional seat.
American voters are signaling yet another rejection of the radical Democratic agenda in Biden's America, based on yet another election night result. Republican Mike Carey has won the special election for the House seat in Ohio's 15th Congressional District, NBC News projects.

The 2021 election victory would be yet another Trump-endorsed candidate to win a House race.

"Republican Mike Carey, a coal lobbyist endorsed by former President Donald Trump, defeated Democrat Allison Russo in a special election for Ohio's 15th Congressional District around Columbus," Reuters reported, based on MSNBC projections.

"The Ohio seat was held for a decade by Republican Steve Stivers, who stepped down in May after voting earlier in the year to impeach Trump on a charge he incited the deadly Jan. 6 assault on the U.S. Capitol," Reuters noted.

UK enforces 'bird flu prevention zone' with new legal biosecurity requirements for flock owners

UK health agencies say the risk to public health from the virus is very low
A bird flu prevention zone has been declared across the UK to stop the spread of the disease among poultry and other birds, chief veterinary officers have said.

From 5pm on Wednesday, it is a legal requirement for all bird keepers to follow strict biosecurity measures to help protect their flocks.

People with more than 500 birds inside the Avian Influenza Prevention Zone (AIPZ) must restrict access for non-essential people, change clothing and footwear before entering enclosures, and vehicles must be cleaned and disinfected regularly.

Comment: A recent report revealed a highly pathogenic bird flu outbreak has already spread to 46 countries, and that there have been 862 cases detected in humans. Were a significant outbreak to occur in the UK that is already suffering food shortages, with the situation predicted to get worse, there could be serious consequences for the food supply.

These days, there doesn't even need to be an actual threat, because over in Denmark the government made the unsupported claim that there was a possible risk of coronavirus transmission from minks and they enforced an illegal cull of 15 million of them, in turn causing an actual biological hazard by contaminating the water supply.

Democrats wants DOJ to crack down on mask-induced 'air rage'

A traveller wears a protective face mask on a plane at Cairo International Airport in Cairo, Egypt, August 25, 2021
A group of Democrat lawmakers wants the Justice Department to crack down on "unruly" airline passengers, amid a spate of "confrontational behavior" triggered by mask requirements.

"It is well documented that our nation has witnessed a sharp increase in air and airport confrontational behavior, particularly since the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic," five House Democrats wrote to Attorney General Merrick Garland this week. "This has led to a dramatic increase in unruly and disruptive passenger behavior onboard aircraft."

The lawmakers asked Garland to use federal law enforcement agents and prosecutors to "fully investigate" such incidents and prosecute any lawbreakers.

Comment: 'Air rage'? Is this a term to describe those who get angry for not getting enough air? Of course such a symptom would mostly apply to *white men* who apparently have a special tendency to 'air spread' and try to consume most of the air. It is an obvious threat to freedom and democracy requiring the involvement of the highest levels of government.

More covid rebellion: Unvaccinated nurses open wellness centre in Kamloops, B.C. - UPDATE: Nurses evicted

A user-pay wellness clinic was opened by a group of unvaccinated nurses October 29, 2021 in North Kamloops, British Columbia
Unvaccinated nurses all over the province are no longer permitted to work for British Columbia health authorities.

A group of Kamloops nurses who did not receive the COVID-19 vaccine is using their job loss as an opportunity to start up Ezra Wellness on Tranquille Road.

"We're not being allowed to help. We were told we weren't wanted, we weren't needed — and yet, we know we are," said team lead Glenn Aalderink.

Ezra Wellness is still developing its platform, but the clinic says it hopes to ease some of the strain on emergency rooms by assessing patients and offering guidance. It will operate as a private clinic and, as of right now, services are free and nurses are volunteering.

Comment: Castanet follows up:
An unvaccinated nurse who opened a user-pay wellness clinic this week in North Kamloops says plans are in place for similar storefronts to debut soon in Kelowna and Salmon Arm.

Glenn Aalderink, a former Royal Inland Hospital nurse who organized a well-attended Sept. 1 anti-vax rally on Columbia Street, told Castanet he opened the doors to Ezra Wellness on Tuesday.

He said it's not a medical clinic and it does not offer medical care.

"At best, I'd say consultation. A lot of it is just we evaluate, we have a discussion and we see where we can go and what might potentially work," he said.

"So if you came in and you had questions, we would help place you or point you in the direction of what we think — collectively, you and I — would be best, through all modalities like massage, nutrition, naturopath, Western medicine. It's whatever we think would help you, even personal trainers."

Interior Health confirmed it is aware of Ezra Wellness, but a spokesperson said IH "does not oversee private clinics providing medical services." The health authority said anyone working in healthcare has to follow provincial rules — and anyone caught breaking them could be penalized.

"All individuals providing medical care in B.C. are required to comply with the BC Health Professionals Act," IH said in a statement to Castanet.

"If we receive information about a clinic that may be operating outside of this, we will report individuals involved to their respective professional regulating bodies — the BC College of Nurses and Midwives for nurses and BC College of Physicians and Surgeons for physicians."

IH said any concerned individual is free to file such a report.

According to Aalderink, Ezra Wellness has another location in Grand Forks and is about to open clinics in Kelowna and Salmon Arm. Others are in the works, he said, in Langley, Northern B.C., Alberta, Ontario and Australia.
The College of Nurses is watchful, but not making any trouble yet:
The B.C. College of Nurses and Midwives, which regulates licenses for nurses in the province, has concerns about misinformation that could come from these clinics.

"(The College) and other health profession regulators in B.C. share serious concerns about how the spread of misinformation by regulated health professionals about COVID-19 and vaccination may jeopardize the safety of patients and the public," spokesperson Johanna Ward said in an emailed statement. "We also have concerns about regulated health professionals promoting or sharing information about COVID-19 treatments that are not supported by widely accepted scientific evidence."

Ward said nurses can own and operate their own clinics as long as they follow bylaws, standards of practice and work within their scope of practice.

The College also recommends those nurses seek legal advice.

Although Aalderink's employment with Interior Health was terminated, he still holds his license with the B.C. College of Nurses and Midwives. He is also trying to communicate with the College to cooperate in order to allow the clinic to operate.

He said there are at least 40 other healthcare workers that are willing to collaborate with him, including former Interior Health nurses, chiropractors and naturopaths.

There is no examination room and only space for consultations behind a desk, but Aalderink said he can check basic vital statistics and will be willing to make house calls.

"This is the first time I've been building something. Everything else is trying to hold my line in society. Society has proven they don't want us," he said. "(The College) can take away my license to practice but not my skills."
UPDATE 03/11/2021: The Vancouver Sun reported that the clinic is being evicted by the building's owner:
A private health clinic that was started by unvaccinated nurses last week in Kamloops has been evicted by the owner of the building.

In a Facebook post, Ezra Wellness in Kamloops says it's looking for support to find another place to operate.

"If you have or know of some office space available, with like minded compassionate owners, please let me know so we can land and move forward peacefully," Glenn Aalderink, the nurse who started the clinic, said in the post.

The post said when the provincial government ordered all health-care workers to be vaccinated, he "moved on" and created an alternative clinic.

"The landlord does not want us, we will move on and find an alternative. And they will suffer for the loss, not us," said Aalderink.

The building is owned by Brendan Shaw of SRSN Ventures Ltd.

In an email, he said the commercial space is rented to a long-term tenant who subleased part of their space to a user-pay medical clinic without the permission of the owner.

"We have a no sublease clause in place and this is not an allowable option," said Shaw.

"With each of our commercial tenants, we have a process we follow to vet and approve all tenants. Part of that due diligence process is to ensure all tenants are able to meet the legal, financial, and insurance covenants on the commercial space. Without having gone through this process and because we have a no sublease clause in place, we cannot reasonably give approval on a lease."

School taught lesson on 'dual pandemic' of Covid-19 & racism in US

A Maryland school board has come under fire for giving kids a "psychoeducational lesson" about what it called the US' "dual pandemic" of Covid-19 and "systemic racism."

According to documents published by Judicial Watch and seen by Fox News, the Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) board launched the curriculum last year. In an August 2020 email, MCPS Associate Superintendent Janet Wilson announced that all schools would be "required" to implement the lesson as part of a "mandatory Social-Emotional Learning" module by the following month.

The lesson was said to provide "crisis facts" about a "dual pandemic" of Covid-19 and racism that is "occurring around the country" and in Montgomery County. It was apparently tailored to a range of age groups, from preschoolers through to high-school students.

In an instructional video provided to schools, teachers were told to use "scripted responses" about the lesson to students.

Comment: The pandemic that is really facing the US and much of the world is the near complete absence of thought and basic regard for others. When those things are lacking it doesn't take much to tailspin out of control. For a look at how this plays out on national levels see Patrick Lawrence's recent piece, The Manufacture of Decline.

According to preliminary reports, at least two people on board the aircraft were Russian nationals.

A cargo plane crashed in South Sudan's capital Juba, airport director Kur Kuol told the Associated Press on Tuesday.

"Five people, including pilot and crew members, lost their lives", Kuol said, adding that there were two Russian nationals among those killed.

The Antonov charter plane crashed shortly after taking off from Juba International Airport. It was heading to Greater Maban, a county in the country's north, the report added.

Several Twitter accounts posted photos, believed to have been taken at the site of the catastrophe.

Comment: It remains to be seen whether this is just an accident, whether its related to the recent coup in the country, or whether this is yet another aircraft crash to add the increasing number occurring across the planet in recent years:

Ex-Clinton strategist suggests 'woke detox center' for Dems after Virginia election loss

James Carville

James Carville
Former Bill Clinton strategist James Carville has split the Democrats with a warning that the party's move towards "stupid wokeness" was behind its election losses in Virginia.

"Stupid wokeness," according to Carville, is exactly what is to blame for Republican Glenn Youngkin's gubernatorial victory over Democrat Terry McAuliffe in a state that President Joe Biden had won by 10 points only a year prior.

"Don't just look at Virginia and New Jersey. Look at Long Island, look at Buffalo, look at Minneapolis, even look at Seattle... I mean, this 'defund the police' lunacy, this take Abraham Lincoln's name off of schools... People see that," Carville told 'PBS NewsHour', following Virginia's election.

The Republican upswing, the Democrat strategist added, was part of "backlash" against the increasingly woke Democrats, who were speaking "a language that people just don't use," he said.

Virginia elects first Hispanic AG and first black Lt. Governor, both Republican

Comment: Well, so much for the Dems being 'the party of equality'...

Two Republicans made history in Virginia on Tuesday after the state elected the first black woman to become Virginia's Lt. Governor and an hispanic man as Attorney General.

Virginia's Winsome Sears (R) is expected to be named the first black female Lt. Governor of Virginia after statewide elections predict a victory over Democratic nominee Hala Ayala.

"I'm telling you that what you are looking at is the American Dream," Sears said during a victory speech in Chantilly on Tuesday.

In 2001, Sears made history when she became the first female veteran, first black female Republican, and first naturalized citizen to serve in the House of Delegates, representing the state's 90th district. Sears immigrated to the US from Jamaica as a child and later went on to serve in the United States Marine Corps.

Children may soon have to show proof of vaccination in San Francisco

In San Francisco, children 5 and older may soon have to show proof of vaccination at indoor settings, like restaurants and Warriors games.

San Francisco health officials are considering the same local health orders for adults to apply to children but right now, the focus is getting children vaccinated.

"People have asked me, what about the local San Francisco health orders that require vaccination to go into a restaurant or to go to a Warriors game. When is that going to apply to children 5 to 11? We definitely want to wait and make sure children have an opportunity to get vaccinated so that will happen no sooner than about eight weeks after the vaccine is available to kids," Dr. Susan Philip said.
