How does climate change obsession affect families? A NYT post about the Valve Turners provides an unexpected insight into the tragic consequences of what happens when someone truly believes in climate doomsday.

Comment: There's no need to force your beliefs on your family - though it may be this person was unstable to begin with. And just as tragic is that all of his beliefs were based on lies, because we're entering a period of global cooling, and it has nothing to do with 'carbon emissions'.

Rights groups warn immigrants about Florida travel as arrests soar

illegal immigration border sign
More than a dozen advocacy groups issued a warning about traveling in Florida on Wednesday saying immigration arrests there have soared more rapidly in the past year than in any other area of the country.

Leaders from immigrant rights and nonprofit organizations said new cooperation between Immigration and Customs Enforcement and 17 Florida sheriffs is also spreading fear in the state.

The travel advisory issued by 15 groups warns immigrants from other states to reconsider Florida trips or to be ready to encounter immigration agents at airports, sea ports and bus stations.

"We are taking the step of warning our communities that as the Florida lawmakers, state, local and federal do not take steps to push back against the anti-immigrant policies, we do not feel like our communities are safe in the state," said Tomas Kennedy, deputy political director at the Florida Immigrant Coalition.

US fan defies Olympic Committee by waving Russian flag in support of "innocent" Russian athletes

us fan defies olympics russia flag
While all the talk at the Olympics was about the historic event of the two Koreans marching under a unified flag, this American citizen drew the worlds attention by waving another flag - The Russian Imperial Tricolor.

Who would have thought an American fan would have been among those flying the banned Russian flag? RT interviewed the fan who explained he was trying to avoid the political issues, and rather send a message of support to Russian athletes who were unfairly banned. He explained that the Russian athletes participating are clearly innocent of any wrongdoing, and they are being punished for what others "may or may not" have done.

Comment: The US and Western establishment can't help themselves; they're bitter, manipulative, sore losers, and not just when it comes to the Olympics:

Hungary introduces legislation to ban "national security risk" NGOs like those of George Soros

Anti soros poster hungary
Hungary's nationalist government introduced legislation that would empower the interior minister to ban non-governmental organizations (NGOs) that support migration and pose a "national security risk".

The bill, submitted to parliament late on Tuesday, is a key part of Prime Minister Viktor Orban's anti-immigration campaign targeting U.S. financier George Soros whose philanthropy aims to bolster liberal and open-border values in eastern Europe.

The government says the bill, which would also impose a 25 percent tax on foreign donations to NGOs that back migration in Hungary, is meant to deter illegal immigration Orban says is eroding European stability and has been stoked in part by Soros.

Comment: Soros' diabolical meddling is well documented:

The Taliban, who are fighting to thwart foreign forces and defeat the US-backed government, declared that the US must end its "occupation" and accept the Taliban's right to form a government "consistent with the beliefs of the people."

The Taliban offer of dialogue came in a statement addressed to the American people.

"Our preference is to solve the Afghan issue through peaceful dialogue," the Taliban said on Wednesday, while warning that their readiness to find peace should not be taken as a sign of weakness and that their armed campaign would be sustained no matter how powerful the US opposition is.

A court in France ordered the case of a 29-year-old man who went on trial for having sex with an 11-year-old girl to be sent back for further investigation after outrage over the initial decision not to try the man for rape.

There was anger when the prosecutor's office in the town of Pontoise, a north-western Parisian suburb, put the father of two on trial for charges of "sexual abuse of a minor under 15," rather than for rape.

While the girl's family filed a complaint for rape, the public prosecutor's office decided that that there was no evidence to suggest that the sexual relationship had been obtained by "threat, violence, surprise or coercion."

The crime of "sexual assault" is punishable in France by five years in prison, while the rape of a minor under 15 is punishable with up to 20 years behind bars.

Italian police have arrested two more Nigerian immigrants in their investigation into the brutal murder of Pamela Mastropietro, the Roman 18-year-old whose dismembered remains were found inside two suitcases outside Macerata in central Italy earlier this month.

Shortly after the murder, law enforcement officials arrested Innocent Oseghale, a 29-year-old Nigerian drug dealer, and afterward discovered blood-stained clothes, large kitchen knives, a cleaver, and other items belonging to the murdered woman in the man's apartment. They immediately began a search for the man's accomplices since various elements of the crime indicated the participation of more than one person.

On Saturday, police arrested two more Nigerian asylum-seekers, 22-year-old Lucky Desmond and 27-year-old Awelima Lucky, respectively living in Montecassiano and Macerata. One of the two men was reportedly fleeing toward the northern Italian region of Lombardy, which made the arrests all the more pressing.

The prosecutor of Macerata is charging the three men with murder, along with the sale of narcotics and the desecration and concealment of a corpse, based in part on a coroner's report delivered Friday evening, which provided further details of the murder.

In the analysis of the woman's mutilated corpse, investigators found that certain body parts were missing, including the victim's neck and a portion of the genital organs.
