Welcome to the EU: The physical and mental health of Greeks is deteriorating.

In its Monetary Policy Report 2015-2016, the Bank of Greece highlights what many Greeks already know, EU austerity demands is pushing the country towards a healthcare disaster.

The conclusions drawn in a chapter entitled "Reforms in health, economic crisis and impact on the health of population" confirm that the physical and mental health of Greeks is deteriorating.

Economic insecurity, high unemployment, decreasing income and constant stress are the personal struggles that many Greeks now live with. Personal income belt tightening is causing many patients to cut out necessary health care treatments, while shortages in government funds is resulting in general healthcare system shortages across the country.

Egyptian accident investigators have found one of the "black boxes" from flight MS804, the jet that crashed in the Mediterranean on 19 May with the loss of 66 lives.

The Egyptian Aircraft Accident Investigation Committee announced that that the deep-ocean search vessel, RV John Lethbridge, had found the cockpit voice recorder. Even though it was damaged, the vessel equipment managed to pick up the memory unit. It has been taken to the city of Alexandria to be interrogated by the technical investigation committee.

The search team is working in one of the deepest parts of the Mediterranean, at around 10,000 feet below sea level. They are believed to have already found wreckage of the fuselage, wings and tailplane in several locations.

The parents of a black 12-year-old girl are suing her Texas school after it allegedly failed to investigate a group of white students who put a rope around their daughter's neck and dragged her to the ground.

The incident, which the parents say was intentional bullying, left "severe and painful" rope cuts in her neck, causing her mother to believe her neck had been ripped open and stitched back together again when she first saw it.

The mostly white, Live Oak Classical school in Waco has called the incident "an unfortunate accident".

America, how will you cope with a super low standard of living when the economy tanks?

standard of living
The forces are mounting that will eventually overwhelm most Americans and send their standard of living to unknown depths. Americans that have only known the post WWII prosperity are ill equipped and educated to deal with depression level living. Easy credit and instant gratification have created a nation of whining, self absorbed, entitlement minded people with no moral or mental toughness.

Doug Casey believes we are headed for what he calls a super depression created by the ending of a debt super cycle. The bigger the debt cycle the bigger the depression that follows. That's how reality works and most people are not prepared for reality.

When this depression, which has already started, gets momentum, it will overwhelm the plans of a society that is expecting to get things like social security, pensions and payouts from retirement plans they have paid into for many years. All of those things will disappear almost overnight and leave society gasping and stupefied over what to do. Their reactions will be to yell and scream and try to identify who to blame but the only person they should blame is the one in the mirror.

Many very smart people have raised the alarm and done their best to warn the sleeping public, but those slumbering masses have ignored the warnings and hit the snooze button one more time. The masses do not understand economics, do not want to understand economics and they will pay dearly for that ignorance in the coming days.

5 things the establishment quietly slipped by you while focusing on the Orlando shooting

5 things
After any major tragedy, we develop an obsessive need to analyze, debate, and argue every conceivable aspect of what's taken place — as if time stops. That tragedy dominates mainstream and, often, independent media headlines for days or weeks, exhaustively positing theory after theory until the public begins to lose interest.

But tragedy doesn't occur in a vacuum, and — though it might feel as if the world pressed pause to allow society to grieve — important, pertinent issues continue to arise while our attention is trained elsewhere.

Slimeballs: Australian fishermen drag TEN sharks from the ocean for selfies

This is what humanity's obsession with selfies has led to...
Self absorbed dumb arse

Everyone wants to pretend they are living the perfect life on social media, which is why certain individuals will go to extreme lengths to capture photographs with exotic animals and marine wildlife. This first became clear when tourists in Argentina passed a baby dolphin around so they could take selfies with it - effectively killing it in the process. Then, two idiots dragged a shark from the ocean to pose with it for pictures.

Not long after, an aggressive female made headlines when she grabbed a swan by the wing and towed it after her for the sake of a photo. Humanity, your narcissistic tendencies are showing.

Now, news has surfaced of two fishermen, named Josh Butterwort and John Bonnitcha, deliberately nabbing not one, not two - but ten sharks during their fishing trip. During the course of a four-day fishing trip off the coast of West Australia, reports One Green Planet, the two men captured the sharks for sport.

Butterworth says:
"We do a lot of game fishing and when it's not marlin season we just try to find something that pulls as hard as they do."
Of course, they had to drag the sharks to shore and take selfies with their catch - much like trophy hunters in Africa - because, it seems, humans can never get enough of an ego boost.
"When you have them in the water holding them they're like big puppy dogs. As soon as you take your hands off them they bolt — they are pretty lazy things."
Reportedly, it is more likely that the sharks were exhibiting lethargic behavior because they were injured or paralyzed during the struggle.

Man suspected of killing MP Jo Cox long-time supporter of U.S. based neo-Nazi group

Thomas Mair's home
© Craig Brough/ReutersPolice officers stand outside the home of Thomas Mair, named by local media as the man who was arrested after Labour MP Jo Cox was murdered in her constituency near Leeds, Britain June 17, 2016.
The man accused of murdering British MP Jo Cox was a dedicated supporter of the extreme-right National Alliance (NA) and had bought guides on how to build guns and explosives from the US-based neo-Nazi group, it has been reported.

Thomas Mair, 52, is accused of murdering Cox, 41, who was left bleeding on the pavement outside her constituency surgery in West Yorkshire on Thursday, after she was stabbed and shot repeatedly. Witnesses say the suspect shouted "Britain first" during the attack, raising the prospect that the attack was linked to the European Union referendum. Detectives are investigating whether the alleged shout was a reference to the far-right group of the same name. That group has denied any involvement and that Mair was a member.

According to receipts obtained by the Southern Poverty Law Center, an anti-hate campaign group based in the US, Mair had been a supporter of the NA for decades. The receipts, which date back to the 1990s, show Mair spent £436 ($620) on literature from the NA, such as 'Chemistry of Powder & Explosives' and 'Improvised Munitions Handbook'.

In the handbook, there are detailed instructions for constructing a homemade "Pipe Pistol For .38 Caliber Ammunition" from components that can be purchased from nearly any hardware store. Receipts also show Mair bought the handbook 'Ich Kampfe,' an illustrated handbook issued to members of the Nazi Party in 1942.

Colorado cops paralyze UFC fighter in brutal arrest

Donovan Duran arrest
On December 7, 2015, police were dispatched after a man's parents called them to report their son for being drunk and irrational. It would be the last day their son would ever walk.

After police arrested him without incident, Donovan Duran, a UFC fighter, was brought by La Junta police officers to a local hospital where things took a turn for the worse. When attempting to unload him from the police cruiser, Duran tried to put his handcuffs in front of him, sending cops into attack mode.

When seeing Duran with his handcuffs around his knees, the officers yanked him from the car and slammed him into the concrete — head first.

Border patrol subjects teen girl to multiple cavity searches in a quest for non-existent drugs

Nogales mexico crossing
© Nick Oza/The RepublicAshley Cervantes had crossed from Nogales, Arizona, to Nogales, Sonora, to have breakfast at one of her favorite restaurants in October 2014 when she was detained by U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers as she was returning.
A 19-year-old Arizona woman was forced to endure humiliating, invasive 'body cavity' probes after border patrol agents accused her of attempting to smuggle illegal drugs from Mexico inside her body.

Ashley Cervantes initiated a lawsuit against U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CPB) after a brief trip across the border for breakfast turned into a nightmare. CBP agents detained Cervantes for about eight hours upon her return to the U.S., because they were convinced she had secreted drugs inside her body for transport, according to local ABC affiliate KGUN9.

According to Cervantes' attorney, Brian Marchetti, CBP officers never offered an explanation for why they suspected his client of being a drug mule, but they soon brought two K-9s to sniff for illicit substances.

The curious link between banker 'suicides' and the Libor scandal

banker suicide
In 2015 there was a popular "conspiracy theory" floating around the Internet after a rash of mysterious "suicides" by high-profile banking professionals. What once looked like wild speculation is now beginning to resemble a vast criminal conspiracy connected to the Libor, interest-rigging scandal.

Over forty international bankers allegedly killed themselves over a two-year period in the wake of a major international scandal that implicated financial firms across the globe. However, three of these seemingly unrelated suicides seem to share common threads related to their connections to Deutsche Bank. These three banker suicides in New York, London, and Siena, Italy, took place within 17 months of each other in 2013/14 in what investigators labeled as a series of unrelated suicides.
