Zikomo Peurifoy, 25, was Tased three times, handcuffed and arrested by police officers in Casselberry, Florida recently after he refused to provide law enforcement with photo identification after allegedly jaywalking across the street. The entire incident - at around ten minutes long - has been published on the Web. And while critics are charging that Casselberry cops used excessive force in apprehending a single suspect over not crossing at the corner, the city's police department is insisting that their officers handled the situation entirely by the books.

The husband, who is not being named by the Mail Online, allegedly used Craigslist to arrange the sexual assault of his wife
At least two men powered their way into the woman's Twin Cities, Idaho home on separate occasions with the intention of forcing her to have sex with them.
The first incident happened on Thursday just after midnight.
A man she did not know arrived at her home and told her: 'I'm here for you' and pushed his way inside, local news outlet Magic Valley reported.
He chased her through the house as she ran, terrified, to where she kept a 9mm handgun which he grabbed from her, firing shots that ricocheted around the room.
They struggled and the woman's hand was slashed as she fought him off.
At that point the man fled and the woman called the police.
The intruder was described as being about 5'10" with a medium build and short black hair; both arms covered in tattoos.
Two days later, at around 3.45pm on Saturday, a second man broke in and police arrived to find the woman holding him at gunpoint in the living room.
He was arrested over the break-in and told police in an interview that he was responding to a 'casual encounters' ad on Craigslist, supposedly posted by the victim.

A SkyWest Airlines plane sits on the runway at St. George Municipal Airport in Utah, after an airline employee attempted to steal it, Tuesday, July 17, 2012.
Brian Joseph Hedglin, 40, of Colorado Springs, Colo., fatally shot himself while aboard the SkyWest aircraft, the St. George, Utah, Police Department said on its Facebook page today.
SkyWest confirmed today that the suspect had been an employee of the company but was on administrative leave.
A Federal Aviation Agency database confirmed that Hedglin was certified to fly commercially as a captain.
Hedglin drove his motorcycle to St. George Municipal Airport, hopped a fence at 12:30 a.m. M.T. and then boarded the SkyWest aircraft, according to authorities.
A source with the airline told ABC News that after starting the engines of a 50-seat regional jetliner, Hedglin clipped the wing of another aircraft and crashed through a fence as he taxied the plane. It wasn't clear whether the plane ever got off the ground.

Even more shocking was the discovery that this is actually old news!
The Daily Mail article was not dated, and upon investigation, the experiments cited actually took place over a decade ago; the study announcing their successful birth was published in 20012.
While I typically comment on recent findings and health related news, in this case I will make an exception, because I think many of you may be as surprised by this information as I was. I do not propose to have any answers here as this is out of my scope of expertise.
At best, I hope I can stir you to ponder the implications of this type of genetic engineering, and I invite you to share your perspective in the vital votes' comment section below. As reported in the featured article:
"The disclosure that 30 healthy babies were born after a series of experiments in the United States provoked another furious debate about ethics... Fifteen of the children were born... as a result of one experimental program at the Institute for Reproductive Medicine and Science of St Barnabas in New Jersey.
The babies were born to women who had problems conceiving. Extra genes from a female donor were inserted into their eggs before they were fertilized in an attempt to enable them to conceive.
Genetic fingerprint tests on two one-year- old children confirm that they have inherited DNA from three adults - two women and one man."
60 years ago, most Americans were decent, hard working people and there were always good jobs available for anyone that was willing to roll up his or her sleeves and put in an honest day of work. But now all of that has changed. Over the past decade, tens of thousands of manufacturing facilities have shut down and millions of jobs have left the country. Cities such as Cleveland, Baltimore and Detroit were once shining examples of everything that was right about America, but now they stand out like festering sores. The "blue collar cities" have been hit the hardest by the gutting of our economic infrastructure. There are many communities in America today where it seems like all of the hope and all of the life have been sucked right out of them. You can see it in the eyes of the people. The good times are gone permanently and they know it. Unfortunately, the remainder of the country will soon be experiencing the despair that those communities are feeling.
The following are 12 hellholes that are examples of what the rest of America will look like soon....
The Arlington County Police Department has released shocking video from a Metrobus that stopped at the scene of a fatal pedestrian accident earlier this month.
The video was taken on the evening of July 1. Just minutes prior to the start of the video, a man had been struck by a car on Columbia Pike near the intersection with Four Mile Run Drive, which was darkened due to power outages in the area following the June 29 derecho. The video shows the bus pulling up to the scene, which was next to a bus stop. The man's bloodied body - blurred out by police - is lying on the sidewalk.
With the bus stopped, passengers file past the man's body. Although someone had called 911 - lights from police cars heading to the scene can be seen in the background - not a single person stops to check on the man, who was either dead or dying. A woman carrying shopping bags walks right by, without hesitation. One man crosses himself after getting on the bus.
Bias and bungled reporting on US news networks are behind plummeting audience numbers, according to the Gallup Poll.
As far as the 20% who do still trust the news I would suppose they simply either don't have internet access or when they go online the don't dare stray to far from sites owned by the corporations that own the corporate media.
For anyone who happens to land here that still believes the news is trustworthy these will instantly make you non-believers as well: Caught: Staged CNN Syria Interviews Faked By Activist Danny and Wag The Dog - Media Caught Faking Syria News Stories.
Of course that isn't even the tip of the iceberg.
RT reports on the Gallup Poll and the continual decline of the corporate media in the video below which also looks at a cutting-edge project that's encouraging ordinary Americans to drive our country's news agenda instead.

The Horror: Children play in the sea at Nakoso beach, open for the first time since the Fukushima disaster.
Local authorities decided to open Nakoso beach, located just 65km (40 miles) south of the stricken plant, after declaring the water safe. Radiation doses in the air were also low, at up to 0.07 microsieverts an hour, far below those considered a threat to health.
On Monday, which was a national holiday held to celebrate the ocean, about 1,000 people, including young families, headed to the beach for the first time in two summers.
"The water's still cold, but it's going to be a good season," Yukiei Hakozaki, a local guide, told Kyodo News. "We want lots of people to come."

A helicopter hovers over a refugee camp in the rain, its blades whirring as rain falls. Soldiers parachute into the forest near a Czervenian staging area and watch through night-vision scopes.
The scenes are part of "America's Army," a graphic novel launched by the U.S. Army in 2009. Once available only in a static form through a web-based reader, the panels now come alive with sound effects and partial animation in a new iPad and Android app released last week.
Soldiers can be heard rustling in leaves as they try to hide from Czervenian forces on a night mission. Gunfire rattles as the screen flashes with "BOOM," "PING," and "PANG."
Comment: Gotten your fill yet? Sounds pretty cool, eh? Except the parts they left out about the Military during times of war:
Kill your fellow man, get a shiny new medal for being a hero in some War who's effect will be settled by bankers, politicians and business men. That's right, step right up and gain PTSD (post traumatic stress disorder), live a life of fear and reaction to the next car horn, become more psychopathic, be the first kid on your block with a confirmed kill. There are NO other jobs, but you too, can become cannon fodder for the war machine. You too, can be gung-ho and mutilate the made-up-enemy-of-the-day, from the comfort of your base half-way across the globe and never have to look the (made up) enemy in the eye, with our new class of drone fighters!
That's the United States: The Greatest
