The disgraceful debate: Trump sways debate focus group, takes votes from Killary

trump
The moment Trump won the debate and won the hearts of millions: "You'd be in jail." The state of democracy in the U.S. may be deplorable, but at least it's entertaining.
Bob Schieffer was not a fan of Sunday night's presidential debate.

The CBS News contributor and former "Face the Nation" host called the debate between Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump "disgraceful."

"How have we come to this? This is supposed to be a campaign for the most powerful office of the land. Here we're marching in women into the hall who supposed to have some relationship with one of the candidate's spouses. What's that supposed to prove?" Schieffer said, citing women who claim former President Bill Clinton of sexual assault sitting in Trump's box at the debate. "I mean this is what they do in a Banana Republic. This is the United States of America.

"I just hope to God I don't see another campaign like this one. America can do better than what we have seen here tonight. This was just disgraceful," Schieffer said.

Comment: The U.S. may not be a banana republic per se, but it sure as heck isn't a democracy. What do you expect, Schieffer? This debate was the perfect representation of the state of American democracy in generations. In fact, this election will go down in history as the first truly American election, in which American values were for the first time laid bare for all the world to see.

Comment: Trump says some disgraceful things. Clinton and her supporters do, too. You just don't hear about them as much as you do Trump. Could have something to do with the fact that Clinton has the support of practically the entire MSM complex. Here's Clinton's foreign policy spokesman Jesse Lehrich telling Trump, "go f*** yourself" after Trump made the point that Captain Khan would not be dead if he'd been president. And here's a collection of Killary's despicable language and the deplorable way she treats people she considers beneath her. It's too explicit to quote in full, but here's a representative sample:
- "F*** off! It's enough I have to see you s***-kickers every day! I'm not going to talk to you, too! Just do your Goddamn job and keep your mouth shut." Hillary to her State Trooper bodyguards after one of them greeted her with "Good Morning." From the book "America Evita" by Christopher Anderson, p.90

- "Stay the f*** back, stay the f*** back away from me! Don't come within ten yards of me, or else! Just f***ing do as I say, Okay!!?" Hillary screaming at her Secret Service detail. From the book "Unlimited Access" by Clinton 's FBI Agent-in-Charge, Gary Aldridge, p.139

Good Samaritan extortion: Pastor facing $100 a day fines for helping homeless women & children on his own church's property

pastor fined
Proving once again that the state has no interest in helping people, the state of Delaware is attacking a pastor who would dare attempt to help the homeless. Pastor Aaron Appling of Victory Church West in Dover is being threatened with a $100 per day fine by county officials for allowing a 21-year-old homeless woman to live in an RV in the back of the church property.

Because Appling didn't go through the right channels of extortion and get his own property approved by the government to do with it what he wishes, officials are promising to extort him.

According to NBC Philadelphia, Kent County officials sent Appling a letter stating his church isn't zoned to let homeless people stay on the property. The letter warns that if the church doesn't act quickly, they could be fined $100 a day.

To be clear, a fine is backed by the threat of violence from the state for non-payment. If Appling continues to be a good samaritan by providing a woman with shelter and refuses to pay the $100 per day fine, he will receive a visit from armed agents of the state demanding payment.

Best of the Web: German journalist poses as intern to spy on RT Deutsch but turns into mainstream media doubter in only two days

A German undercover journalist enrolled as an intern at the RT Deutsch studio to spy on "Putin's propaganda broadcaster," but things didn't exactly go as planned. After just two days, the man began to question the mainstream media bias - and his own worldview.

German youth magazine Neon planted journalist Martin Schlak at the RT Deutsch office in Berlin. His mission was to find out how "Russia's truth" - to use his own term - is being made.

"I'm a spy," Schlak admits.

He writes he was eager to learn if RT's daily work would live up to the terms used by German mainstream media to describe it, such as "Putin's propaganda broadcaster" and "the Kremlin's weapon of hybrid warfare."

Comment: This poor guy must have suffered a serious case of cognitive dissonance.

A popular nightclub in Malmö was damaged in a powerful explosion in the early hours of Monday.

No one was injured in the blast, which was heard across large parts of central Malmö shortly after 1.30am on Monday.

Babel, a popular nightclub and concert venue in the Möllevången area, was damaged in the explosion, which shattered windows on the first floor. A car parked on the street outside was also damaged.

Police examined the property overnight. The explosion is believed to have been intentional, but in the morning it was still unclear what had caused the detonation.

"It's not a New Year's rocket exactly, but obviously something more powerful," police spokesperson Kim Hild told regional newspaper Sydsvenskan.

As The Local has previously reported, while Sweden is generally a peaceful, safe country with low crime rates, police have had difficulty addressing violence in its third-biggest city.

In recent years, there have been grenade attacks, shootings and incidents of car arson.

A UK woman who was eight months pregnant prematurely gave birth after she was startled by a 'killer clown'. The woman is said to be doing well after a 17-year-old frightened her as part of the bizarre craze.

The latest victim of the clown craze was reported on Facebook by a friend of the woman, who described the incident saying a "stupid 17-year-old kid" jumped on the mother-to-be dressed as a clown in Whitwick, Leicestershire.

"It's a nonsense craze that needs stopping," she added.

Their research reveals that 79 percent of the respondents saw no, or very little, signs of ethnic tensions in the areas where they reside, with four percent saying the question was too complicated for a simple, direct answer.

At the same time, the share of the population which sees the possibility of violent mass conflicts on ethnic grounds was 14 percent this year, compared to 12 percent a year ago, and only 10 percent in 2009. The vast majority of Russians (84 percent) do not believe that ethnic tensions in the country could result in violence.

Comment: Contrast this with the refugee hysteria in Europe and the rising racial tensions within the United States.

Cop caught chasing after women while publicly masturbating — said he had to do it to stay awake, gets placed on paid vacation

Cop publicly masturbating
Killing a man by tasering him to death while in handcuffs won't get you charged as a law enforcement officer. However, whipping out your penis and masturbating will, as a Pennsylvania cop is quickly learning.

Bethlehem police officer Glenn C. Woolard is now backpedaling, claiming that the multiple instances of women reporting his public masturbation — next to them — were just a big misunderstanding.

Woolard, 35, allegedly confessed to state police during an interview Friday that he was masturbating in his parked car in a parking lot on North Krocks Road in Lower Macgunie Township Sept. 27, according to a criminal complaint.

During the same interview, he also confessed to masturbating again a week later, this time, while driving down the road.

Confrontations escalating: South Korean coastguard threatens to shoot Chinese fishing boats

korean coast guard south china sea
© Arun Sanksr / AFP
Violent confrontations could escalate between South Korea and Chinese boats found fishing in its waters after the US ally sanctioned a greater use of force, including the use of firearms, to control its sea border.

The threat of lethal force comes as China publically berated the US over its operations close to artificial islands Beijing has built in the South China Sea, and its plan to deploy a missile defense system to South Korea.

China's ambassador was summoned by South Korean officials to protest the latest clash off the Korean peninsula's west coast, in which a coastguard patrol boat sank last week after being rammed by a Chinese fishing vessel. There were no reported casualties.

Three Chinese fishermen were killed last month when a fire broke out on their boat after a South Korean coastguard threw flash grenades into their cabin.

In response to the frequent skirmishes, South Korean coastguard officials announced on Tuesday they would authorize the use of handguns and onboard cannon to attack Chinese vessels they deem threatening.

14 reasons why 'the Trump tapes' don't matter by Dilbert creator Scott Adams

Dilbert creator Scott Adams
Dilbert creator Scott Adams
None other than anti-Trump GOP establishmentarian Erick Erickson (yeah seriously) threw down the gauntlet at Dilbert Creator Scott Adams following the Access Hollywood recording in which Donald Trump said bad things eleven years ago...

Well, he didn't have to wait long... Challenge accepted!
I'll give you my thoughts, in no particular order.

1. If this were anyone else, the election would be over. But keep in mind that Trump doesn't need to outrun the bear. He only needs to outrun his camping buddy. There is still plenty of time for him to dismantle Clinton. If you think things are interesting now, just wait. There is lots more entertainment coming.

2. This was not a Trump leak. No one would invite this sort of problem into a marriage.

3. I assume that publication of this recording was okayed by the Clinton campaign. And if not, the public will assume so anyway. That opens the door for Trump to attack in a proportionate way. No more mister-nice-guy. Gloves are off. Nothing is out of bounds. It is fair to assume that Bill and Hillary are about to experience the worst weeks of their lives.
