Paris attacks: Counter-terrorism chief wants fingerprinting & iris scans for everyone entering UK borders

Every person entering the United Kingdom should be forced to undergo "fool-proof" fingerprinting and iris scans, the country's newly appointed counter-terrorism chief says, claiming the move will prevent terrorists from entering Britain.

Speaking one year after the Paris attacks left 130 people dead and 368 injured, the UK's new senior national coordinator for counter-terrorism policing, Neil Basu, said the atrocities were a "sit up and think" moment for those tasked with defending Britain.

"Society needs to debate what's required. But in law enforcement, I'd say if you want security, you need to improve your biometrics at the borders," he said, as quoted by the Telegraph.

Sean Stone, co-host of RT's 'Watching the Hawks,' debuts his new documentary, 'A Century of War,' chronicling the American shift to a post-industrial society and offering strategies to rebuild US infrastructure, starting with energy.

"What happened to the American Century? What happened to America's ideal of progress?" Stone asks, as the centennial of the US entering World War I approaches.

This election year saw the triumph of Americans feeling squeezed out of the traditional middle-class economy. Stone argues that "a century of war has taken its toll on the great American republic."

Veterans in 2016: Backlogs, coverage gaps, and a vague Trump mandate

U.S. President Barack Obama arrives to lay a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier at Arlington National Cemetery on Veterans Day in Virginia November 11, 2016.
November 11 is designated Veterans Day in the US, a nation with almost 19 million military veterans. President-elect Trump has promised to "clean up" the Department of Veterans Affairs, which has struggled to meet the needs of war-weary former troops.

In 2015, there were 18.8 million living US veterans, according to the US Census Bureau. Nearly 80 percent of them were non-Hispanic white, while 11.6 percent and 6.4 percent of them were black and Hispanic, respectively. Female veterans numbered more than 1.5 million, as did those younger than age 35. More than 9 million vets were age 65 and older, many of whom served in the Vietnam War.

In May, the US House and Senate separately passed discretionary funding budgets for the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) of more than $70 billion, lower than what the Obama administration recommended.

She was the number 2 for the most corrupt politician to ever run for the US Presidency.

Her husband was caught sexting women for a second time, including sexting an underage girl.

Her emails, found on the laptop of her sexting husband, helped bring down the Clinton crime machine.

Huma Abedin had a very bad month, and The Daily Mail UK sums it up...
- Hillary Clinton's closest aide Huma Abedin wept in the street as she approached the failed campaign's headquarters in Brooklyn

- The FBI investigation into her pervert estranged husband Anthony Weiner is being cited as one of the reasons for her boss losing - it led to the Clinton email investigation being re-opened

A large metal object has fallen from the sky into a jade mining area in north Myanmar, state media say. The cylindrical object, found on Thursday in Kachin state, is 4.5m (15ft) long and 1.2m wide.

Another piece of metal with Chinese writing on it tore through the roof of a nearby house at about the same time, but no injuries were reported. It is thought that the incident might be related to the launch of a Chinese satellite.

A Chinese Long March 11 rocket lifted off from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Centre on Wednesday night, carrying an experimental satellite.

'Houses shook'

Local residents reported hearing a loud bang before the object landed. Officials from the local Defence Service said it bounced 150ft (50m) and landed in a muddy area of the mine, according to the Global New Light of Myanmar newspaper.

"We were all afraid of that explosion," villager Ko Maung Myo told the Myanmar Times. "Initially, we thought it was a battle. The explosion made our houses shake. We saw the smoke from our village."

He said that the air near the object smelled acrid.

"The metal objects are assumed to be part of a satellite or the engine parts of a plane or missile," Global New Light reported.

The object appeared to be same shape and size as a part of the rocket known as a stage, says BBC science correspondent Jonathan Amos. Rocket stages are supposed to fall away into bodies of water or uninhabited areas. The Kachin state government said it was unable to immediately identify the object.

North Carolina chapter of the Ku Klux Klan to hold Trump victory parade

The Ku Klux Klan announced it will hold a victory parade in North Carolina in December to celebrate Donald Trump's win.

The white supremacist group endorsed the Republican presidential candidate in April, with its unnamed 'Imperial Wizard' voicing his support for the former businessman.

The parade is being organized by the 'Loyal White Knights of the Ku Klux Klan' in Pelham on December 3, but the time and location of the 'Victory Klavalkade Klan Parade' are being kept under wraps.

On the group's website, between statements like, "One country, one flag, one language,""Trump's race united my people,"and images of white hooded groups, the KKK seeks to "dispel some of the lies told about us by the liberal news media."

Comment: Don't forget that Killary received monetary support and endorsement from the KKK. Sure, Trump made some insensitive statements but is he any more 'racist' than your average white billionaire? Who knows? One thing is for sure, racism and racist acts have always existed in this country and the Klan has always held rallies espousing their views. A Trump presidency is bringing more racists out of hiding, for sure, but Trump didn't start the fire. Leave it to 'muricans to run with it as they always do.

Sheriff

Corrupt Indiana Sheriff's office just raided by dozens of federal & state police

FBI raid
The FBI and the Indiana State Police have descended upon Lake County Sherriff's Department (IN) and the home of Sherriff John Buncich, subpoenas in hand, and dollies in tow. While the FBI would not comment on the purpose of their raid, one source indicated the federal and state authorities were investigating a large-scale bribery scheme.

A reported 38 federal and state investigators were inside the department, ordered everyone out, and then began to peruse through campaign finance records which seemed to indicate Sherriff Bunich had received nearly $9,000 in campaign donations from local towing companies.

One of those companies was also raided. Sampson Towing was said to have been the target of the FBI's investigation, and FBI agents swooped into the towing company's place of business which reportedly has a back lot used for stowing towed vehicles. Typically, when an accident happens, towing companies are usually contacted by the police to arrive on scene and effect the removal of inoperable vehicles, vehicles involved in accidents, and vehicles which have been impounded by police. Often, the towing company collects a per diem storage fee while legal matters are resolved. While, at the moment, the federal and state officials have not publicly commented on their investigation, one might be tempted to put two and two together and arrive at a conclusion the three separate raids are related to each other.

Precious snowflakes: Grieving liberal students beg for exam cancellations in wake of Killary's loss

distraught Hillary fans election
Liberal students across the nation watched in shock as Donald Trump clinched victory from Hillary Clinton to become the 45th president of the United States.

But some wiped their tears, and pulled themselves together enough to ask their professors to cancel their exams because they were so upset by the results.

And one Yale economics professor heard the cry, and decided to protect his snowflake charges by making the test optional.
