Nearly 10 months after the November 2020 election, Pennsylvania Republicans will hold a public hearing on their investigation into the election results, a state Senate committee announced Thursday.

The Senate Intergovernmental Operations Committee will hold its first public hearing for a probe into election "irregularities" on Sept. 9 at the state Capitol, Chairman Sen. Cris Dush (R) said in a statement.

The committee is inviting Pennsylvania Department of State officials to testify "regarding last-minute guidance provided to counties and its impact on the 2020 General Election." Dush said the hearing will be part of a broader inquiry into Pennsylvania's election system. The time and location of the hearing is still being determined.

In addition to testimony from officials, the committee is requesting sworn testimony from the public "regarding problems they have personally experienced with the state's election system."

On Friday, appearing on Fox & Friends to respond to President Biden's statement requiring businesses with over 100 employees to "ensure their workforce is fully vaccinated or require any workers who remain unvaccinated to produce a negative test result on at least a weekly basis before coming to work," Daily Wire Editor Emeritus Ben Shapiro stated that his company would "use every method and resource at our disposal to defy the president's unconstitutional order."

"I think that he's made a huge tactical legal blunder here," Shapiro said. "I think that there's every possibility that something like this goes to the Supreme Court level, and suddenly we see a complete rewriting of the administrative state because Joe Biden couldn't get his act in order," and blasting, "Joe Biden couldn't get his act in order, and so he decided to issue a tyrannical and authoritarian order here."

Bosses at Google are pushing training that suggests babies are racist, while BBC workers are playing games to 'assess their privilege'. While employees pay lip service to it all, you can bet many think it's utter madness.

I have some gut-wrenching, terrible news for the wokeys trying to bend and hammer and shape society and culture to their will: it doesn't work.

For example, any employee with half a dozen fully operational brain cells knows that they must emit positive noises after sitting through an unconscious bias or diversity awareness training course.

A deputy mayor of a New York village is facing state and federal charges after he was found with a cache of unregistered firearms and fake FBI badges, prosecutors said.

Brian Downey, deputy mayor of Airmont in Rockland County, was arrested at his home Thursday for purchasing a rifle suppression device over the internet. Department of Homeland Security agents had tipped off prosecutors to the delivery of the illegal device, Rockland County District Attorney Tom Walsh said.

Women in Scotland have taken their battle with the SNP and leader Nicola Sturgeon online after the nationalist party said that plans to reform gender laws in favour of self-identification were back on the table.

The Scottish government is once again coming under fire for its controversial positioning on gender identity. On Thursday, hundreds took to Twitter to voice their opposition to recent developments, including First Minister Nicola Sturgeon's announcement on Tuesday that reforms to gender identity law were back on the agenda, having been suspended during the pandemic.

She said the Gender Recognition Reform bill "will make the existing process of gender recognition less degrading, intrusive and traumatic. In other words, it will make life easier for one of the most stigmatised minorities in our society."

More businesses are expected to require vaccinations following FDA approval of the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine.

A new poll suggests a significant share of unvaccinated Americans may be resistant to COVID-19 vaccine mandates put in place by their employer.

A Washington Post-ABC News poll asked unvaccinated workers whose employers have yet to impose a vaccine mandate what they were likely to do if getting vaccinated was required to go into the workplace.

The poll found 16 percent of unvaccinated workers would get the shot, 35 percent would ask for a medical or religious exemption and 42 percent would quit their job.

When asked what they would do if they weren't given an exemption to opt out of the requirement, 18 percent of those surveyed said they would comply and 72 percent said they would quit.

The fire at Aubert et Duval
The fire brigade was on duty on Friday morning to put out a major fire at Aubert et Duval in Pamiers in Ariège. The fire broke out early in the morning at around 6:30 a.m. According to the prefecture, "the fire quickly spread throughout the building. The staff was evacuated immediately. No injuries were reported."

Aubert et Duval specializes in the industrial processing of iron. The Airbus supplier is the largest private employer in Ariège. According to the radio station France Blue an acid bath caught fire.

The prefecture wrote on Twitter: "Residents within 200 meters of the factory are asked to withdraw as a precaution. The rest of the population is asked not to move. The entrances to Pamiers are closed to traffic to allow the work of the Not to hinder emergency services. "

A Huron University College professor is speaking out against the institution's vaccine mandate, questioning the ethics of "coercing people into medical procedures" for those refusing to get the COVID-19 vaccine. The professor states in the video, which has since been removed from YouTube, that she fears for her employment.

Julie Ponesse, an ethics professor at Huron University College which is affiliated with Western University, describes it as "ethically wrong" to require staff and students to be fully vaccinated, despite the policy also being encouraged by Ontario health officials.

"I am facing imminent dismissal after 20 years on the job. Because I will not submit to having an experimental vaccine injected into my body," said Ponesse in the video.

"I don't work in a high-risk environment. I'm not a doctor in an emergency room. I'm a teacher. I'm a university professor," she adds.

This video comes amid a statement released Tuesday by Western University President and Vice-Chancellor Alan Shepard, after a "disturbing trend" involving several large gatherings near the campus in London, Ont., during frosh week.

Books featuring so-called 'outdated content' are being burned as a goodwill gesture to Indigenous people in Ontario. This fills me with dread, as history has shown us that the torching of ideas usually has disastrous consequences.

First, a confession. I get really emotional and upset when I encounter ritual book-burning. So when I read that in Canada, more than 4,700 books have been removed from the library shelves of schools and burned, I cannot help but feel depressed.

The book burning ceremony organised by an Ontario francophone school board was promoted as a "gesture of reconciliation" to Indigenous peoples. This barbaric act against enlightened cultural norms was labelled as a "flame purification ceremony."

In line with the current fashion for recycling, Lyne Cossette, a spokeswoman for the school board, indicated that "symbolically, some books were used as fertiliser."
