Two men are in hospital after being stabbed at London's Elephant and Castle tube station on Sunday night.

Police officers were called to the south London station around 11.30pm BST on Sunday after two males were found seriously injured in a street nearby.

A 24-year-old man is in a critical condition, while a 25-year-old male is in a serious condition, British Transport Police said. Two men have been arrested in relation to the incident.

At least six teenagers received gunshot wounds after unidentified assailants opened fire at the end of a high school football game in Mobile, Alabama.

Mobile Police Chief Lawrence Battiste told local media that two individuals were detained in connection with the attack. He said that 10 people were injured in total, but four of the injuries were not gunshot wounds. The victims ranged in age from 15 to 18 years old. Their conditions were not immediately clear.

Witnesses say there was a fight in the stands several minutes before the end of the game.

A string of recent high-profile social media controversies by New York Times journalists has reportedly left a slew of staffers at the embattled newspaper feeling aggravated and listless.

Supporters of Muammar Gaddafi flooded the town of Bani Walid to mark half a century since the overthrow of the monarchy by army officers led by the late Libyan leader, who was brutally killed by pro-NATO rebels eight years ago.

Residents of Bani Walid, a small desert town which remained loyal to Gaddafi even after his gruesome execution as a result of the 2011 NATO-led intervention, swarmed the streets on Sunday to mark the anniversary of the 1969 revolution that brought down the court of King Idris, abolishing the Libyan monarchy.

Many who descended on Bani Walid waved green flags, Libya's national flag under Gaddafi, and carried posters with the images of Gaddafi and his second son, Saif al-Islam. Cars honked their horns in solidarity as they drove past the jubilant demonstrators, according to footage from RT's video agency, Ruptly.

Harvard University has more money in its endowment than 109 countries have wealth, a recent report said, and it's not the only school with more cash than most nations. For the rich, maintaining the status quo doesn't come cheap.

"America's public schooling system may be in trouble, but its top universities are anything but," said a story by Stacker, which compared the multi-billion endowments of 50 American colleges to the "total wealth" of world nations as estimated by Credit Suisse. The list saw five universities - including Princeton, Stanford, Yale, and the University of Texas System - beat over half of world's 195 economies. Topping the list with its massive $38.3 billion endowment came Harvard.

Perhaps more than even the other Ivy League colleges, Harvard sells more than just a degree. A Harvard education provides entrée into exclusive circles populated by the very wealthy and very influential, and the school puts a lot of effort into nurturing this reputation. The quality of a Harvard education has somewhat dipped over the past decade, now occupying the sixth spot according to The Times Higher Education World University Rankings, but the same firm has invariably ranked the institution's reputation as pristine, scoring a perfect 100 on both research and teaching.

Iraq's High Commissioner of Human Rights disclosed that over 12,000 victims of the crimes committed by the ISIS are in hundreds of mass graves inside Iraq.

"There are around 200 mass graves containing bodies of people killed by the ISIL (also known as Islamic State, ISIS or Daesh) terrorist group in different parts of Iraq after the terrorists occupied Western Iraq in 2014," member of Iraq's High Commissioner of Human Rights Ali al-Bayati told al-Qud al-Arabi on Saturday.

He noted that Iraq's mass graves contain bodies of over 12,000 victims killed by ISIS. Al-Bayati also noted that over 7,000 people had been abducted by the ISIS and half of them have not returned home yet, adding:

"According to the evidence we have obtained the kidnapped children and women have been trafficked to some Persian Gulf littoral states and also some Western, mostly European states."

Police in Odessa, Texas, report that eight people were killed and nearly 20 were injured in a shooting that began after a traffic stop on Saturday afternoon. Three officers are said to be among the wounded. Police shot and killed the suspect. The eighth person died Sunday morning in Midland, Texas.

UPDATE 9:30 a.m.: What we know...

1. Two Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) troopers attempted to stop a gold Honda for a traffic violation on Interstate Highway 20 near mile marker 131 at about 3 p.m. on Saturday.
2. Before stopping for the troopers, the driver reportedly pointed a rifle toward his rear window striking the patrol vehicle and one of the troopers.
3. The shooter then fled the scene and began randomly shooting at people on the highway and city surface streets.
4. The shooter stole a USPS mail delivery van and dumped the Honda. He reportedly shot the USPS driver.
5. The shooter continued his rampage before being cornered by multiple police officers at the rear of the Cinergy movie theater in Odessa.
6. Gunfire erupted at the Cinergy leaving the shooter dead and a Midland police officer and an Odessa police officer wounded.
7. By Sunday morning, the death toll rose to eight people, including the shooter. One person died Sunday morning in Midland. The shooting rampage left nearly 20 people injured.
8. Police have not yet identified the shooter or released any information about his motivation.

The Canadian human-rights litigant formerly known as Jonathan Yaniv — a trans woman who now goes by the name Jessica, but whom we will refer to simply as "JY" — is a unique figure among those who follow the debate over transgender rights. In 2018, this self-described "global internet personality" and "social justice warrior" contacted numerous Vancouver-area aestheticians seeking Brazilian-wax services — a process Wikipedia describes as "the removal of all pubic hair from the [female] pelvic region, vulva, labia, perineum and anus, while sometimes leaving a thin strip of hair on the mons pubis." As reported by Joseph Brean in Canada's National Post, JY seems to have sometimes used the name "Jonathan" when first making contact (an act of self-"deadnaming," as it were), revealing only later in the conversations that the "Brazilian" in question would be performed on a client who is legally a woman, albeit a woman who has a penis and testicles. Predictably, some of the aestheticians indicated that they either didn't have the expertise to perform their trade on such a client, or resisted the idea of having a male-bodied individual in their work area (which may also be their home, with children on premises) — at which point JY responded with human-rights complaints.
