Can he say it? Canada's Trudeau confuses internet with newest acronym for sexual minorities, 2SLGBTQQIA+

Canadian PM Justin Trudeau sparked an online storm after he used an obscure acronym, 2SLGBTQQIA+, while commemorating missing and murdered members of ethnic and sexual minorities, prompting a collective head scratching.

"People across the country are lighting candles to honour Indigenous women, girls, and 2SLGBTQQIA+ people who are missing or have been murdered," Trudeau tweeted on Tuesday, urging an end to the "ongoing tragedy."

The message, however, appeared to be lost on a sizeable portion of netizens who struggled to decipher the cumbersome and seldom-used acronym - which stands for: Two Spirit, Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Questioning, Intersex, and Asexual people, with a plus-sign added for good measure to cover any potentially overlooked groups.

'Woke' govt-funded London tour guide targets racist PLANTS, says botanical terms like 'native' & 'invasive' are offensive

A sightseeing pamphlet funded by Transport for London has claimed that the capital's gardens and green spaces are filled with colourful colonial legacies and that many terms in botany, like "exotic", are insulting and offensive.

The 'Art on the Underground' pamphlet guides visitors around the UK's capital city through green spaces in Brixton and South London, focusing on the "colonial connotations" of British gardens and horticulture.

The downloaded guide says it "addresses the legacies of the British empire" and looks "at gardens as places to consider injustice, oppression and colonial legacy" - rather than somewhere to simply enjoy plants and nature.

Comment: There is no subject or location safe from the social justice warrior.

According to the pamphlet, many common plants found in the UK have "colonial roots" and reflect "racial slurs." For example, the sightseeing map states that Wisteria's problematic history is related to John Reeve, an East India Company tea inspector, who brought the plant to England in 1812.

People injured by COVID-19 jab share their horror stories

At the end of June 2021, Wisconsin Sen. Ron Johnson held a news conference with families who shared stories about the injuries they'd suffered as a result of taking the COVID jab. You can watch the hour-long meeting, which was widely censored and suppressed, above.

Comment: You can find the video below.

While Johnson is diplomatic, stating that most people have no problem after taking the jab, and that the shots have saved many lives, it seems clear that side effects from the COVID injections are FAR more common than anyone is willing to publicly admit.

Case in point: September 10, 2021, WXYZ-TV Channel 7 posted a request on Facebook,1,2 asking people who had lost an unvaccinated loved one to COVID-19 to contact them for a story.

Far-right extremists in Ukraine's military have bragged they received training from the Canadian Forces and other NATO nations, a new study from an American university has uncovered.

Comment: No surprise that Canada is assisting the worst elements in what's left of Ukraine's government. Canada's Deputy Prime Minister Chrystia Freeland has long-standing ties to the neo nazis there.

EU leaders are meeting Tuesday evening in nearby Kranj, Slovenia, to discuss increasingly tense relations with China and the security implications of the chaotic U.S.-led exit from Afghanistan, before taking part in a summit with Balkans leaders on Wednesday.
Police fired tear gas and water cannons at anti-government protesters in Slovenia's capital Tuesday, the eve of a major European Union summit.

Hundreds of protesters showed up to oppose the Slovenian government's pandemic restrictions, and the confrontation was the third such incident in Ljubljana within a month.

Golden State Warriors star forward Andrew Wiggins said he is still frustrated about getting the COVID-19 vaccine, saying that he doesn't own his body anymore, the San Francisco Chronicle reported.

Speaking to reporters after the Warriors preseason game on Monday, Wiggins said he felt he was forced to get vaccinated since there was a chance he would've been barred from participating in home games this season.

San Francisco's city government last month issued a new mandate where citizens have to show proof of vaccination to attend large indoor events, prohibiting citizens from showing negative COVID-19 tests.

Companies are so desperate to fill jobs they're getting rid of drug tests

The global labor shortage has made work perks all but essential for companies scrambling to fill open roles. But in addition to promises of higher wages, flexible schedules and free college tuition for workers, one hurdle to getting a job is disappearing.

In a survey out Tuesday from staffing firm ManpowerGroup, 9% of employers worldwide said they are eliminating job screenings or drug tests in order to attract and retain talent.

Some 69% of employers worldwide are having trouble finding the people they need, with countries like India, Romania and Singapore reporting a particularly difficult time hiring. The poll results, which include data from over 45,000 employers from 43 countries and territories, underscores just how desperate companies are getting. While half of them are dangling monetary incentives, 20% are offering non-financial benefits like extra vacation days or, yes, the ability to do (certain) drugs in the employee's free time without worrying about repercussions.

'Torture machine': Russian rights defender shares shocking prison videos

russian prison
Prison No. 19 in Russia's Irkutsk region.
A prominent Russian human rights defender says his team has obtained a large batch of videos that he claims show prison inmates being tortured by agents of the Federal Security Service (FSB) and Federal Penitentiary Service (FSIN).

Vladimir Osechkin wrote on Facebook on October 4 that the videos "prove" that FSB and FSIN members are using rape and other forms of torture to force inmates to cooperate with them and that they "themselves become part of the torture machine" by snitching on other inmates or by signing false testimonies prepared by investigators.

Russian prosecutors said on October 5 that they had launched a preliminary investigation into the videos already released by Osechkin, while Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov promised a "serious" probe if the incidents depicted in the clips turn out to be genuine.

Woman charged with attempted murder in Times Square subway shove

A woman with a lengthy rap sheet is facing attempted murder charges for allegedly shoving a female straphanger into the side of an arriving train at Times Square, authorities said Tuesday morning.

Anthonia Egegbara, 29, was taken into custody at the same station where she allegedly pushed the 42-year-old victim from behind just as a No. 3 train pulled in a day earlier, police said.

Surveillance footage released by the NYPD late Monday shows the bandanna-wearing suspect sitting on a bench on the platform just after 8 a.m. โ€” and getting up to perfectly time her push as the train rolled in.

Comment: This woman is clearly mentally unstable and a danger to the general public. Why is she still on the streets?

Why people don't want to go back to work anymore

man suit mask airport
© Getty Images"The closing of public schools during the pandemic has also affected the labor market," writes Pahrump Valley Times freelance columnist Tim Burke. "For many families, school closures, hybrid models of partial in-person schooling and partial virtual learning, and limited day care options have necessitated at least one adult home to supervise and care for children."
"No one wants to work anymore" is what employers are saying in response to a large number of job openings with no takers. Businesses from small "mom and pop" establishments to major hotel/casino corporations are having difficulty filling open jobs.

I walked into a family-owned restaurant in Las Vegas last week, and half of the dining room was closed off. I asked why and was told, "we can't get anybody in here to wait on tables and bus dishes."

Many businesses in Pahrump have help wanted signs prominently displayed at their business entrances. Some Pahrump businesses have decreased their hours open to the public to offset their labor shortage.
