Major outages saw power grids go down simultaneously in Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan on Tuesday

Millions of people across Central Asia have been left without electricity after a shared power grid went down, cutting off national networks in three seperate countries on Tuesday.

Massive blackouts have been reported in southern Kazakhstan, including parts of Almaty, the country's former capital.

Trolley buses ground to a halt in the city, home to around 1.7 million people, and traffic lights went out on a number of intersections, creating long queues of vehicles.

The American dream - 'You have to be asleep to believe it'

American Dream
© Armstrong Economics
The American Dream, where once upon a time, was when a parent saved to raise their children to have a perpetual better life than they had. Parents would save for their college education and they pushed their children to achieve. My father began saving the day I was born for my college education and law school.

Americans, no matter the circumstances of their birth, all shared freedom, opportunity, the right to build private businesses and enterprises, and a republic - "Representative Democracy." We raised our children believing that they had a legitimate opportunity to live a better life than we did predicated upon their own skills and intelligence. We tried to instill a good work ethic, and that would provide good fortune for the future ahead.
American Way

But in today's world, our politicians have sought to replace parents all under the guise of socialism. Individualism, we are now told from the likes of Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, is evil and we are now to become just part of the collective hive. The ruling elite has stolen the wealth of the nation and its citizens while pretending this is somehow for our benefit. This was not an accident, but a plan implemented over many decades in the dark corners of the mind of Klaus Schwab.

US Navy F-35C fighter jet CRASHES into USS Carl Vinson in South China Sea, 7 injured

F-35C USS Carl Vinson

Sailors taxi an F-35C Lightning II, assigned to the 'Argonauts' of Strike Fighter Squadron (VFA) 147, on the flight deck of the USS Carl Vinson on January 22
Seven U.S. military personnel were hurt on Monday when an F-35C warplane had a 'landing mishap' on the deck of the aircraft carrier USS Carl Vinson in the South China Sea and the pilot ejected, the U.S Navy said.

A Navy statement said the incident happened during 'routine flight operations' in the South China Sea.

The status of the $94 million fighter jet was unclear.

'The pilot safely ejected from the aircraft and was recovered via U.S. military helicopter,' it said.

'The pilot is in stable condition. There were seven total sailors injured.'

The statement said three of personnel required evacuation to a medical facility in Manila and four were treated by on-board the carrier and released.

Comment: The seemingly increasing occurrence of these crashes and failures in recent years is rather telling as to the state of the West. However, perhaps more importantly, what with the West's escalation of aggression in Ukraine against Russia, and the US increasing its military presence in the South China Sea, 'mishaps' like this could, potentially, have devastating consequences: Also check out SOTT radio's: NewsReal: Why You Should Question Media Reports About China 'Causing Covid' And 'Invading Taiwan'

Freedom Convoy: Truckers angry over vaccine mandates roll toward Canada's capital in protest

Trucks line up to cross the U.S. border in Sarnia, Ontario, after the COVID-19 vaccine mandate took effect.
'I'm literally going to lose my truck, my house, my car, my savings,' says unvaccinated owner-operator.

Truck drivers in Canada are slow-rolling in convoys across the country to protest the COVID-19 vaccine mandate at the U.S. border, with plans to converge at the capital, Ottawa, on Saturday.

Among them will be Ontario owner-operator Brigitte Belton, who until recently regularly moved freight between the U.S. and Canada. Since Saturday, she and other drivers who haven't been vaccinated against COVID-19 have been barred from crossing the border.

Comment:

From National Post:
Truck Convoy supporters would be correct in their contention that the protest isn't attracting nearly as much official attention compared to prior protests that have been numerically much smaller, such as the pro-Wet'suwet'en blockades that dominated the national discourse in early 2020. Only on Monday did the convoy first receive acknowledgement from major party leaders. Conservative Leader Erin O'Toole dodged a question on the convoy, while Prime Minister Justin Trudeau obliquely mentioned the protests while accusing Conservatives of "fear mongering" by linking trucker vaccine mandates to supply chain disruptions.

Actually, one of the only major organizations to comment on the protest has been the Canadian Trucking Alliance, who denounced it . The CTA - which previously opposed vaccine mandates on truckers - is now advising truckers to comply and "strongly disapproves" of protests to the contrary . "This regulation is not changing so, as an industry, we must adapt and comply with this mandate," wrote the group in a Saturday statement.

The View pushes the 'new normal': 'I may never...feel comfortable without a mask'

the view
Whoopi Goldberg went on a rant against Bill Maher on "The View," lambasting him for criticizing vaccine and mask mandates. Co-host Sara Haines went on to say that she may never feel comfortable again unless she's wearing a mask.

Goldberg calls mainstream talk show host Maher "out on the fringe" at the start of her rant: "People on the fringe ... who are speaking out like this, and over the weekend, Bill Maher made a case for people who are vaccinated, boosted, and have been following the rules since all of this started. Take a look."

A clip of Maher's show then rolls, showing him making a joke about people "scanning your head" as if you were a "bunch of bananas," and then saying that the people in favor of all these COVID-19 rules are the ones who are "bananas."

Police investigate near the scene of Monday's shooting in Heidelberg
Police in the southern German city are investigating after several people were injured and one killed when a single shooter opened fire inside a lecture hall before taking his own life.

One woman was killed and three people injured in a shooting at Heidelberg University on Monday.

Police said at a press conference Monday evening that a man entered a university lecture hall with a double-barreled shotgun and another firearm as a class was running and opened fire.

Four people were wounded. A 23-year-old woman died several hours later in the hospital; the other victims suffered injures in the face, back and legs, police said.

Europe could be headed for pandemic 'endgame': WHO

omicron
The Omicron variant has moved the COVID-19 pandemic into a new phase and could bring it to an end in Europe, the WHO Europe director said Sunday.

"It's plausible that the region is moving towards a kind of pandemic endgame," Hans Kluge told AFP in an interview, adding that Omicron could infect 60 percent of Europeans by March.

Once the current surge of Omicron sweeping across Europe subsides, "there will be for quite some weeks and months a global immunity, either thanks to the vaccine or because people have immunity due to the infection, and also lowering seasonality".

"We anticipate that there will be a period of quiet before COVID-19 may come back towards the end of the year, but not necessarily the pandemic coming back," Kluge said.

Auschwitz Memorial says RFK Jr. speech at anti-vaccine rally exploits Holocaust tragedy

RFK anti-mandate rally washington
© Associated Press/Patrick Semansky
The Auschwitz Memorial denounced comments made by Robert F. Kennedy Jr.'s at an anti-vaccine rally in Washington DC on Sunday as "exploiting the tragedy" of the Holocaust.

During a speech at the rally, Kennedy, a conspiracy theorist and prominent anti-vaxxer, warned of a massive surveillance network being created with satellites in space and 5G mobile networks collecting data.

Comment: To clarify, it was an anti-mandate rally, not an "anti-vaccine rally." And calling RFK a "conspiracy theorist" is also intended as a smear (someone who points out conspiracies with evidence is not a "theorist," after all). By mischaracterizing it, The Hill is clearly indicating they've taken sides (not that this is a big shocker).

"Even in Hitler's Germany, you could hide in the attic like Anne Frank did," Kennedy said, illustrating his point that surveillance today is all-encompassing.

Comment: Comparisons of the current totalitarian control system to Nazi Germany are apt. The fact that 'official organizations' like the Auschwitz Memorial refuse to see this gives more insight into their mandate than they likely realize.

Pfizer CEO says frequent boosters 'not a good scenario,' hopes for yearly vaccine

Pfizer CEO Albert Bourla
© Associated Press/Giannis Papanikos
Pfizer CEO Albert Bourla on Saturday said people getting COVID-19 booster shots every four to five months is "not a good scenario" and argued that an annual vaccine would be a better approach to fighting the virus.

Bourla told the Hebrew publication N12 News in an exclusive interview that the best way to combat COVID-19 is a vaccine that can be administered every year, not with boosters received every few months, according to Reuters.

"This will not be a good scenario," he said when asked about people getting booster shots every four to five months, per the wire service. "What I'm hoping [is] that we will have a vaccine that you will have to do once a year."

Tens of thousands gather in Washington to call for an end to Covid mandates (UPDATE)

washington rally mandates protest
Tens of thousands of Americans marched to Washington, DC, to call for an end to COVID mandates. The Children's Health Defense is sponsoring the event and say they're expecting 20,000 people to participate in the mile-long march on Sunday.

Comment: Speaking of Rogan, here's how Vice reported on the march:
vice headline joe rogan
(To be clear, Joe Rogan had nothing to do with the march). Once you've created a bad guy (or attempted to), better use it to it's full potential!

More from the Daily Caller:
Over 30,000 People Marched To 'Defeat The Mandates' In Washington DC

Over 30,000 people took to the streets in Washington D.C. for the "Defeat the Mandates: An American Homecoming" march to protest "draconian COVID-19 requirements" Sunday, Fox News reported.
...
"You're going to hear a lot of people ... on the left say this is a big, anti-vax rally — it's people coming in to deny science" said march organizer and PragerU commentator Will Witt, according to Fox News. "But this march is about the mandate, and this march is about the Draconian measures that we're seeing all across this country right now, especially in places like D.C., New York City, Los Angeles, San Francisco."

Nationwide, state and federal COVID-19 vaccination mandates are coming under fire. On Friday, a Texas federal judge blocked President Joe Biden's mandate forcing all federal employees and contractors be vaccinated.

The Supreme Court also blocked Biden's private sector vaccination mandate, noting that "Although Congress has indisputably given OSHA the power to regulate occupational dangers, it has not given that agency the power to regulate public health more broadly." However, the Court ruled to reinstate the vaccination mandate for healthcare workers.
And no anti-madate protest in the US would be complete without some lefties having a meltdown and mischaracterizing the attendiees. From RT:
A small counter-protest of just a handful of people could also be seen at the event, while one woman was recorded having a meltdown over the protesters, accusing them of being "white supremacists" and supporters of former President Donald Trump.
