German govt to grant vaccinated freedom from lockdown restrictions, plus a news round-up from locked down Europe

vaccine

Mobile vaccination stations are being used to administer jabs in Cologne
People who have been fully vaccinated against Covid-19 will no longer have to abide by curfews and contact restrictions in Germany under a draft law agreed by the cabinet on Tuesday.

The law, which would also apply to people who have recovered from Covid-19, must still be signed off by parliament but could come into force as early as this week, Justice Minister Christine Lambrecht said.

There must be a "good reason" for any restrictions on public life, Lambrecht said.

Comment: There never was a 'good reason' for lockdowns; if there was, the German government wouldn't have had to snatch power from the regional authorities in order to force them to comply with lockdowns.

Iranian police arrested 16 men and women at a mixed-gender party in the northeastern province of Khorasan Razavi, the semi-official Tasnim news agency reported on Tuesday.

Such parties are illegal under Iranian law. Drinking alcohol in is also illegal and Muslim men and women who are not related cannot mingle or dance together in public.

The Tasnim report quotes a local prosecutor, Khalilollah Barzanuni, as saying that the 16 were detained while they were dancing at a party in a villa in Golbahar, a neighborhood in the city of Golmakan.

An Iraqi F-16 Fighting Falcon fighter aircraft, assigned to the 9th Fighter Squadron, takes off prior to performing a Close Air Support Mission at Balad Air Base, Iraq, on June 17, 2019.
Four Katyusha rockets hit an Iraqi military base that houses U.S. contractors Monday without causing any casualties, Iraq's military said in a statement.

The rockets hit Balad air base in northern Iraq at 8 p.m. local time, the statement said. Security forces launched a large-scale security operation to search for whoever launched the strike.

The incident was the latest in a string of attacks in recent weeks in Iraq that have targeted mostly installations that house Americans.

UK gov allows people to 'change legal gender' for just £5

LGBT

Many LGBT campaigners believe the current system is not fit for purpose
From today, the cost of changing one's legal gender comes down from £140 to £5 to make it easier for transgender people to afford.

Comment: That's significantly cheaper than renewing a passport.

The reduction, allied to taking the process online, follows a promise to make applying for a gender recognition certificate "kinder and more straightforward", made by Equalities Minister Liz Truss in September.

Comment: It's not necessarily either. It has made this supposedly life changing decision cheaper and easier; and that's not necessarily a good thing: Scottish police recording male rape suspects as female if they say they're female, FOIA reveals

Announcing the new fee, Ms Truss said: "As we build back better, we want transgender people to be free to live and to prosper in modern Britain.

The truth about COVID-19

Bulletproof Radio with Dave Asprey
I was recently featured on Bulletproof Radio with Dave Asprey, a Silicon Valley entrepreneur, founder and CEO of bulletproof.com. I've interviewed Dave about fasting and the role ketones play in COVID-19, but this time we talked about my book, "The Truth About COVID-19," which was released April 29, 2021.

Amazon preordered 100,000 copies of the book, which signals just how popular this information is. Unfortunately, because the book has been so popular and due to printing delays, hard cover versions will not be available until the end of May. However, the Kindle version is now available.

It doesn't take much digging to realize that most of what you see on mainstream media and social media — including Google, Twitter, Facebook and YouTube — is being cleverly manipulated with sophisticated propaganda derived from decades of data stolen from you and the rest of the population by Google.

If you rely only on these mainstream media, you will only hear the official propaganda narrative about the pandemic, because everything else has been censored — everything, 100%. In our interview, you can hear a few of the best tips to not only stay healthy, but to learn the truth about what appears to be a very dark agenda. One of the biggest motivating catalysts behind this engineered pandemic is this transfer of wealth from most everyone to a global tyranny.

In the long term, the goal is to convert us into digital assets that can be controlled and manipulated. It appears their intent is to put us in a virtual world that essentially makes us digital assets that can be traded. Decentralized options are the solution, which is why we need to develop decentralized censorship-resistant internet and social media platforms.

Cuomo says to get vaxxed so you don't kill Granny, ironic coming from him!

Governor of New York Andrew Cuomo
Now he cares about the elderly catching COVID-19.

Gov. Andrew Cuomo — whose administration infamously ordered the state's nursing homes to accept coronavirus-stricken patients at the height of the pandemic last year — tried to guilt young people Monday into getting vaccinated by warning they could kill their grandparents if they don't. The governor said at a press briefing, referring to young people:
"There is an attitude that they'll be fine, why should they take the vaccine? My argument is, yeah, maybe you'll be fine, and by the way, you don't know that either. Maybe you will get a long-haul syndrome that we're not really be sure what it is yet but a lingering consequence of COVID. Or maybe you'll go home and kiss your grandmother and wind up killing your grandmother. So show some civic responsibility."
His comments come just over a year after the state Health Department's controversial edict that sent nursing home residents who tested positive for the virus back to the facilities — even though the elderly are among the most vulnerable to COVID-19.

"We were never terrorists': Proud Boys Canada dissolves itself, denies white supremacy beliefs

Targeting the Canadian chapter of the Proud Boys with anti-terror legislation has led to the group's apparent demise, but a leading expert says it might have little effect on the broader far-right movement.

The development could simply harden the resolve of former members, prompt them to join other groups or spawn an increase in individual online activity, said Barbara Perry, director of the Centre on Hate, Bias and Extremism at Ontario Tech University.

Proud Boys Canada announced Sunday it was dissolving after the Liberal government listed it as a terrorist organization following the January assault on Capitol Hill in Washington.

Being on the list means the group's assets and property are effectively frozen and subject to seizure or forfeiture.

Twenty three people including minors died and around 79 were injured after a portion of an overpass carrying a metro train collapsed on a busy road in a southern suburb of Mexico City on Monday night.

The number of fatalities in the rail overpass disaster has climbed to 23, Mexico City Mayor Claudia Sheinbaum said, adding that some minors were among those killed. The city's civil protection agency reported that around 79 were injured.

A short CCTV video published by Milenio TV channel shows a section of an overpass suddenly collapsing on a road packed with vehicles.

"In Russia, residents demolished a bust of Stalin donated to the Communist Party of the Russian Federation: "We were disgraced to the whole world.""
A bust honoring Soviet leader Joseph Stalin was taken down a few days after its instalment in a southern Russian city sparked backlash on social media. Local communists vowed to bring it back as soon as possible.

The golden-colored bust was erected on April 29 in Dagestanskiye Ogni, a city of 30,000 in the multiethnic Dagestan region in Russia's northern Caucasus. The small monument stood near a bus stop on a rural street that bears Stalin's name.

The memorial to the controversial Soviet leader was erected at the behest of the local chapter of Russia's Communist Party. Party official Ruslan Lugovoy told local media the bust was going to be officially unveiled on May 8, a day before Russia celebrates its victory over Nazi Germany and her allies during WWII. Stalin had led the Soviet war effort as commander-in-chief.

Court rules worker virtually 'enslaved' by manager of SC restaurant awarded $546,000 for wages, overtime and delays

A former Conway restaurant manager serving a 10-year prison sentence for forcing a man with intellectual disabilities to work more than 100 hours a week without pay owes the former employee double the amount in restitution — $546,000, a court ruled.

Bobby Paul Edwards was ordered to pay John Christopher Smith $273,000 in back pay as part of the sentencing in pleading guilty to a forced labor charge in 2019.

But the 4th Circuit Court of Appeals ruled this month that Smith should get the extra money because of federal labor rules that entitle him to double the pay and overtime he was owed. The final decision about how much to pay Smith was sent back to the district court.
