Four scapegoats stand trial for using UK convoys in Syria to aid terrorism

Four men accused of using aid convoys bound for Syria to transport 'items for terrorists' are standing trial at the Old Bailey in London. Syed Hoque, 37, of Stoke-on-Trent, allegedly sent £4,500, to his nephew who was fighting the government of Bashar Assad.

Hoque is also accused of making "other property" available between December 1, 2012, and May 31, 2014, along with three other men: Mashoud Miah, 27, of east London; Mohammed Hussain, 30, of east London; and Pervez Rafiq, 46, of Birkby, Huddersfield. All four men have denied the charges, and Hoque has also refuted two additional counts of funding terrorism.

Prosecutor Annabel Darlow QC said: "The defendants made use, or so it would appear, of aid convoys as a means of moving money and other property out of the UK to Syria." Darlow added that the prosecution was not suggesting the convoys did not have a legitimate charitable purpose.

The anti-Trump protesters must be honest with themselves about the true intentions of their protest. And here's why.

The protests against Donald Trump that happened directly after his election victory appear to be petering out. They were never very large, and were always going to end given the indisputable fact - which the protests can't change - that Donald Trump is going to be the next President of the United States.

The protests have, however, attracted a great deal of attention and in view of that, and because I know of some people who have taken part in them, I feel that I should offer my views of them.

Firstly, people have a right to protest provided they do so in a lawful and peaceful way.

Secondly, whilst they have a right to protest against Donald Trump, they need to be clear what they are protesting against. If by protesting they are trying to stop Donald Trump from becoming President of the United States, then since Trump has been elected legally and constitutionally, they are taking a revolutionary position.

Lawyers for Assange will likely appeal to Trump to close rape investigation

Lawyers for WikiLeaks have announced that they may appeal to US president-elect Donald Trump to close the investigation into publisher Julian Assange.

Lawyers for Assange say that they are hopeful that Swedish prosecutors will also close the rape case against him after concluding their questioning of him in London on Tuesday. His lawyers argued that the Swedish prosecutors have made procedural mistakes in the investigation into their client.

"The interview with Julian Assange at the Ecuadorian Embassy in London has ended. The results of the interview will later be reported from Ecuador to the Swedish prosecutors in a written statement. After this report, the prosecutors will take a view on the continuation of the investigation," a statement from the Swedish Prosecution Authority read.

Ohio attorney jailed for sexually assaulting clients under hypnosis

An Ohio attorney who induced clients into a hypnotic trance before sexually assaulting them has been jailed for 12 years. Prosecutors in Lorain County said 59-year-old Michael Fine had, under the guise of providing legal assistance, carried out a spate of attacks on women for his own sexual pleasure by using hypnosis on his victims.

The father-of-two's crimes were exposed only when a client became suspicious and began recording her conversations with Fine. The extent of his manipulation later became apparent when one of his victims secretly videoed a meeting at his office as part of a police sting, reports NBC4I news. The attorney was sentenced to 12 years in prison at a Lorain County court on Monday, two months after he plead guilty to sexually-motivated kidnapping and attempted kidnapping, report The Chronicle Telegram.

Judge Patricia A. Cosgrove said Fine had used relaxation techniques to hypnotize, abuse people and "take their dignity." Prior to sentencing, Fine said he had "remorse and grief in my heart."

Spring Hill, TN — A man who swore an oath to uphold the constitution, and whose ostensible job description is to protect the public he serves, has been charged with sexual assault while on duty — for the second time — in just two months.

According to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, Spring Hill Police Officer Christopher Odom was caught raping at least two women in two separate incidents during on-duty traffic stops in June and July. Only two months after he was charged with sexual battery in those instances, Odom was charged again for another incident last September.

In September of last year, according to TBI, Odom stopped an adult female, followed her home on the Williamson County side of Spring Hill, and made her engage in sexual contact with him while he was on duty.

As the Free Thought Project reported last month, the TBI say they launched their investigation on August 1 after they learned Odom pulled over a car driven by a female in June and raped her.

According to a press release, the TBI says it happened again with another female in July. The September assault was apparently discovered while the investigation into the June and July assaults was ongoing.

A video of president-elect Donald Trump's 5-year-old granddaughter reciting poetry in Chinese has gone viral. Trump's daughter, Ivanka, first shared the video of her daughter, Arabella Kushner, on Instagram in February, but it has since resurfaced on Chinese social media in the wake of Trump winning the US presidential election.

Kushner has been studying Chinese since she was 18 months old. The video was made to celebrate Chinese New Year, with Kushner wearing traditional Chinese dress and surrounded by Chinese decorations as she recited poetry from the Tang Dynasty. "Arabella wanted to have a pre-bedtime #ChineseNewYear party this past Sunday evening," Ivanka wrote. "She got all dressed up and performed songs and poems for Jared, Joseph and me."

Many sharing the video in China said they were "shocked" to learn Trump's granddaughter could speak Mandarin.

"At least the video shows that Trump places importance on education and did not shut the door on foreign culture," one Weibo user said.

"In order to figure out whether Chinese people are secretly insulting him, he actually urged his granddaughter to learn Chinese!" another joked.

"Looks like Trump realizes the future belongs to China, so it's not impossible for her granddaughter to immigrate to China in the future," said another.

Ivanka Trump previously shared a video of then-2-year-old Kushner practicing her Chinese.

Legendary musician and songwriter Neil Young celebrated his 71st birthday on Saturday in the most fitting way possible — by performing for the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe and other water protectors camped to oppose the Dakota Access Pipeline.

"Got my birthday wish today, my girl took me to #StandWithStandingRock," Young wrote in a Facebook post, referring to his girlfriend, actress and activist Daryl Hannah. Both posted footage of the informal concert to draw attention to the struggle against the insidious pipeline and continued exploitation of Native Americans and Indigenous peoples.

Rather than setting up a formal stage, Young meandered through the gathered crowds, playing guitar, and singing "Indian Giver" in political solidarity — a welcome sight at the still-growing encampments near the banks of the Missouri River, considering reports suggest a crucial decision by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers could come any day now.

At the center of the dispute sits a permit by the Corps which would grant Energy Transfer Partners the green light to drill under the Lake Oahe reservoir portion of the Missouri. Lake Oahe and the river supply drinking water to the Standing Rock Sioux Reservation and no less than 18 million people downstream.

Comment: It's coming down to the wire for Dakota Access and the Standing Rock Sioux. What matters more - Big business, profit and greed? Or, would it be the exclusive land rights of one of our indigenous Sovereign Nations and water protection for the tribe and 18M others affected by this decision. If it comes to pass that USACE is allowed to drill, and it likely will, this will be just one more sell-out of the people to add to the plunder, and one more reason to detest the PTB in the USA.

Whistleblower Julian Assange says he "cooperated fully" with Swedish investigators during a seven-hour interview inside the Ecuadorian embassy concerning rape charges from 2010. Assange's legal team also accused the investigators of "procedural irregularities."

"Today, after six years of offering his statement to the Swedish authorities, Julian Assange has finally been given the opportunity to do so," said a statement released by the WikiLeaks founder Monday evening. "Sweden's failure to progress the preliminary investigation until now has resulted in a gross breach of Mr Assange's right to be presumed innocent, and has fatally harmed his ability to meaningfully defend himself."

Assange's team complained that his Swedish counsel, Per Samuelson, "was not notified or summoned" for the start of the interview, despite being in London specifically for that very purpose, and that despite "concerns" the authorities "proceeded anyway."

"The clear breach of process did not stop Mr Assange from cooperating fully," said his statement. "Mr Assange felt compelled to participate even with these problems."

Swedish Chief Prosecutor Ingrid Isgren has arrived at Ecuador's London embassy to question WikiLeaks editor Julian Assange, following a prolonged deadlock in an alleged rape case opened in Sweden more than six years ago.

Assange has been residing in the Ecuadorian Embassy in London since claiming political asylum back in 2012, when Sweden issued a European arrest warrant for him. An Ecuadorean prosecutor is interviewing Assange, asking questions the Swedish side had submitted previously. The interview is attended by Sweden's chief prosecutor Ingred Isgren. Swedish police inspector Cecilia Redell is also reportedly to be present. Both are allowed to ask for clarifications to Assange's responses, but not put any fresh questions forward.

Assange's answers will be transcribed and sent to the Swedish authorities for processing. If he consents to it, a DNA sample will also be taken from him.

Assange's lawyer Per Samuelsson said the questioning could last for several days, adding that it was too early to say what the meeting will bring about and what information revealed by Assange would be made public, AFP reported.

Ecuador's foreign minister Guillaume Long told the Press Association that he was "pleased" with the perspective of the interview at last.

"This is something that Ecuador has been inviting the Swedish prosecutors to do ever since we granted asylum to Mr. Assange in 2012.

"What we have asked from Sweden and the UK are guarantees that Mr. Assange will not be extradited to a third country where he could be persecuted for his work as a journalist," Long said.

Throughout the years, Assange has not been charged with any offence under Swedish law but was sought for questioning over complaints of sexual assault by two women in 2010. He has been sought for questioning on allegations of four counts of sexual misconduct, which he repeatedly denied and three of which have now expired under Sweden's Statute of Limitations. Technically free to leave the embassy, the WikiLeaks founder, however, decided to stay, repeatedly raising concerns over Swedish demands that he be questioned in person, as he feared the prosecutors in fact want to extradite him to the United States.

There he faces questioning and potentially charges over his whistleblowing activities, as the FBI is investigating him for 'espionage.' The investigation revolves around the Iraq War leaks, sent to WikiLeaks by former US Army Private Chelsea Manning. She is currently serving a 35-year jail sentence for the leaks. With current US President Barack Obama reluctant to clear Assange, his supporters have turned to President-elect Donald Trump with a petition requesting him to pardon the whistleblowers.

Political activist and artist Clark Stoeckly told RT it would be wise for the incoming president to let Assange off the hook as it would draw liberals to Trump's side.

"Julian is due to have some freedom so that he can continue to do the work he sought to do. If Obama doesn't make the decision to pardon Manning, Assange, and Snowden, he continues to live with this legacy of being the president who started a war on whistleblowers. It's going to be in Trump's hands to take that prize and fight for truth. And I think it would certainly change the way the liberals and those on the left view Trump," Stoeckly said.

Just weeks ago the warning was accelerated to Level 3 following increased tensions between US and Russia, with insiders fearing the West was creeping closer to nuclear war.

Level 3 means US troops could be mobilised in as little as 15 minutes.

But the group, made up of experts claiming to have contacts within the US security industry, have seen Donald Trump's election win as a pacifier for Russian relations.

In a story from November 12, USA Today writes an article to discredit the idea that the professional activist community is involved with organizing anti-Trump protests. They invite you to meet the protesters. USA today presents them as ordinary people. However, WikiLeaks exposes them as experienced protest organizers and activists.

USA Today presents the protests as spontaneous, involving people from "all walks of life" - certainly not professional protesters. If anyone in the crowd has protest experience, it hasn't been since the Vietnam Era:
They come in all ages and walks of life, unflinching and determined to be heard.

Mothers with young children, hoping to impart an up-close lesson in history. Animated college students stretching their political vocal cords for the first time. Aging Baby Boomers who haven't toted a protest sign since their anti-war days in the 1970s.
Ben Wikler, Washington director for the professional activist group MoveOn, is quoted - only to insist that these are not organized protests but an "enormous outpouring of spontaneous energy and concern."
MoveOn urged Americans to gather peacefully to "take a continued stand against misogyny, racism, Islamophobia and xenophobia." Within hours, about 275 protests and vigils had been organized nationwide Wednesday, Wikler said. "There was an enormous outpouring of spontaneous energy and concern."

Comment: The color revolution chicken has finally come home to roost. If these thousands of anti-Trump protesters had been keeping up with real news and fact-based objective information about manufactured color revolutions around the world (and all that it entails) - including how Killary has been in support of them - they would most likely not be so easily led by the nose to be doing what they are doing now; having realized that this bogus movement is another elite-run, elite conceived idea created to further subjugate them.
