University of Pennsylvania students were left horrified after being added to a group called "N*gger lynching" on mobile messaging app GroupMe.

Officials from the university later said the account was started by students in Oklahoma.

Calvary Rogers, who is a research assistant at the University of Pennsylvania said "every single black freshmen" were added to the group.

"I stared an administrator in the eye and literally lost it," Rogers wrote in a Facebook post. "And quite honestly I just can't stop crying. I feel sick to my stomach. I don't feel safe."

Screenshots captured by BillyPenn.com showed shocking messages from students where people were referred to as "coons" and "stupid n*igger." Another message said, "Never be a n*gger in SAE," in reference to the Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity.

NYC, 1991: Donald Trump thwarts baseball bat-wielding mugger

trump mugger story
Donald Trump apparently stopped a mugging in 1991, according to an old New York Daily News article at the time.

The original article, "Mugger's Trumped: Donald stops attack," written by Daily News staff writer James Rosen, is still on Philly.com, but with the title, "Trump Strikes Out Would-be Mugger."

"I'm not looking to play this thing up," Trump said in the Nov. 20, 1991, report. "I'm surprised you found out about it."

In the incident, Trump ordered his driver to pull over after he saw "a big guy with a big bat" bashing another person.

An old copy of the article went viral on Reddit's The Donald Subreddit on Wednesday.

Comment: Does this make Trump a saint? No, but its a stark contrast to cackling at the vicious murder of Qaddafi like someone we know. Now, if only Trump's policies would reflect standing up for the downtrodden...

Trump, the progressive? Prez-elect proposed a very liberal student loan repayment plan

Trump

Donald Trump is promising the most liberal student loan repayment plan since the inception of the federal financial aid program, in a clear effort to court the millions of Americans struggling with the high cost of college.

"We would cap repayment for an affordable portion of the borrower's income, 12.5 percent, we'd cap it. That gives you a lot to play with and a lot to do," Trump said at a rally in Columbus, Ohio, on Thursday. "And if borrowers work hard and make their full payments for 15 years, we'll let them get on with their lives. They just go ahead and they get on with their lives."

The terms proposed by the Republican nominee are more generous than all of the existing government programs that let borrowers cap their monthly student loan payments to a percentage of their earnings. Even the latest income-driven plan, known as Revised Pay as You Earn (REPAYE), forgives remaining debt after 20 years of payment, though it caps borrowers' monthly bills to 10 percent of their income.

"Students should not be asked to pay more on the debt than they can afford," Trump said. "And the debt should not be an albatross around their necks for the rest of their lives."

Comment: Will Trump actually enact these changes or is it just talk? We'll see.

Russell Brand on the inevitability of a Trump presidency

russell brand trump
Comedian, actor, and activist Russell Brand explains why a Donald Trump presidency was inevitable.

After taking a break from discussing politics on his show True News, Russell Brand returned just in time to comment on the fact that Donald Trump won the 2016 U.S. Presidential election. Rather than bash the President-elect and some of the hateful statements he's made in the past, Brand listed reasons why why many likely voted for the business tycoon.

It comes down to this: people are demanding change - and while they definitely would have received it with Democratic Socialist Bernie Sanders, he was screwed out of a nomination by the Democratic National Committee (DNC). In result, the best option for people who are disillusioned by the system had was to elect Donald Trump, who is anything but conventional. Trump, unlike Hillary Clinton, is not owned by corporate establishments and cannot be bought. In addition, a continued regime of the Obama Administration with Hillary Clinton would have undoubtedly led to more war in the Middle East.

In the video below, Brand explains why a Trump presidency was inevitable, and what this means going forward:

Cops body slam, beat & make racist comments to black elementary school teacher — won't face charges

cops body slam teacher
Pulled over for driving 15 mph over the speed limit, an elementary school teacher was recorded on police dash cam video being slammed to the ground twice by an overly aggressive cop. After the woman was placed in the back of a patrol car, two separate videos caught the arresting officer making false statements regarding the arrest and another officer making racist comments to the restrained teacher. In spite of the glaring evidence against him, the officer responsible for the brutality, Brian Richter, will not face charges.

On Thursday, a grand jury did not indict him. The grand jury heard 13 hours of testimony from eight different witnesses over a three-week period before returning the irresponsible decision.

At 12:30 p.m. on June 15, 2015, Austin Police Officer Bryan Richter pulled over 26-year-old Breaion King for driving 15 mph over the speed limit. According to Richter's dash cam video, the officer immediately ordered King to step back inside her car before informing the teacher that she had been stopped for speeding.

Over a million women are expected to march in Washington D.C. to "take a stand" for women's rights, a day after Donald Trump is sworn into office, organizers say.

Scheduled to take place on Saturday January 21, the day after Trump's inauguration, the march has been spurred by the president-elect's attitude towards women, including a series of degrading comments made about women in the past, said Bob Bland, one of the New York organizers.

The "Women's March on Washington," has already attracted more than 40,000 people within 24 hours of it being announced, according to the group's Facebook page.

Father goes off on cops after they respond to wrong home and kill the family dog

Pit Bull shot by police
Kenny Bailey had committed no crime and had done nothing wrong when multiple Knox County Sheriff's deputies walked onto his private property and killed one of his three dogs.

The dogs were not on a leash, however, they all had on shock collars which would not allow them to go past a certain perimeter. The officers somehow managed to miss the 14, yes, 14 highly visible signs on Bailey's property — warning visitors about his dogs.

Police say they were responding to a 911 hang up call in the 10000 block of Thorngrove Pike near Bailey's home. However, Bailey's family did not make the call and police trespassed and killed his dog for no reason.

"They panicked and they know they panicked and they shot an innocent dog and I'm mad," Bailey said.
