Protest grows even bigger after Macron vows to 'piss off' the unvaxxed

Protests against Covid-19 vaccine passes in Paris, France, Jan. 8, 2022.
At least 100,000 people took to the streets of France in protest against Covid-19 restrictions and mandates, after President Macron promised to make the lives of the unvaccinated increasingly hard until they accept the jab.

The huge crowds on Saturday were roughly four times larger than back on December 18, according to police estimates. The protesters opposed, among other things, a nearly implemented government plan to make proof of vaccination against Covid-19 mandatory to use public transport, eat at restaurants, and attend events.

France's National Assembly passed a bill this week which, if approved by the Senate, would introduce so-called 'vaccine passes' to replace the existing 'health passes'. Under the current rules, a negative PCR or antigen test gives access to a pass that is valid for 24 hours. A vaccine pass, however, would only be issued to those who have been fully vaccinated. People who were infected with Covid-19 would have to receive a booster shot three to four months after contracting the virus in order to get a vaccine pass, Health Minister Olivier Veran said. In the meantime, they could use their recovery certificates.

Comment: That "small minority" Macron is trying to "piss off" is not so small after all....

The demonstrators in Nantes sing "Macron on t'emmerde" (Macron piss off):

Huge demonstration in Toulon:

The Yellow vests demonstration in Paris is substantial too:

In Paris again "Les patriotes" have gathered more people than July 17 (historical record):

In Marseilles, a huge crowd despite the police preventing access to the demonstration:

Hating on Novak has become a national sport

Novak Djokovic
The whole country is hating on Novak Djokovic right now because he had the courage to do what most of us did not - stand up for himself.

Novak's principled stance has only served to highlight the fact that millions of Australians have allowed themselves to be abused for the past two years. And no one wants to admit that.

It is far easier to demonise a Serbian millionaire who took a stand than it is to agree that we have been bullied into submission by politicians and health bureaucrats.

How else to explain the unhinged reaction to the world Number One tennis player being allowed to defend his Australian Open title? And how else to understand the glee with which his subsequent visa rejection was greeted?

When news broke earlier this week that Novak was going to be allowed to play in Australia, a Victorian journalist tweeted: 'If we still have crowds at the Australian Open by the time it starts, it's the duty of every Australian to boo Novak relentlessly between sets. Shit is absolutely f***ed.'

California Governor Gavin Newsom deploys National Guard to help with COVID-19 testing

Governor Gavin Newsom announces California Natl. Guard to participate in COVID testing.
California Gov. Gavin Newsom on Friday said he activated the state's National Guard to help expand COVID-19 testing capacity amid a surge in cases fueled by the Omicron variant.

The guardsmen will assist with the increased demand for tests California has experienced over the last month, forcing it to expand hours at the 6,000 state-operated testing facilities, officials said. Newsom's office said 200 troops will be deployed across 50 sites around the Golden State, helping fill holes in staffing needs. This will allow sites to increase their capacity for walk-in appointments and will help with crowd control, the governor said. Currently, 90 percent of Californians live within a 30-minute drive of a site, where most have been able to get PCR test results within 48 hours.

More guardsmen will be deployed next week to assist in similar capacities, Newsom's office said.

Watershed moment in NYC: New law allows noncitizens to vote

New York Mayor Eric Adams
More than 800,000 noncitizens and so-called "Dreamers" in New York City will have access to the ballot box — and could vote in municipal elections as early as next year — after Mayor Eric Adams allowed legislation approved by the City Council a month ago to automatically become law on Sunday. Opponents have vowed to challenge the new law.

Unless a judge halts its implementation, New York City is now the most populous city in the United States to grant voting rights to noncitizens. More than a dozen communities across the U.S. already allow noncitizens to cast ballots in local elections, including 11 towns in Maryland and two in Vermont.

The Board of Elections must now begin drawing an implementation plan by July, including voter registration rules and provisions that would create separate ballots for municipal races to prevent noncitizens from casting ballots in federal and state contests.

It's a watershed moment for a city where legally documented, voting-age noncitizens comprise nearly one in nine of the city's 7 million voting-age inhabitants. The movement to win voting rights for noncitizens prevailed after numerous setbacks.

The arrest of Garrett James Smith
A man in black bloc behaving suspiciously near a right-wing rally outside the Pinellas County Courthouse in Florida on Jan. 6 was apprehended by deputies after he tried fleeing on foot. Garrett James Smith, 22, was arrested and found carrying an active pipe bomb, Antifa propaganda and a written document on what to bring for his direct action. He had recently returned from Portland, Ore.

"He was running fast, he was running away from something," Pinellas County Sheriff Bob Gualtieri said at a press conference on Friday.

U-Haul reports people fleeing California and Illinois for Texas and Florida

u haul moving california shortage
U-Haul's annual report for 2021 showed people are heading to Texas and Florida more than any other state while leaving California and Illinois.

The report is indicative of migration trends across the United States and Canada. With more than 23,000 rental locations that use about 176,000 trucks, 126,000 trailers, and 46,000 towing devices, U-Haul said it ran out of inventory in California.

The report showed that of the more than 2 million one-way rental transactions, the Lone Star State earned the top spot for growth.

Comment: Left completely out of the discussion is the fact that relocators are moving from the most restrictive Covid states to the least. Florida is probably the only state where one can live, 'as before', with Texas not far behind.

Clown world: Female trans UPenn swimmer Lia Thomas is CRUSHED by male trans competitor Iszac Henig

(L)Yale University swimmer Iszac Henig was victorious at the women’s 100- and 400-yard freestyle races.
(R) University of Pennsylvania’s Lia Thomas had caused controversy for shattering multiple records at women’s swim meets and wiping out opponents.
Transgender University of Pennsylvania swimmer Lia Thomas was crushed twice in a women's swim meet by another transgender competitor who is transitioning from female to male - first in the 100-yard freestyle, where she placed fifth, and then again in the 400-yard freestyle relay.

Competing against Ivy League rivals Dartmouth and Yale, Thomas won the first of her four races by just two seconds - one month after she shattered two women's records with a 38-second margin against her closest competitor. She also narrowly won the 500-yard freestyle by a second, with bystanders telling DailyMail.com that she seemed to be 'coasting' and 'barely trying'.

But stunned parents at the meet held at UPenn's pool in Philadelphia gasped as Yale swimmer Iszac Henig easily beat out his opponents in the women's 100-yard freestyle with a time of 49.57 seconds. Thomas finished fifth with a time of 52.84 seconds.

An NHS doctor has challenged Sajid Javid over compulsory vaccines for healthcare workers, telling the health secretary: "I've not had a vaccination; I don't want to have a vaccination."

The scene, which was caught by Sky News cameras, was first broadcast on Friday after Javid visited King's College hospital in south London. It has been shared extensively on social media by both critics and supporters of vaccine mandates.

Comment: Dr. Steve James has posted a video update on Instagram which was then shared on Twitter:

Ikea slashes sick pay for unvaccinated staff to lowest amount allowed by law

Furniture giant Ikea has slashed sick pay entitlement for some unvaccinated staff forced to self-isolate after close contact with someone infected with Covid, The Mail on Sunday can reveal.

The move means unvaccinated workers, who are required by the Government to isolate for 10 days after close contact, could receive as little as £96.35 a week under Statutory Sick Pay (SSP) obligations, a legal minimum.

That compares with the average pay for Ikea shopfloor staff of £10.10 an hour outside London and £11.30 in the capital - the equivalent of £404 and £452 for an average working week.

Comment: This is yet another route to which the government, in league with corporations - also known as fascism - is working to coerce as many people as possible into suffering the experimental jabs; or, as France's Macron put it: "When it comes to the non-vaccinated, I'm very keen to pi** them off. So we're going to do it, the end. That's our strategy.": Also check out SOTT radio's: NewsReal: NAZI Redux - Covid Camps in Australia, Mandatory Vaccinations in EU

England's farmers to be paid to 'rewild' land, despite soaring food costs & supply issues

Farmers in areas such as Dartmoor in Devon, where there is a significant rewilding campaign, will be invited to bid for 10-15 pilot projects.
Farmers in England will be given taxpayers' cash to rewild their land, under plans for large-scale nature recovery projects announced by the government. These will lead to vast tracts of land being newly managed to conserve species, provide habitats for wildlife and restore health to rivers and streams.

Bids are being invited for 10-15 pilot projects, each covering at least 500 hectares and up to 5,000 hectares, to a total of approximately 10,000 hectares in the first two-year phase - about 10 times the size of Richmond Park in London. These pilots could involve full rewilding or other forms of management that focus on species recovery and wildlife habitats.

Rare fauna such as sand lizards, water voles and curlews will be targeted, with the aim of improving the status of about half of the most threatened species in England.

Comment: In general, few disagree that a balance between human thriving and the protection of the natural world needs to be sought, but it's becoming apparent that the vast majority of humanity is going to be thrown into abject poverty so that the establishment can achieve its, ostensibly, environmentalist goals: Also check out SOTT radio's: NewsReal: Is The Government Hyping Shortages?
