The plan, announced by the Moscow Patriarchate on Wednesday, revealed that the Church does not want to ban abortions completely, but instead proposes that the government stop funding them.

UNICEF said in a statement the doses were donated by the U.S. and delivered Wednesday through COVAX, an initiative for the equitable distribution of COVID-19 vaccines.
"Until yesterday, Haiti was the only country in the Americas without a single dose of a COVID-19 vaccine," UNICEF said in a statement Thursday.
"Thanks to this donation, hundreds of thousands of Haitians will receive their shots against COVID-19," UNICEF said. "Yet, despite the collective efforts to kickstart the vaccination campaign soon, most of the Haitian population is at risk of remaining unvaccinated due to the limited availability of doses currently in the country."
In an exclusive interview with VOA, U.S. National Security Council member Juan Gonzalez said the decision to speed up vaccine delivery came after a U.S. delegation visited Port-au-Prince on Sunday.

"TSA exempts private, non-commercial flights from the mask requirement," state Representative Donna Howard said on Thursday in a Twitter post. The lawmakers "had been meeting at the Capitol without masks for several months, and we continued that practice, as we had been fully vaccinated."
Howard and her colleagues have been criticized for jetting to Washington sans masks when they fled Texas earlier this month to block votes on Republican-backed bills they couldn't defeat. Six of the Democrats, including Howard, have since caught Covid-19, and White House and congressional staffers tested positive after attending events with the group, including meetings with Vice President Kamala Harris, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, and other party leaders.
In a report titled Provisional death counts and excess mortality, the government agency reviewed the number of deaths between January 2020 to April 2021 and concluded that 5,535 Canadians under the age of 65 died because of "indirect consequences" due to the pandemic.
Over the same time period, 1380 Canadians in the same age group died because of COVID-19 itself.
"Beyond deaths attributed to the disease itself, the pandemic could also have indirect consequences leading to an increase or decrease in the number of deaths due to various factors, including delayed medical procedures, increased substance use, or a decline in deaths attributable to other causes, such as influenza," the report says.
The piece is framed as this big exposé on right-wing domestic terrorism culminating in the plot to kidnap the Governor of Michigan.
The only problem? Yeah, it looks like it might have been a setup from the start.
Here is the important conclusion from the Buzzfeed story that, for some reason, they don't see as a very important issue.

GRBS is a rare neurological disorder caused by the body's immune system damaging nerve cells, causing paralysis in the most severely affected cases. Most people afflicted by the illness fully recover from it.
The EMA said on Thursday that its safety committee, the Pharmacovigilance Risk Assessment Committee (PRAC), established from the evidence provided and cases reported to date that there is a causal relationship between the Janssen Covid vaccine and GBS, although it is a very rare side effect.

The British Meat Processors' Association (BMPA) said the shortage of skills was so critical, some plants had reported vacancies of 10% to 16% of permanent positions, discounting the impact of the pandemic. BMPA CEO Nick Allen said:
"On top of the underlying worker shortage, we're also hearing from some members that between 5% and 10% of their workforce have been 'pinged' by the (health service) app and asked to self-isolate."The shortage of workers affected the meat products that require more labour to produce, he said, meaning those lines would be the first to be cut.
On Monday, England's car plants, railways, supermarkets and pubs warned the government that the COVID-19 tracing app, which has told hundreds of thousands of workers to isolate, was wrecking the recovery and pushing supply chains to the brink of collapse.
Alerts, or "pings", from the official app telling anyone identified as a contact of someone with the disease to self-isolate for 10 days have also disrupted schools and the healthcare system.

Websites of Delta Air Lines, Costco Wholesale Corp, American Express and Home Depot were down, displaying domain name system (DNS) service errors.
Cloud services provider Akamai Technologies had given an alert on its "Edge DNS" service incident, noting a "partial outage" on its website. "We have implemented a fix for this issue, and based on current observations, the service is resuming normal operations," it said later in a tweet.
Oracle Corp said it was monitoring the global issue related to a cloud-based DNS solution provider impacting access to many internet resources, including its own cloud services.
DNS is a service that translates readable domain names to machine readable IP addresses, connecting it to a server and delivering the requested page on the user's phone or laptop.
Comment: Additional information determined the outage was linked to Akamai:
The disruption lasted up to an hour and was caused by a bug in the domain name system (DNS) service, which allows web addresses to take users to their destinations, that was triggered during a software update, Akamai said.
Services resumed after rolling back the update, Akamai added, and confirmed the disruption was not due to a cyberattack. "We are reviewing our software update process to prevent future disruptions."
Thousands of users reported issues with websites of Airbnb, Home Depot, Expedia and Charles Schwab.
Downdetector, which tracks outages by collating status reports from a series of sources, said users reported issues with 48 services, mostly within the United States.
