The Cyprus government on Thursday condemned a deadly airstrike on a Syrian village by the U.S. troops based in Iraq, which triggered big anti-American demonstrations in capital Damascus.

Israeli media reported that the IOF command acknowledged that one of its officers caused the death of a Palestinian preterm baby at the Hawara checkpoint near Nablus city, adding that the military court decided to send the officer to jail for only 28 days and transfer him to another military post.
