Firefighters were called to a property owned by Bill and Hillary Clinton Wednesday afternoon after a blaze broke out in one of the bedrooms.

The fire reportedly started at the couple's Chappaqua residence sometime before 3pm local time. It was said to have been extinguished quickly. There was no indication as to what may have caused the fire or whether either of the Clintons were home at the time.

An ambulance was called to the scene but reportedly left without anyone inside. The house, which the couple purchased in 1999 when Bill Clinton was still US president, boasts five bedrooms and a pool on its 1.1-acre plot. In 2016, Hillary Clinton bought the property next door for a reported $1.16 million. Chappaqua is in Westchester County in upstate New York, around 40 miles from Manhattan.

A FBI Agent in the Los Angeles Field Office has been accused of allegedly drugging and sexually assaulting a female FBI colleague, federal law enforcement sources confirm.

The FBI agent is male.

"(FBI) Director (Christopher) Wray had the agent walked out of the building in LA," one FBI source said.

The victim also works for the FBI's Los Angeles field office but is not a special agent, sources said. According to sources, the woman alleges the FBI agent put some type of substance into her drink that caused her to pass out. While she was unconscious, she alleges the agent sexually assaulted her.

"This is being treated as a rape," one FBI source confirmed. The FBI agent has reportedly been fired.

The shocking revelation comes on the heels of recent reporting by True Pundit of rampant sexual abuse inside the FBI.

Former Drexel University professor George Ciccariello-Maher resigned from his position just days ago only to be hired by New York University as a visiting scholar at their Hemispheric Institute of Performance and Politics.

Ciccariello-Maher wrote Monday on Facebook: "I'm glad to announce that, starting today, I will be a Visiting Scholar at NYU's Hemispheric Institute of Performance and Politics. Happy New Year!"

George Ciccariello-Maher made headlines last year after tweeting, "All I Want For Christmas is White Genocide."

A cop's fear of a mid-sized dog inside a family's home resulted in the cop firing a bullet which missed the dog and struck a 9-year-old girl in the head.

Last week, an innocent man was murdered by Wichita police for the 'crime' of opening his front door in front of frightened trigger happy cops. Now, TFTP has learned that just days after that, a little girl was shot by police inside her own home.

Over the weekend, a Witchita cop was placed on administrative leave after discharging his firearm inside a family's home-in a cowardly attempt to kill a dog-and hitting a little girl instead.

As KAKE reports, officers were called at around 6:15 p.m. to the report of a domestic disturbance and suicidal person in the 1500 block of North Gentry, near 13th and Hillside. Officer Paul Cruz said in a news release that officers were told a 33-year-old man in the home had held a gun in his mouth and choked a dog.

Son's 'murder countdown' posted online prior to gruesome attack on New Year's Eve

A man is being questioned by police in France after he allegedly posted a countdown to his mother's decapitation online, before stabbing the woman to death and wounding his father.

The 61-year-old woman died at a house in the French town of Remouillé in the early hours of January 1, after receiving stab wounds to the throat, reported Presse Ocean. A second person, a man, also received injuries in the attack, which police suspect was carried out by the 36-year-old son of the couple.

It's since emerged that a grisly countdown to murder was posted on the internet prior to the New Year's Eve attack. A screengrab of the countdown, obtained by France TV Info, reveals that it is titled: "Decapitation of Therese H." The post sets the date for the gruesome act as January 1, and identifies a location for the attack near Nantes.

It is thought the suspect turned up at the house in Remouillé just before midnight on December 31 as a party was underway. The 36-year-old suspect, whose identity is yet to be released, will now appear in court charged in connection with the death of the woman and the attempted murder of the male victim. He will also undergo a psychiatric evaluation, according to Le Parisien. RT.com has contacted the Remouillé police for further comment.

A homeless man who was hailed a 'hero' for aiding victims of the Manchester Arena bombing has admitted robbing a woman as her teenage granddaughter lay dying. He pleaded guilty to swiping a phone and a purse amid the chaos.

Chris Parker, 33, was praised globally after he described comforting victims of the bombing that killed 22 people and injured hundreds more on May 22, 2017. What he failed to mention, however, was how he stole the personal belongings of those injured in the blast.

Parker, who now lives in Halifax, West Yorkshire, initially denied claims that he had robbed victims wounded in the suicide attack.

With more than 20 people dead following anti-government protests across Iran, footage of mass demonstrations and violent clashes involving police and protesters have been shared liberally across social media in recent weeks.

First among these is a post from conservative media contributor Kambree Kawahine Koa who published a video to her Twitter feed that purported to show a mass anti-government demonstration in Iran. Kawahine Koa told her more than 83,000 followers: "Whoa! 300,000 March for democracy in Iran! Incredible!"

However, Twitter users were quick to debunk the claim, pointing out that the video is actually of protests in Bahrain in 2011. In a series of tweets posted on New Year's Day, the Bahrain-based Twitter user who re-posted the video said that she had been surprised to find that it was viewed 50,000 times in just two hours. Up to then, it had been viewed a mere 18,000 times in seven years.

"I wanted to know what was causing this sudden interest & I discovered that US press & American activists had picked it up & republished it as depicting protests in Iran even though my original Arabic tweet clearly stated the protest was in 2011 [in] Bahrain," the user's post read.

Germans trust police or schools more than banks, big corporations and media, including newspapers and TV channels. That's according to a revealing survey which dug into Germans' approval of their country's institutions.

Germans have a lot of trust in the police, doctors, universities and schools but strongly distrust bankers, print media and TV broadcasters, a new study by Forsa pollster revealed.

According to the survey conducted for RTL media group, 83 percent trust the police - the top figure - followed by universities (80 percent), doctors (78 percent) and the respondent's own employer (75 percent).

Notably, press and television seem far less trustworthy for Germans, with 40 percent and 28 percent approval respectively.

The very bottom of the pack included corporations (27 percent), banks (20 percent), Islam (9 percent), managers (6 percent) and public relations firms (5 percent).
