U.S. Jewish activists block the entrance to the office of Senator Ben Cardin (D-MD) on Monday, April 16 2018.
Five Democratic members of Congress published a statement calling on Israel 'to exercise utmost restraint in the use of deadly force' in Gaza
Washington - A group of around 30 demonstrators from the left-wing Jewish group "If Not Now" gathered Monday in front of the office of Senator Ben Cardin (D-MD) to protest Israel's use of deadly force against thousands of Palestinian demonstrators on the Israel-Gaza border in recent weeks. The demonstrators called on Cardin, one of the most senior Democratic Senators on the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, to denounce Israel's response, specifically its use of live ammunition to keep Palestinian protesters away from the border fence between Israel and Gaza.
The protesters blocked the entrance to Cardin's office and asked: "How many more lives need to be lost until you will speak up about the violence in Gaza?" Cardin is slated to speak before the annual J Street conference in Washington later on Monday afternoon.
Comment: It is a step forward that US members of Congress speak against Israel's brutality. However, notice how they struggle to use the right words and fail to call the incident what it was: premeditated murders.

Grace Lewis, was taking a class offered by Polk State college, in Florida. The very smart student usually had a 3.9 GPA. She was punished with 4 straight zero grades, because of her belief in God. Her professor used his position of power over his student, and tried to force her to adopt his world views. When she tried to stand up for herself he retaliated, by punishing her with undeserved failing grades. It appears she wasn't the only victim of this bullying either.
Comment: College campuses are the hot-bed of the liberal atheist agenda and the erosion of free speech, where professors use there positions to indoctrinate young minds with their political ideology. How valuable is a college degree when the institutions are clearly teaching kids not to think?

Indian policemen guarding the house of the eight-year-old girl who was raped and murdered, in Rasana village in Jammu, on April 17, 2018.
Police say the girl was raped and killed as part of an attempt by some of the village's majority Hindus to evict Bakarwal Muslim nomads, who graze their cattle in the hills in the summer months.
It seems to have worked: the girl's family have headed for the Kashmir hills under police protection. Other Muslim families in the community of around 100 people all left after the rape in January.
At the empty home of the dead girl's family, five armed police kept guard half asleep in chairs outside.
Police say the child was drugged, held captive in a Hindu temple for five days, and repeatedly raped before being beaten to death.

Uganda's President Yoweri Museveni has issued what he calls a "public warning" against oral sex.
The president claims the practice has been pushed on Ugandans by "outsiders," and argues that the mouth is solely for eating.
"Let me take this opportunity to warn our people publicly about the wrong practices indulged in and promoted by some of the outsiders," he told the press during an address.
Comment: Surely Uganda has one or a hundred more urgent issues to look into other than whether people should be having oral sex or not?
As the United States military and its allies continue to escalate conflicts in Syria and throughout the Middle East, an anti-war group is carrying out nationwide protests on Tax Day to oppose war funding.
The National War Tax Resistance Coordinating Committee (NWTRCC), made a statement last week calling for an end to war and proposing a massive movement of tax resistance. The organization has coordinated Tax Day protests since 1983 and their message is more important now than it has ever been.
According to the group's website:
"The National War Tax Resistance Coordinating Committee supports individuals who refuse to pay for war, and promotes war tax resistance in the context of a broad range of nonviolent strategies for social change. Through the redirection of our tax dollars, war tax resisters contribute directly to the struggle for peace and justice for all.
NWTRCC is a coalition of local, regional, and national groups and individuals from across the United States. For everyone interested in or actively refusing to pay taxes for war, NWTRCC offers information, referral, support, resources, publicity, campaign sponsorship, and connection to an international network of conscientious objectors to war taxes."

Pork meat would be kosher if it were "grown" in a lab, Israeli Modern Orthodox Rabbi Yuval Cherlow told Calcalist on Sunday. Mr. Cherlow addressed the issue at a panel on kosher food and genetic modification on Thursday at Bar-Ilan University near Tel Aviv. According to Mr. Cherlow, existing kosher laws could not be applied to lab-grown meat, since, well, it was never alive.
Jewish religious law prohibits consumption of pork, shellfish, and the eating of meat and dairy products together. Kosher laws also dictates the manner in which animals should be slaughtered and the way meat is processed. Technological advancements in the field of genetic modification and synthesized foods are pressing religious leaders to reevaluate, and at times, redefine these long-standing traditions.
Comment: He's right about that this last point - if the stuff is grown in a lab then it becomes something else altogether, no? Some call it shmeat.
Alex On-Air, a talk show host with WNOW-FM radio in Indianapolis, Indiana, posted several examples from the textbook on Twitter, and the story was also reported by The American Mirror.
What does this reflect?
"In case you didn't think there was an effort going on in public schools to indoctrinate kids with an anti-conservative agenda, a friend of mine took pictures and highlighted parts of this AP US History book," the WNOW radio host wrote on Twitter.
