Police forces across Britain are now allowing convicted male rapists to be recorded as being female if they no longer want to identify with their sex at birth.

Six forces, including South Yorkshire and Thames Valley constabularies, were revealed to have adopted the practice, which allocated sexual offenders with a different gender identity on their official database which is used by the Home Office.

The information was revealed in a Freedom of Information request by women's rights group Fair Play for Women into how police compile official records.

In the request Durham, Kent, Norfolk and Suffolk police forces, as well as British Transport Police, also hinted that they do record gender in line with the offender's wishes.

'You can't get much more of a male crime than rape,' Nicola Williams, director of FPW told the Sunday Times.

'It would be highly offensive to a woman who was raped to have it written down that her attacker was a female when clearly that was a male with a penis.'

University dumps professor who found polar bears thriving despite climate change

polar bear
Nobody has done more to sink the claim that climate change is endangering polar bears than zoologist Susan Crockford — and she may have paid for it with her job.

After 15 years as an adjunct assistant professor, Ms. Crockford said the University of Victoria rejected without explanation in May her renewal application, despite her high profile as a speaker and author stemming from her widely cited research on polar bears and dog domestication.

Ms. Crockford accused officials at the Canadian university of bowing to "outside pressure," the result of her research showing that polar bear populations are stable and even thriving, not plummeting as a result of shrinking Arctic sea ice, defying claims of the climate change movement.

Her dismissal, which she announced Wednesday in a post on her Polar Bear Science blog, has spurred alarm over the implications for academic freedom and the rise of the "cancel culture" for professors and scientists who challenge climate catastrophe predictions.

"When push came to shove, UVic threw me under the bus rather than stand up for my academic freedom," said Ms. Crockford, who earned a Ph.D. in interdisciplinary studies, specifically biology and anthropology, in 2004.

As an Aspie, I'm worried about Greta

Climate-change alarmists shouldn't be using a vulnerable child to promote their cause.

During my childhood, I would purposely look for reasons to be disillusioned and depressed about the world. I was introverted, pessimistic and socially awkward, so I retreated, like many young people with Asperger's, into a world of obsessions that were largely confined to my bedroom. My chief fascination lay in the natural world and, by about the age of 15, I'd acquired a collection of National Geographic magazines so substantial that my bedroom shelf was eventually to collapse under their sheer weight.

Marvelling at the beauty of planet Earth in the form of glossy photographs made me despair at what I thought was the senseless destruction of our planet through a combination of humanity's indifference, carelessness and rapacious materialism. In time, it made me increasingly misanthropic. Like 16-year-old eco-activist Greta Thunberg, I was convinced that we as a species were headed inexorably towards disaster.

Democrats cry racism over campaign poster criticizing black San Francisco mayor

San Francisco Mayor London Breed speaks during the Alice B. Toklas LGBT Democratic Club Annual Pride Breakfast in support of the LGBTQ community in San Francisco, California, U.S. June 30, 2019.
A Republican election poster intended as a caricature of incumbent San Francisco mayor London Breed, showing her with her feet on the table, counting dollar bills and puffing a joint, has sparked accusations of racism.

The poster popped up on the streets of the Golden City as it braces for mayoral elections set for November 5. The ad was sponsored by the only Republican candidate in the race, Chinese-American Ellen Lee Zhou.

Made in a cartoonish style, the poster shows a black woman in a red clinging dress sitting with her high heels kicked up on a desk. The woman clutches a stack of greenbacks in her left hand and a joint in the right and appears to be dreaming. A long queue of people with price tags hanging around their necks is drawn in a thought bubble coming from the woman's head. In the left corner of the poster, a man with a pack of dollar bills is carrying away a toddler. "Stop slavery and human trafficking in SF. Vote Nov.5, 2019 Ellen Zhou for Mayor," the slogan reads.

Texas jury blocks father from stopping gender transition of 7-year-old son to girl

James Younger transgender

James Younger
"You've heard of people who can't agree if the sky is blue. These parents can't even agree if their child is a boy or a girl," said Logan Odeneal, the lawyer for Jeff Younger, in his concluding remarks to the jury in a drawn-out custody battle.

For the past week, jurors have been sitting through a family court trial between Younger and Anne Georgulas, who argued over whether their seven-year-old son, James, has gender dysphoria, and if so, whether they should show their parental love to him by taking an approach of "affirmation" or one of "watchful waiting."

Today, the jury decided to give sole managing conservatorship of the parents' two twin sons to Georgulas, a pediatrician, who contended that James is transgender and should be affirmed by allowing him to wear dresses and taking him to school as a girl named "Luna."

9-year-old boy arraigned on 5 murder charges in deadly mobile home blaze

mobile home fire
A 9-year-old boy was arraigned Monday on charges of murdering five relatives in an Illinois mobile home fire, a report said.

Kyle Alwood appeared confused at times during the half-hour hearing and quietly cried at its conclusion, before being escorted out by his grandparents, who are caring for him, according to The Journal Star.

The child is facing five counts of first-degree murder for allegedly setting the April 6 blaze in Goodfield that killed three kids and two adults - ranging in age from 1 to 69 years old.

After the blaze broke out, the boy ran next door to the home of his maternal grandparents and shrieked, "The house is on fire! Help!" the report said.

The ambulance which was robbed by an armed man.
Norwegian police have arrested a suspect who stole an ambulance and used it to ram innocent bystanders on the streets of Oslo on Tuesday afternoon.

The armed suspect was apprehended but not critically injured, despite the fact that police reportedly opened fire on the ambulance during their pursuit.

Five people were injured in the incident, including two babies, but their condition is believed to be stable and their injuried minor.

Eyewitness footage from the scene captured the moment police had the ambulance partially surrounded but the suspect managed to evade them and drive away despite being under fire.

San Diego already seeing benefits from new border wall

The two barriers in San Diego sector
In November of last year, when a caravan of hundreds of migrants approached the U.S.-Mexico border near San Diego, they faced old landing mat barriers erected decades ago. Border agents say the migrants simply trampled over it as they sought entry into the United States to claim asylum.

The situation on the ground is much different now.

As part of President Trump's campaign promise to build a wall along the southern border, 14 miles of 18-foot primary steel bollard fencing has been built in San Diego, with a secondary 30-foot steel bollard barrier behind that which is approximately 80 percent complete.

They replace the 8-foot landing mats, which were often supported by a steel mesh behind that. The difference is dramatic.

Nick Cave whacks 'woke' culture as 'self-righteous' and suppressive

Nick Cave
"Antifa and the Far Right," he adds, are "good for nothing."

Australian musician and writer Nick Cave — best known as the genre-bending Goth heartthrob leader of the Bad Seeds — has had enough of "woke culture." A fan recently asked the 62-year-old Cave about his political leanings, and another inquired: "How 'woke' are you?" His answer, posted at his blog The Red Hand Files, is as lapidary and memorable as the theme song he composed for Peaky Blinders.
I tend to become uncomfortable around all ideologies that brand themselves as 'the truth' or 'the way'. This not only includes most religions, but also atheism, radical bi-partisan politics or any system of thought, including 'woke' culture, that finds its energy in self-righteous belief and the suppression of contrary systems of thought. Regardless of the virtuous intentions of many woke issues, it is its lack of humility and the paternalistic and doctrinal sureness of its claims that repel me.

Antifa and the Far Right, for example, with their routine street fights, role-playing and dress-ups are participants in a weirdly erotic, violent and mutually self-sustaining marriage, propped up entirely by the blind, inflexible convictions of each other's belief systems. It is good for nothing, except inflaming their own self-righteousness.

Comment: Refreshing to see an artist or celebrity who actually has the good sense to accurately read societal ills correctly - and appropriately speak up about them.

'Shut up until you have solutions': Greta Thunberg mural defaced in Edmonton, Canada

Greta Thunberg
© Global Look Press
A mural of controversial Swedish climate activist Greta Thunberg has been defaced in Edmonton, Alberta with the words: "Stop the lies! This is oil country!"

The original mural is a piece by local artist AJA Louden depicting the divisive young climate activist during her notorious "how dare you" speech delivered at the UN in September.

The large mural lasted only a few days before it was defaced by counter-protesters with a simple message for the plucky young Swedish saint of sustainability: "This is oil country."

"My father has worked in the oil industry. We don't need foreigners coming in and telling us how to run our business, support our families, put food on our tables..." the apparent vandal told a CBC journalist who happened to be on site at the time.
