The Vatican has spent nearly 4 billion to keep pedophilia lawsuits quiet since 1950

Priests
Pedophilia has become a huge topic of discussion over recent weeks as not only have sexual abuse outings been taking place in Hollywood, but the exposure of pedophilia in Hollywood and amongst the elite is becoming more common.

The reality of child molestation by the Roman Catholic Church has surfaced time and time again, and yet, somehow, it continues to happen. If you watched the movie Spotlight, perhaps you have an idea of just how things are going down. But let's break it down to date.

Mainstream media makes new push on "gun confiscation orders" as response to mass shootings

guns
In what many saw coming a mile away in the aftermath of both the Las Vegas Massacre and the Texas Church mass shooting, liberals in the government, with the help of their mainstream media allies, are now pushing what amounts to plans for gun confiscation, outside of normal law, for Americans across the country.

The new push for gun control from the left comes courtesy of ABC News which recently published a piece promoting the use of an Extreme Risk Protection Order (ERPO) that many believe is nothing more than a thinly veiled confiscation plan that would allow a judge to "issue an ex parte order" for the direct confiscation of an American citizens firearms.

Unbelievably, the order can actually be issued without the firearm owner even being present, which would in turn end with police at the citizens door demanding he hand over his weapons or face violence from the state.

Cop takes mentally ill woman to hotel, lies to employee about saving her - and then sexually assaults her

Cop rape
Surveillance footage shows a police sergeant lying about why he was reserving a hotel room for a mentally ill woman, before using it to sexually assault her.

When a police sergeant arrived at a local hotel in uniform, and used his personal credit card to pay for a 23-year-old mentally ill woman's room, he claimed she was a domestic abuse survivor, and he was helping her while police searched for her husband - but he didn't admit that he was actually looking for a place to take advantage of, and sexually assault the woman.

Newly released surveillance footage obtained by Local 10 News shows Miami Gardens police Sgt. Javier Romaguera leading the woman into the hotel lobby after midnight on the night of July 11, 2016, and then telling the clerk at the front desk that "no can know she's here."

"It's kind of sad," Romaguera told the hotel employee. "She's just a baby ... she's Haitian, so she doesn't speak English. Her parents brought her here so she could have an education ... She comes here with her husband. He beats the s*** out of her. We're trying to find him, but she can't go back to the house."

South Africa drafts legislation to ban smoking in all public places

You may not light up at the bar. You may not light up near your car. And you can't start smoking on designated floors... You cannot even smoke indoors.

These are effectively the proposals being set out by the Department of Health. But they have been less 'Dr Seuss' about it than us. Their draft legislation aims to prohibit smoking in all public areas, whether that's indoors our outside.

Draft legislation plans to ban smoking in all public places

Designated smoking areas would be consigned to the history books, should this bill become ratified in Parliament. It's all part of the government's wider war on cigarettes, which also features plans to ban the display of smokes at retailers, and to remove all recognisable branding from cigarette packs.

A federal judge has declared a mistrial in the case of Christopher "Jake" Carrizal, the first biker to stand trial for his involvement in a 2015 shootout that left nine dead and 20 injured. The jury deadlocked with one juror refusing to change his mind.

The jury spent more than 14 hours deliberating before they sent a note to McLennan County 54th District Judge Matt Johnson, which said they could not reach a verdict on the charges against Carrizal.

The trial stems from a 2015 shootout between two rival biker gangs - the Bandidos and the Cossacks. Nine people were killed and 20 others injured after gang members opened fire on each other at the Twin Peaks restaurant in Waco, Texas.

Carrizal, the president of the Dallas chapter of the Bandidos, was charged with one count of directing the activities of a street gang and two counts of engaging in organized criminal activity for his involvement in the shooting. If convicted of any of his charges, Carrizal would face life in prison.

A public health emergency was declared as choking smog blanketed New Delhi on Tuesday, with authorities ordering the temporary closure of all primary schools in the world's most polluted capital city. The US embassy website said levels of the fine pollutants known as PM2.5 that are most harmful to health reached 703-well over double the threshold of 300 that authorities class as hazardous. Local authorities are warning of worsening conditions in the coming days.

The Indian Medical Association declared a public health emergency as it urged city administrators "to make every possible effort to curb this menace".

As public outrage mounted over the air pollution crisis, Delhi's deputy chief minister Manish Sisodia ordered the closure of all primary schools on Wednesday. "We have decided to shut schools up to primary level for a day, and will evaluate the situation on an hourly basis to see if such a closure needs to be extended," he told reporters. Almost 2 million students are enrolled in primary schools in Delhi, according to government data from 2015.

All outdoor activities have also been banned across the capital's 6,000 schools while pollution levels remain at severe levels, Sisodia said.

A man who lived in an apartment block that partially collapsed in the Russian city of Izhevsk has been detained on suspicion of intentionally setting up the explosion that killed at least seven people and left dozens homeless.

The suspect, Aleksandr Kopytov, lived with his mother in a flat that is believed to have been the epicenter of Thursday's blast. An accidental gas leak was initially suspected of causing the explosion, in which nine stories of the building collapsed, turning apartments into rubble and killing seven people, including two children.

Based on preliminary findings and Kopytov's interrogation, a criminal case has been opened against the man, Russia's Investigative Committee said in a statement Friday. Investigators found no traces of explosives during their initial analysis.

The man is accused of murdering several people through "publicly dangerous methods," while "personal animosity" is regarded as a possible motive for the alleged crime, investigators said. A forensic psychiatric examination will be arranged for the man, as "there are doubts regarding his mental health," they added.

At least eight units were completely destroyed and more than 30 badly damaged, officials said. Shops located on the ground floor were buried under the debris, according to local media. The building also reportedly housed a children's center. Some 550 residents reportedly lived in the block, with over a hundred having been evacuated as the deadly drama unfolded.

Pavel Kolobkov
Russian Sports Minister Pavel Kolobkov has spoken exclusively to RT to share his thoughts on the recent speculation about a possible ban on the Russian national anthem at the upcoming Winter Olympics, as well as the country's continuing anti-doping efforts.

RT: Russia's Investigative Committee has published updated information regarding the alleged government-led doping scheme in Russia. The document says that the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) has drawn some incorrect conclusions. Do you think that the Investigative Committee's arguments will be taken into consideration by WADA?

Pavel Kolobkov: Russia's Investigative Committee has been investigating the case for a year and a half. Of course, it's very important for us to find the truth regarding the Rodchenkov case, regarding the anti-doping work in Russia. The announcements made by Russia's investigative body are very important. I think that the International Olympic Committee (IOC) and WADA should take into consideration the conclusions reached by Russia's investigative body. I very much hope there will be cooperation between these entities that are aimed to determine the truth.
