Total of 696 farmers commit suicide in 3 months across Maharashtra, India

suicides
The government has chosen not to intervene in the market prices of the seasonal crops, forcing farmers to deal with the debt and the crisis on their own.

Despite the Maharashtra government's farm loan waiver scheme to "settle" the agrarian debts of farmers, the number of farmers committing suicide in the state continues to rise. The state has witnessed a total of 696 farmer suicides in the initial three months of 2018. Though the state government had declared farm loan waiver in June last year, the figure is much higher than the number of cases that were reported during the same period last year, which was 672.

The Vidarbha region has recorded a slight dip in the cases with 329 cases, compared to 353 cases of last year. However, the Vidarbha region has marked the highest number of agriculturists committing suicide. On the other hand, Marathwada, Northern Maharashtra and Western Maharashtra regions have been seen a rise in the farmer suicides.

Russian news investigation: Julia Skripal's boyfriend unreachable, dog missing

The crew of "Vesti" News Channel managed to interview Julia Skripal's neighbors in Moscow, and the investigators in Russia.

"The girl left in a taxi, passed through the airport metal detector at the entrance, and then, already with the boarding pass in hand - went to the gate. This footage from Sheremetyevo airport was the last, on which it is certain - it was Julia Skripal. The video was published by Russian investigators, who traced the entire path of the girl from Moscow to Salisbury.

Julia Skripal was infected with the poisonous substance on the airplane to the United Kingdom - this is the version of the British authorities. But the Investigative Committee refused this version of what happened.

The investigators found that none of the passengers flying the same flight had signs of toxicity. The same with the taxi driver who took Julia to the airport.

In addition, during the investigation it was possible to establish Yulia Skripal's work place in Russia and all of her friends. Julia owns a a two-bedroom apartment in Moscow where, according to neighbors, she was planning a renovation. That is, she never planned to leave Russia for good.

"There were some repair works recently. Also, a dog was howling, that's all I know." - "a dog was howling? asks the journalist. "Well, it was left alone there for a while," Julia's neighbour said.

Around the time that Julia disappeared - her partner Stepan was also no where to be seen, and hasn't been since.

Comment: There were early reports that Julia's boyfriend was "close to Putin", but that angle has been memory-holed. Whatever is going on, it's certainly strange. There was no indication Julia planned on "defecting". And the lack of any public communication with her throws into question the statements made on her behalf by the British authorities - especially when said statements include that she doesn't want anyone speaking on her behalf. It looks as if the Russians might be right: Julia and her father are being held against their will and refused any contact with the outside world.

German poll: Trump not Putin is greater threat to world peace

More than 90 percent of Germans want better relations with Russia, while more than three-quarters think US President Donald Trump represents a greater threat to world peace than Vladimir Putin, a new poll says.

Painting Russia as a boogeyman and a threat to the West has been the narrative of both the mainstream media and a number of Western states for some time. Now, a poll conducted by the Forsa Institute on behalf of the Wiese Consult group has revealed a substantial difference between the main narrative in the media and general public opinion.

It revealed that 83 percent of Germans said they weren't afraid of Russia, while half of all respondents blamed American policy for creating a tense relationship between Russia and the West. Only a quarter of Germans believed that conflict was Russia's fault. More than three-quarters of respondents (79 percent) said they considered US President Donald Trump to be a greater threat to world peace than his Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putin.

California sheriff says it's 'better financially' to kill suspects than wound them

Kern County Sheriff Donny Youngblood
The sheriff of a California county with an outsized number of police shootings once said that it was "better financially" to kill suspects than wound them.

Kern County Sheriff Donny Youngblood was looking for an endorsement in 2006 when he posed the question, "When a deputy shoots somebody, which way is better financially? To cripple them or kill them for the county?"

"Kill them?" someone off camera asks before Youngblood answers "Absolutely."

"Because if you cripple them you have to take care of them for life and that cost goes way up," he said.

The damning video was released Monday by the Kern County Detention Officers Association, one of three officers' unions that had endorsed Youngblood's upcoming election opponent and chief deputy Justin Fleeman.

The CNN propaganda show goes on: Reporter supposedly inhales deadly 'chemical weapons' on camera - complains 'that stings'

The global Fake News leader's Arwa Damon sampled a little sarin in the course of her humanitarian propaganda piece on Syria

CNN, the world leader in hard hitting, real news (do you sense any irony?), has produced this stupendous report from a refugee camp in Northern Syria, with people it says "survived" the "chemical attack" in Douma earlier this month.

The US, Britain and France alleged Syrian President Bashar al-Assad pointlessly attacked his own people in Douma with sarin nerve agent, prompting the three nations to launch air strikes on Syria on the night of April 13-14th.

CNN correspondent Arwa Damon was at the camp to interview the "survivors" - as well as sample a little sarin herself.

The report (below) shows Damon and others, handling backpacks, clothing and toys allegedly exposed to Syrian government chemical weapons.

Comment: More contemptibly false reporting by CNN

Russian military finds chemical weapons precursors in terrorist lab in Douma

Russian servicemen have found another evidence of manufacturing of military poisonous substances by Jaish al-Islam terrorists in the Syrian town of Douma, where on April 7 a false-flag attack took place, serving as a pretext for the US and allies to blame the government and strike the country.

"During the examination of the chemical laboratory a lot of hexamin was discovered, which is yet more proof that militants had been producing chemical weapons," a specialist of Russia's radiological, chemical and biological defense corps, Alexander Rodionov, told journalists on April 20.

He explained that the substance is used for making explosives, as well as sarin-type nerve agents.

On April 17, Russian servicemen found a laboratory in Douma which could have been used by terrorists to manufacture chemical weapons. A former member of the UN's biological commission told Sputnik that it was "highly likely" that the lab's equipment was made in Germany or the UK.

Comment: So far the only evidence of a chemical attack is the say-so of alleged refugees in Turkey. It's all hearsay. Every reporter on the ground reports no evidence of chemical attack. All the locals are either unaware of a chemical attack, or testify that the White Helmets faked the scene in the Douma hospital. Douma may just go down as the first false-flag in the modern era that was completely debunked within weeks of it happening. It's sad really. And more than a tad humiliating for FUKUS. See: Investigative reporter interviews Douma residents, all say they witnessed no signs of chemical attack

Western propagandists say all these witnesses must have been coerced by the Syrian government to deny that the attack took place. Yet those same propagandists refuse to apply the same standard to the alleged refugees in Turkey: could they not have been coerced to say that it did take place? And if they are tied to Jaysh al-Islam, would they not have a motive for lying, too? As it is, the balance of probability leans strongly towards the account from randomly chosen residents of Douma: their identities can be verified, unlike those in Turkey.

The man was chased by a group of men to a house on Laxthorpe in Hull.
A Polish man was left in hospital after he was attacked by an Orchard Park gang of 20 armed with a plank of wood with nails embedded in it.

The victim and three of his friends, also from eastern Europe, were walking to a bus stop near Hall Road at about 7.30pm on Sunday evening when they were confronted by the gang of 20 men.

The gang chased the four back down Thorpepark Road, before one of the men was caught and beaten.

One of the eastern European men in the group, who did not want to be named for his own safety, said: "The group were standing on the street, and when they heard us speaking in Polish they began to shout at us and throw a few bottles.

Natalie Portman says 'enough'! Refuses to accept Israel's equivalent of Nobel Prize based on recent events in Gaza

Natalie Portman

Natalie Portman
The Gaza killings have hurt Israel's image in the world, and tonight the damage got even bigger. In an astonishing move, the Israeli-American film star Natalie Portman, 36, informed an Israeli foundation she would not show up at the awards ceremony for Israel's equivalent of the Nobel Prize, because, as the JTA reports:
The [Genesis] foundation said that Portman's representative notified it that "[r]ecent events in Israel have been extremely distressing to her and she does not feel comfortable participating in any public events in Israel" and that "she cannot in good conscience move forward with the ceremony."
The statement is surely a reference to Israel's killing of nearly 40 unarmed Palestinian protesters in Gaza, which have shocked Jews around the world.

The story has garnered instant international attention. CNN, the Guardian, the Forward.

Genesis has cancelled the awards ceremony, out of "fear that Ms. Portman's decision will cause our philanthropic initiative to be politicized."

Comment: At what point do the accolades, the money and the recognition no longer matter more than the stirrings of an awakened conscience? We just found out thanks to the brave act of Natalie Portman. We can only hope that the attacks and threats she is quite likely to receive at the hands of the pathological Zionists don't compel her to make some form of recantation, like the Jewish Zionist and jurist Richard Goldstone was forced to after he produced an objective and damning report of Israeli war crimes during Operation Cast Lead.

Stay strong, Natalie Portman.

Here are some more opinions on her decision:
