Georgia vows no tax breaks for Delta until their political boycott of the NRA ends

Georgia Lt. Gov. Casey Cagle

Georgia Lt. Gov. Casey Cagle
Georgia Lt. Gov. Casey Cagle (R) responded to Delta's decision to sever ties with NRA by announcing he will work to ensure the airline gets no tax breaks unless their political boycott ends.

On February 24, Breitbart News reported that over a dozen companies had cut ties with NRA in the wake of an anti-Second Amendment campaign targeting companies that gave discounts and other perks to NRA members. Delta Airlines was one of the companies that announced they were ending their relationship with the NRA.

On February 26, Lt. Gov. Cagle responded by making clear there would be no tax cuts for Delta until they ended their political boycott of the NRA.

Cagle's message to Delta came two days after he made clear that "discriminating against law-abiding gun owners will not solve the problem" we face in attacks like the one on Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School.

Cagle tweeted:
I'm a lifetime member of the NRA and a strong supporter of law abiding citizens' Second Amendment rights. Like all Americans, I'm horrified by the mass shootings we've witnessed. If corporate America wants to make a positive difference on gun violence, it should donate a portion of its profits to mental health treatments and school safety initiatives. They should put their money where their mouth is instead of engaging in viewpoint discrimination against conservatives and law-abiding gun owners.
United Airlines, Budget, Alamo Rent a Car, First National Bank of Omaha, Hertz, Metlife, and Best Western are among the other companies that caved to the anti-Second Amendment PR campaign as well.

Asylum-seekers in Greece expose seedy reality of sex work and drugs in RT Documentary

Refugees and migrants line up to receive their lunch provided by the Greek authorities, at a makeshift camp next to the Moria camp on the island of Lesbos, Greece, November 30, 2017
Approximately 47,000 people, many of whom are unaccompanied minors, are stuck in Greece on account of the country's closed-border policy. RT Documentary has spent time on the ground in Athens speaking to those affected.

"I'm 17 years old, I came from Turkey six months ago, by sea," says one boy in Athens. "There are a lot of old people here who offer money for sex."

Greece has long been one of the major entry points into Europe for migrants and refugees, many of whom are children and young people.

The UN has published a report this month in which it outlines the urgent need for more to be done in order to protect vulnerable children caught up in the various migrant crises around the world.

Woman who took in Florida shooter files for control of his inheritance, has his brother committed

Nikolas Cruz, facing 17 murder charges in the mass shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, appears in court for a status hearing in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, February 19, 2018.
A woman who took in accused Florida shooter Nikolas Cruz just after his mother died in November has reportedly filed to control Cruz's reported $800,000 inheritance.

What are the details?

Rocxanne Deschamps, a former neighbor of Nikolas' adoptive mother Lynda, reportedly filed the paperwork a day after the Valentine's Day mass shooting, which claimed the lives of 17 people and injured many more.

The New York Post on Tuesday reported that Deschamps - who took in Nikolas Cruz and his brother, Zachary, and reported Nikolas to the police when he threatened people with a gun - also reportedly involuntarily committed Zachary to a mental health facility last week and in court filings, she said that she was "caring for a 50 percent minor beneficiary."

Nikolas, 19, is at the center of several domestic disputes at the Deschamps home, which involved "explosive, violent outbursts."

Florida's Baker Act stipulates that a minor can only be involuntary held for 12 hours unless, after an evaluation, a facility finds there is a valid reason to continue holding the patient.

Comment: An interesting contrast: violent, explosive outbursts at the Deschamps home, yet at the Sneads', Cruz seemed on his best behavior. What was going on at the former?

Diversity, compassion: Liberal group on Facebook calls for murder of Republicans after Florida shooting

An extreme left Facebook group with tens of thousands of members has encouraged mass shooters to murder Republicans in the wake of the Parkland, Florida shooting, Truth and Action reports.

This isn't the first time that the admins of Milkshakes Against the Republican Party - a troll group with over 27,000 members - have threatened murder against conservatives.

While the group's general seriousness may be questioned (its name seems to derive, if images on its Facebook page are any indication, from Master Shake, a troll-like character on the stoner-toon "Aqua Teen Hunger Force"), the language of the threats is clearly meant in earnest anger.

"Parents in the waiting area for today's school shooting in Florida," the first one reads.

"You remember the shooting at the Republican baseball game? One of those should happen EVERY WEEK until those NRA-funded sons of b*****s do something about this."

Just a short time later, Milkshakes Against the Republican Party released another statement egging on potential shooters to reenact the attack that nearly killed House Majority Whip Rep. Steve Scalise.

Terrorists use US-made weapons against Syrian army in Eastern Ghouta

Damaged cars and buildings are seen in the besieged town of Douma, Eastern Ghouta, Damascus, Syria
The former Al-Nusra's missile attack on the Syrian army's positions in Eastern Ghouta, a vast area around Damascus, occurred nearly at the same time as the UN Security Council was attempting to completely implement a US-lobbied ceasefire in Eastern Ghouta , including the areas controlled by the terrorists. The latter never happened, though.

Tahrir al-Sham Hay'at, which goes by the name Levant Liberation Committee and grew out of the Al-Nusra Front in January 2017, targeted a Bulldozer of the Syrian army Monday in Eastern Ghouta with a US-made TOW missile from the Harasta district northeast of Damascus, sources close to the terrorist groups reported, cited by Fars news outlet.

On Saturday, the United Nations Security Council unanimously approved a resolution stipulating a 30-day ceasefire across Syria to form a "humanitarian corridor" and thus facilitate aid access to civilians. Yet, the UN resolution has excluded Daesh, Al-Nusra and other Al-Qaeda groups from the ceasefire, thus subjecting Eastern Ghouta to an even worse military confrontation.

Comment: A video has emerged yesterday of terrorist forces in East Ghouta, to the east of Damascus city center, using US-made weapons against the Syrian Army.
A video uploaded by terrorist forces yesterday show them using the US-made BGM-71 TOW anti-tank missile.

These are highly expensive weapons that can utilized to disengage a Syrian Army tank and even kill everyone inside.

The video shows the powerful weapon being deployed and used in Harasta town in the western sector of the East Ghouta pocket.

Call for boycott against NRA produces backlash, conservatives galvanized

NRA meeting
© Reuters / Adrees Latif
The liberal campaign against the NRA has successfully pressured some companies to sever their partnerships with the gun rights group but it's having another, unintended effect: galvanizing conservatives who feel the NRA has been unfairly attacked.

Liberal activist groups turned the NRA into a scapegoat for the Florida school shooting that left 17 people dead and immediately launched a pressure campaign meant to weaken the NRA, which touts itself as the nation's longest-standing civil rights organization.

Liberals have threatened boycott campaigns against companies like FedEx, for having discount partnerships with NRA members. On that front, the activists have had some success, as several companies including United Airlines and Delta Airlines caved to the pressure and severed their ties with the NRA. Left-wing website ThinkProgress, a project of the George Soros-funded Center for American Progress, has since taken credit for launching that boycott campaign.

Lawsuit filed against Pennsylvania: 100,000 noncitizens illegally registered to vote

Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton is accompanied by Philadelphia Mayor Jim Kenney, left, Sen. Bob Casey D-Pa., Gov. Tom Wolf, and former President Bill Clinton, stands on stage at her presidential primary election night rally, Tuesday, April 26, 2016, in Philadelphia.
More than 100,000 noncitizens are registered to vote in Pennsylvania alone, according to testimony submitted Monday in a lawsuit demanding the state come clean about the extent of its problems.

The Public Interest Legal Foundation, which has identified similar noncitizen voting problems in studies of Virginia and New Jersey, said Pennsylvania officials have admitted noncitizens have been registering and voting in the state "for decades."

But state officials have stonewalled PILF requests for access to the data that could expose the problem, the group says in a lawsuit filed in federal court in Harrisburg.

"For months, Pennsylvania bureaucrats have concealed facts about noncitizens registering and voting - that ends today," PILF President and General Counsel J. Christian Adams said.

Comment: The Democrats are highly motivated to push lax voting law enforcement and blanket amnesty for illegal immigrants. They want to control large voting blocks in future elections/

Global welfare creating the problems it seeks to fix: UK charity sector rocked by 'sex abuse', prostitution scandals

oxfam
© Reuters/ Peter Nicholls
The UK charity sector has been rocked by claims of sexual abuse, misconduct and mistreatment by its staff all around the world.

Bombshell revelations have rained over the sector in recent weeks, after Oxfam was initially accused of abuse in Haiti. Now, charities that have become household names in Britain are being shoved under the spotlight and investigated for abuses of the world's most vulnerable people. Stories have spiraled and donors have been left reeling.

A staggering 22 aid organizations signed a letter which apologized for what has unraveled as a massive failure to deal with abuse in the sector. ActionAid UK, Christian Aid, Cafod, Care International UK, and Voluntary Service Overseas, as well as Oxfam, Save the Children and others were among those named. Here's a rundown of those receiving our direct debits - and what they are accused of...

Oxfam

During a nine-year period, 268 'safeguarding incidents' were reported to Oxfam, including horror stories involving staff in Africa. Oxfam GB senior staff are said to have allowed Haitian survivors of the 2010 earthquake to be paid for sex, while some even hosted parties with prostitutes.
Roland van Hauwermeiren, a Belgian aid official, admitted that sex workers visited his residence; while six other men also left the charity. An exclusive by The Times has spiraled and led to whistleblowers coming forward to share their tales of abuse.

Comment: So basically, aside from the possible sexual abuse of children in the case of "Save the Children", these scandals seem to center around prostitution. It's ironic: many feminists are pro-prostitution because it "empowers" women sexually and economically.

The pointless Schiff memo

Adam Schiff Democrat House Intelligence Committee
© Cliff Owen
The House Intelligence Committee's ranking member, Rep. Adam Schiff, D-Calif., has said there is “circumstantial evidence of collusion” between members of the Donald Trump presidential campaign and the Russian efforts to meddle in the U.S. election.
The excruciating quandary President Trump presents to the nation is dragging the sad remnant of the thinking class ever-deeper into a netherworld of desperation, paranoia, and mendacity that may exceed even their own official fantasies about the enemy in the White House.

Everything about the lumbering, blundering occupant of 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue drives his Dem/Prog opponents - or #Resistance, if you will - plumb batshit: his previous incarnations as a shady NYC real estate schmeikler, as a TV clown, as a business deadbeat, as a self-described pussy-grabber... his vulgar casinos, his mystifying hair-do, his baggy suits and dangling neckties, his arrant, childish, needless lying about trivialities, his intemperate tweets, his unappetizing associates, his loutish behavior in foreign lands, his fractured, tortured syntax, his obvious insincerity, his sneery facial contortions... and lots lots more - and of course that doesn't even touch the actual policy positions he struggles to articulate. In sum, Trump represents such a monumentally grotesque embarrassment to the permanent Washington establishment that they will pay any price, bear any burden, meet any hardship, support any friend, oppose any foe, in order to assure the removal of this odious caitiff.

And in the process abandon all reason and decency.

Comment: Mr. Kunstler might want to consider that his litany of complaints about Trump may be the result of the images served up by a hostile media. The so-called #Resistance is really the machinations of the Deep State/MIC that would have continued unimpeded had Killary been elected. President Trump was elected on a platform of no more nation building, rapprochement with Russia, and a focus on domestic affairs, which includes getting a grip on illegal immigration. His private demeanor is much different.

Monica Lewinsky: #MeToo - My relationship with Bill began with "gross abuse of power"

monica lewinsky
© AP Photo/Lionel Cironneau, File
Monica Lewinsky now believes her affair with former President Bill Clinton started with "a gross abuse of power" in the wake of the #MeToo sexual misconduct movement,

"I am in awe of the sheer courage of the women who have stood up and begun to confront entrenched beliefs and institutions," Lewinsky wrote in Vanity Fair ahead of the 20th anniversary this March of independent counsel Ken Starr's investigation which expanded to include her relationship with president.

Lewinsky argued "something fundamentally changed in our society in 1998," when the affair first came to light, "and it is changing again as we enter in the second year of the Trump presidency."

But she acknowledged she was still unsure where she "fit in personally" within the movement.

"There are many more women and men whose voices and stories need to be heard before mine," Lewinsky continued. "There are even some people who feel my White House experiences don't have a place in this movement, as what transpired between Bill Clinton and myself was not sexual assault, although we now recognize that it constituted a gross abuse of power."

Comment: Women tend to be attracted to men who are above them on the hierarchy of success. In other words, men who have power. Thus the other side of the equation also tends to be true: men tend to attract women below them in the power hierarchy. What #MeToo has done is to pathologize this aspect of basic human sexuality. Actually, it pathologizes only the men's role, painting all women in this dynamic as passive, innocent victims of men's patriarchal power.

Lewinsky admits that she didn't see anything wrong with her consensual relationship with Bill at the time. It's only in retrospect that she sees it as an "abuse of power" on his part, and a "gross" one at that. No mention of her role in their adulterous relationship, her attraction to his success, and her willingness to consent. It takes two to tango in a consensual relationship.

The net result of all this? Anytime a subordinate woman "gets" a successful, powerful man, it is an abuse of power on the man's part. Full stop. Female hypergamy has nothing to do with it. And that pretty much makes the majority of men guilty.
