Society's Child
"We are extremely concerned when force is used by one of our officers on a child of this age," Isaac said in a news release.
The officer had been called to investigate reports of several young girls stealing items from the Kennard Avenue Kroger when he spotted the 11-year-old walking away with a backpack full of items, according to the release and Lt. Steve Saunders. She refused to stop after being verbally warned, and the officer stunned her with the Taser.
Apple, Google, Facebook and Spotify severely restricted the reach of Mr. Jones and Infowars, his right-wing site that has been a leading peddler of false information online. Mr. Jones and Infowars have used social media for years to spread dark and bizarre theories, such as that the Sandy Hook school shooting was a hoax and that Democrats run a global child-sex ring. Apple made its move on Sunday and the others followed on Monday.
The actions, one of the tech companies' most aggressive efforts against misinformation, highlighted a difficult dilemma for their businesses. They have long desired to combat misinformation online, but they have also been reluctant to be arbiters of truth.
Comment: Alex Jones is certainly not a bastion of truth in the current political landscape which makes it awkward for some to get behind calling out this injustice for fear of being associated with Jones or approving of his opinions. But remember that censorship often sneaks in in exactly this way - first going for the radicals few align themselves with, and slowly going further along the spectrum until the reasonable voices are similarly silenced. Those who don't voice their dissent now will find it's too late once their own speech is being threatened.

The book chapter, "When a Man's Home is Not a Castle: Hegemonic Masculinity Among Men Experiencing Homelessness," was published last Wednesday by Professor Erin Dej, in a book she co-edited on patriarchy in psychiatric wards and homeless shelters.
The goal of her research, she explains, was to "assess the ways hypermasculinity is performed among men experiencing homelessness." And to do this, Dej interviewed 27 homeless men and spent and additional 296 hours spying on them in homeless shelters.
While research on vulnerable people typically requires informed consent and approval by an ethics board, it is unclear if Dej sought this. She declined to comment on this when emailed by PJ Media, and her research makes no mention of ethics review.
Comment: Let's get this straight - a relatively wealthy and privileged 'academic' targets society's most vulnerable and downtrodden people to blame them for their 'oppressive masculinity'? Feminism is no longer a mask for predation; it is an open platform for it.
The five-member city council approved a proposal put forth by West Hollywood Mayor Pro Tempore John D'Amico and Councilwoman Lindsey Horvath, who called for the removal of the star, US media report. Both D'Amico and Horvath said the marker had to be removed "due to [Trump's] disturbing treatment of women and other actions."
Ahead of the vote on Monday, West Hollywood City Council said they were following the steps of the American film industry, which suspended "certain members of the entertainment community... due to their actions toward women."
We call on everyone to see that creating a largely-mythical anti-Semitism 'crisis' in the Labour Party is one of the few tools left to ailing and desperate establishment hacks wanting to smear Corbyn and maintain UK support for Israel, no matter how many Palestinians the Israeli army slaughters, or how many houses, schools, and hospitals Israeli jets destroy in Gaza. In the face of this, Zionist groups with a history of uncritical support for Israel claim that Corbyn presents an existential threat to British Jews? This is obscene, hypocritical scaremongering.
"Things need to change, current orders should be reordered," the former leader of the Islamic Republic tweeted on Monday, hours before the first round of the US sanctions came into effect.
These allegations, and there's many more of them, have a number of things in common. Most importantly, they serve to change your mind. They serve to change your perception of reality. They seek to whip up your support for the very people and forces that launch them into the media.
Something else they have in common is that none of them has ever been proven, even though some of them are getting on in years. But they were never meant to be proven, simply because they don't have to be. If your mind is a fertile breeding ground for such allegations, all that needs to be done is plant a seed, and plant another, and then water them day after day by repeating the allegations and make them 'yummier', until they sprout a plant or a tree 'spontaneously'.
The peculiar story happened in Irkutsk region in Western Siberia. According to a police report, six people in the city of Angarsk, where a large oil refinement center is located, joined forces to tap into a major oil pipeline.
The scheme was not of the get-rich-quick kind however. Stealing oil for a significant gain would require time, so the gang needed to reach the closely monitored pipeline undetected. They got some shovels and spent two years digging a tunnel from a concealed location.
The report noted at the time that
"These documents for the first time demonstrate that the US government has worked behind the scenes on over 800 major movies and more than 1,000 TV titles."Reviewing the ever expanding list, the average movie watcher might be in for a shock at what films are actually included - there are the more predictable ones like Black Hawk Down, Zero Dark Thirty, and Lone Survivor; but also entirely unexpected ones that apparently needed the military-industrial complex's propaganda touch like Earnest Saves Christmas, Karate Kid 2, The Silence of the Lambs, Twister, the Iron Man movies, and more recently Pitch Perfect 3.
The body of the 9-year-old, showing signs of violent death, was discovered in Urazovo village on July 31. Shortly after that a man from the local gypsy community was detained on suspicion of committing the crime and charged with murder and rape. He confessed to the crime.
The investigators believe the perpetrator spotted the girl at a village store a day before that. The 30-year-old then followed the child and attacked her in a quiet place, raping and strangling his victim.
The villagers were outraged after they learned of the tragedy and called on the police to hand the rapist over to them. When their demand was rejected, the people vowed to burn down the gypsy homes.
