This follows the announcement that Occupy Perth, a group affiliated with protesters in the United States who caused havoc on the Brooklyn Bridge on the weekend, were planning to protest during CHOGM.
Police arrested 700 people as a result of the protest by Occupy Wall Street.
Counter Terrorism and State Protection's assistant commissioner Duane Bell said WA Police were aware of many groups planning to protest at CHOGM.
"We do not expect to see any large scale public order issues during CHOGM 2011, however it is our responsibility to be prepared for any incident that takes place as we have a duty to protect the visiting dignitaries and the community," he said.

This was unanimously voted on by all members of Occupy Wall Street last night, around 8pm, Sept 29. It is our first official document for release. Declaration of the Occupation of New York City
As we gather together in solidarity to express a feeling of mass injustice, we must not lose sight of what brought us together. We write so that all people who feel wronged by the corporate forces of the world can know that we are your allies.
As one people, united, we acknowledge the reality: that the future of the human race requires the cooperation of its members; that our system must protect our rights, and upon corruption of that system, it is up to the individuals to protect their own rights, and those of their neighbors; that a democratic government derives its just power from the people, but corporations do not seek consent to extract wealth from the people and the Earth; and that no true democracy is attainable when the process is determined by economic power. We come to you at a time when corporations, which place profit over people, self-interest over justice, and oppression over equality, run our governments. We have peaceably assembled here, as is our right, to let these facts be known.

The 700-pound male pilot whale was discovered on a beach at Allenhurst, N.J., on Sept. 24, The Star-Ledger reported.
A gunshot wound to the animal's jaw caused an infection that prevented it from eating, according to scientists.
"It literally died of starvation," Bob Schoelkopf, founding director of the Marine Mammal Stranding Center in Brigantine, said.
"It probably traveled quite a distance before it became so weak that it washed ashore," he added.
Authorities were appealing to the public for information.
Mogadishu, Somalia - Al-Qaida-linked militants launched their deadliest single bomb attack ever in Somalia on Tuesday, killing at least 70 people and demonstrating how the group that blocked aid to famine victims can still mount devastating violence even after most of its fighters fled the capital in August.

The thunderous blast covered the city in dust more than a half-mile away, leaving blackened corpses sprawled on the debris-strewn street amid burning vehicles. One woman used a blue plastic bucket to pour water on a smoldering body.
Even in a city mired in war and anarchy for two decades, Tuesday's attack by the al-Shabab group horrified rescue workers. Ali Abdullahi, a nurse at the city's Medina Hospital, said countless victims were being brought in with amputated limbs and burns.
"It is the most awful tragedy I have ever seen," he said. "Imagine dozens are being brought here minute by minute. Most of the wounded people are unconscious and others have their faces blackened by smoke and heat."
Duniya Salad sobbed over her brother's burnt body after he died while undergoing treatment at the hospital.
"They killed him before he started university! Why was he killed? Damn to al-Shabab," she said.

New Orleans - Companies involved in the use of the dispersant Corexit during the Deepwater Horizon oil spill last year cannot get immunity from what may be hundreds of thousands of personal injury claims, a federal judge ruled.
After the Deepwater Horizon oil-drilling rig exploded on April 20, 2010, unleashing the worst oil spill in U.S. history, BP directed third-party cleanup workers to spray and inject more than 1.8 million gallons of Corexit into oil in the Gulf of Mexico. Early on, the Environmental Protection Agency told BP to stop using Corexit because of the dispersant's known toxicity, but BP objected and continued to use the chemical.
Part of the massive multidistrict litigation for the oil spill involves claims by those who have allegedly suffered injuries from exposure to Corexit.
The dispersant's manufacturer, Nalco, tried to dismiss these claims by noting that it merely followed orders passed down from the president of the United States in distributing the highly toxic chemical. Corexit is banned in several counties including the U.K. because of its known toxicity. If Nalco had been following federal orders, it could have sought immunity under two separate rules: the government contractor defense and a provision of the Clean Water Act (CWA) that protects any private contractor following orders from the federal government.

The news is welcome, particularly as people continue to learn more about Wall Street and New York City and the nature of the people in the upper echelons. Not only have Americans watched the players on Wall Street shove the nation's future into their wallets, but there are more specific reasons that the police are behaving in a corrupt manner, they're being paid off by groups like JPMorgan Chase, which recently donated:

For a four-year period in the '70s, the poorest families in Dauphin, Manitoba, were granted a guaranteed minimum income by the federal and provincial governments. Thirty-five years later all that remains of the experiment are 2,000 boxes of documents that have gathered dust in the Canadian archives building in Winnipeg.
Until now little has been known about what unfolded over those four years in the small rural town, since the government locked away the data that had been collected and prevented it from being analyzed.

Comment: Evidence - Why is it always lacking? "Al-Shabab includes militant veterans of the Afghanistan and Iraq conflicts who have trained Somalis.." Says Who! We're always stuck taking someones word. Why is there never a link to the so-called Militants website? How is it the web site exists if the CIA and other alphabet agencies are monitoring such things? There are always so many "just take our word for it" points but never any hard evidence. For example, how did those WMD's in Iraq turn out? There was loads of evidence, they said. All of these poor people caught in the cross-fire of one nations, groups, army's desire for control, greed.., how heart-wrenching!
