'Complete idiot' cop gets high after stealing chocolate cannabis during pot shop raid

The cop and his partner stole chocolate infused with cannabis oil.
'Weed is harmless', advocates will eagerly tell you, but it certainly wasn't for a Canadian police officer who has found himself jobless and branded an "idiot" after eating a marijuana-laced chocolate bar during a pot-shop raid.

Vittorio Dominelli grabbed several cannabis oil infused snacks after his team raided an illegal marijuana shop in Toronto in January. While on surveillance duty following the operation the 36-year-old and his partner talked about how they had never tried the drug while discussing Canada's then-looming pot legalization.

One thing led to another and before long the two cops had wolfed down eight squares of one of the bars. On Friday, a Canadian court heard that after about 20 minutes the drugs hit Dominelli "like a ton of bricks."

"He was sweating heavily and believed he was going to pass out," Crown attorney Philip Perlmutter said, The Globe and Mail reports.
He assumed it would be a minor mellow feeling. He did not think consuming a small amount would impair each officer.
Things quickly spiraled out of control and the court heard that Dominelli pleaded with his partner to call for help because he thought he was going to die. When she refused he snatched the radio from her, ran up the street and breathlessly told the dispatcher to send an ambulance.

A Yuma Station camera operator observed a large group of 82 illegal aliens crossing from Mexico into the U.S. by climbing over the legacy “landing mat border wall” east of the San Luis Port of Entry.
Yuma Sector Border Patrol agents apprehended 450 migrants, mostly from Central America, who illegally crossed the border on Tuesday and Wednesday. The migrants exploited weaknesses in older technology to cross over and burrow under the existing barrier.

During a two-day period beginning on November 6, agents assigned to the Yuma Station apprehended large groups of migrants who illegally crossed the border east of the San Luis Port of Entry. The nearly 45o migrants who mostly travelled to the U.S. from Central America ranged in age from two-years-old to 48, according to information provided to Breitbart News by Yuma Sector Border Patrol officials.

A Yuma Station camera operator observed a large group of 82 illegal aliens crossing from Mexico into the U.S. by climbing over the legacy "landing mat border wall" east of the San Luis Port of Entry, officials stated. The operator dispatched agents to respond to the area. When they arrived, the group surrendered to the agents. During an immigration interview, the agents learned the migrants were mostly family units from Guatemala (79) and El Salvador (3) ranging in age from two to 48-years-old.

Israeli soldiers & illegal settlers invade Palestinian village, fire live rounds at children during school celebration

IDF invades Palestinian school

Israeli soldiers, and many illegal colonialist settlers, surrounded the area, before the army attacked the children, staffers and families
Israeli soldiers invaded Thursday, Beit Ta'mar Palestinian village, east of the West Bank city of Bethlehem, and started firing live rounds at students, teachers and officials of the Ministry of Education, during a school celebration.

Media sources said the soldiers, and many illegal colonialist settlers, surrounded the area, before the army attacked the children, staffers and families, who were celebrating, singing and performing Dabka, in the Tahadi Basic School in the village.

The very presence of the soldiers and the settlers caused fear in many children, who started crying before the soldiers fired many gas bombs and concussion grenades at the school, resulting in injuries, while many children suffered anxiety attacks.

'Humanities hijacked by ideologues': Jordan Peterson excoriates Western academia

Jordan Peterson
In her efforts to trade punches with the popular intellectual, a GQ journalist bit off more than she could chew, leaving with her tail between her legs

For nearly two hours, University of Toronto Professor of Psychology and bestselling author Jordan Peterson sat down with New Statesman journalist and feminist writer Helen Lewis with the intention of discussing his rise to prominence, his book 12 Rules for Life, and his thoughts on gender, feminism, and the concept of patriarchy. In reality, despite her seemingly welcoming and professional attitude, what took place was Lewis's absolute intellectual meltdown.

From the outset it is clear that she has a singular goal in mind: to break the powerful intellect before her and catch him in a contradiction. This would surely be the big "public" win left-leaning intellectuals needed.

A new synagogue has been opened in the Russian city of Kaliningrad on the spot of another Jewish place of worship, destroyed by the Nazis during the so-called Night of Broken Glass (Kristallnacht) in 1938.

"On this spot, there used to be the Konigsberg synagogue, which was torched on the night of November 09-10, 1938. Later, Jews, who remained in the city, were forced by the Nazi authorities to dismantle the building and clear the site so that barracks for craftsmen, who were brought from concentration camps to work in the city, could be erected," Aleksandr Boroda, president of the Federation of Jewish Communities of Russia, said at the ceremony.

Paypal has suspended several accounts related to far-right and far-left political groups in a political balancing act aimed at deplatforming "extremist views", leading some to question the basis of these and other bans.

Paypal has suspended three accounts tied to left-wing militant Antifa groups and two tied to the far-right organization Proud Boys, a company spokesman said, calling it an effort to strike a "balance between upholding free expression and open dialogue and protecting principles of tolerance, diversity and respect."

The accounts of "Proud Boys" as well as the private account of group founder Gavin McInnes were removed, as well as the accounts of Atlanta Antifa, Antifa Sacramento and the Anti-Fascist Network, a Paypal spokesman told Newsweek.

Comment: Perhaps Paypal is hedging its political bets with this move.

The Netherlands became, along with Belgium, the first country in the world to legalise so-called mercy killing, but it can only be carried out by doctors and under very strict conditions.
Dutch authorities are prosecuting a doctor for euthanising an elderly woman with dementia in the first case of its kind since the practice was legalised in 2002, officials said Friday.

The female doctor, who was not named, allegedly put a sleeping drug into the 74-year-old woman's coffee and had to ask her family to hold her down when she began to struggle.

The Netherlands and neighbouring Belgium became the first countries in the world to legalise so-called mercy killing, but it can only be carried out by doctors and under very strict conditions.

Prosecutors said the doctor in the case "overstepped the mark" with the nursing home patient, who had written a will saying she wanted to die but did not clearly say so at the time of her death.

FEMEN activists pose for media at the Arc de Triomphe
Three FEMEN activists were arrested in Paris on Saturday after an early morning action under the Arc de Triomphe. They blasted world leaders gathering in the city to mark the end of World War One as hypocrites and "war criminals."

The stunt started at 8.00 AM with the topless radical feminists jumping out of a car at the Place de l'Etoile and climbing the barriers of the platform, where 70 world leaders are expected to attend a ceremony marking the centenary of the war's armistice on Sunday.

Under the arc lies the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, which plays host to an annual commemoration event on every November 11, marking the anniversary of the 1918 armistice signed by Germany and the Entente Powers.

Comment: The irony is that today it's the left, with whom these women are most likely aligned, who are expressing the largest amount of fascist tendencies.

Ideological persecution at University Campuses: Students are terrified to speak their minds

Fear of offending or being singled out drives self-censorship.
College diversity and inclusion

In November 2016 I led a first-year political science tutorial at the University of Toronto. Since we were discussing the social construction of identities, I thought I'd get the students to consider whether all identities are socially constructed and, if not, where we draw the line. I told them about a video of a tall white man in his thirties who asked students at a different university how they'd react if he said to them that he identified, first, as a woman, then as black, then as short, then as Chinese, and finally as five years old. I could tell that my students were curious about why it seemed easier to accept the idea that gender is socially constructed, a matter of free choice, than it did to think the same thing about age and the other characteristics. No one was quite willing to see the man as a short, black, five-year-old Chinese girl.

Pooing troops, empty bars, sinking frigate and other takeaways from NATO's largest drills

From traffic accidents to troops relieving themselves in public places and bars left without beer, this year's edition of NATO-led Trident Juncture drills has every chance to leave lasting memories in Norway and beyond.

Trident Juncture 2018 was by far the largest exercise hosted by Norway since the end of the Cold War and the largest NATO has held in decades. Involving some 50,000 troops from 31 countries, about 10,000 combat vehicles and 250, the Trident Juncture was to hone the troops' combat skills in harsh Nordic climate - the one that probably led to some embarrassing setbacks.
