Tennessee Republicans have introduced two new bills aimed at protecting innocents from mutilation and exposure to hyper-sexualized public performances. According to conservative columnist Matt Walsh, who had a hand in one of the two bills, "We're playing offense here."

'Protecting Children from Gender Mutilation Act'

This week, Tennessee Senate Majority Leader Jack Johnson (R-Franklin) and state House Majority Leader William Lamberth (R-Portland) — both newly reelected — introduced Senate / House Bill 1, entitled "Protecting Children from Gender Mutilation Act."

Over the past month, technology companies have laid off tens of thousands of employees. And the momentum in layoffs only appears to be worsening.

According to a new report via NYTimes this morning, Amazon could add to the count this week as approximately 10,000 people in corporate and technology jobs will be slashed, in what could be the most significant job cut in the company's history.

People with direct knowledge of the layoff plan said job cuts would be focused on Amazon's devices organization, including the voice-assistant Alexa, its retail division, and human resources.

Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene blasts obsession with Putin among US elites

The US government should focus its military efforts on drug cartels instead of obsessing over Russian President Vladimir Putin, Republican Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene has suggested on Twitter, arguing that if Washington gets its energy security in order, its national security will follow.

"Treat the cartels like you want to treat Putin," Greene tweeted, pointing out that criminal gangs were "making billions trafficking humans and drugs killing over 300 Americans [per] day."

The country should also prioritize its domestic oil and gas industry in order to "strengthen national security and deter foes," she continued.

Democracy dies when Americans stop scrutinizing rigged elections

As we witness the mass breakdown of voting machines on the single day of the year they're supposed to work, cameras going down in vote-counting offices, and the endless drip-drip of ballot dumps — curiously in the most hotly-contested races and most critical precincts for political control in the country — remember that this is all commonplace and normal. And if you think otherwise, you're not only unhinged, but you might be a domestic terrorist.

This is the gaslighting we have been getting from our political class and the media over the last two federal election cycles. It is purposeful propaganda meant to obscure the truth that our betters have fundamentally transformed voting policies and practices, and then exploited the new rules to the maximum extent.

The reality is that those skeptical about the integrity in our brave new election world are not a "threat to democracy." They are defenders of the republic. America is in serious danger if the public unquestioningly accepts the fact that authorities made radical changes, sometimes unduly and under cover of crisis, that made less safe, secure, or at minimum trustworthy the processes by which we elect our representatives.

For decades we voted one way: In-person, with identification, on a singular Election Day, usually with rudimentary, analog tools. With rare exceptions, we received the results on Election Night. In the 2020 election, that all changed. For the first time in modern history, we had a mass mail-in election, held over the course of weeks, much of it automated. The results came in over a period of days, not hours.

Failed crypto exchange FTX was money laundering operation - report

FTX took in millions in donations for Ukraine but allegedly re-routed sums back to US politicians, according to Gateway Pundit.

Samuel Bankman-Fried, the founder of failed cryptocurrency exchange FTX, allegedly laundered billions of dollars through Ukraine by setting up his company as the central clearinghouse for all crypto donations to Kiev's war effort, according to the Gateway Pundit. Democratic politicians sending aid to Ukraine would see their money come back in the form of donations through FTX, the outlet claimed.

FTX launched crypto donation platform Aid for Ukraine in March, setting itself up as the central clearing house for all cryptocurrency donations to Kiev's war effort. While the exchange was supposed to route those donations to the National Bank of Ukraine, the report suggests it funneled at least some of the money back to the US through political donations. Bankman-Fried was the second-largest donor to the Democratic Party for the midterms, pouring some $38 million into candidates' coffers in 2022 alone.

Police are investigating a University of Manchester student, Karl Andersson (pictured), and his controversial research paper to see if any child pornography laws were broken
A police investigation has been launched to establish if a University of Manchester student broke child pornography laws by publishing a research paper about how he masturbated to extreme comics featuring young boys.

A parliamentary committee also heard a representative of the university reveal that no checks were carried out before they accepted PHD student Karl Andersson.

Mr Andersson was researching subcultural Japanese comics that depict the sexual encounters of young boys, he claims to have masturbated to the same subject matter for three months and made notes on each session.

Comment: This person is likely using his research as a guise to carry out his pathological and perverse desires, and it serves as another example of the total degeneration of academia and our society at large. It's no surprise he is a voracious reader of Michel Foucault:

The people in Spain's capital have held a massive rally, warning against a government plan to overhaul regional primary care services, saying its impact on the local healthcare system would be destructive.

Hundreds of thousands of demonstrators rallied in Madrid on Sunday to defend the region's primary care services. The protesters warned the government that plans to overhaul the system would "destroy" local healthcare.
According to local media, huge crowds rallied at four points across the Spanish capital and marched on city hall in a mass protest under the slogan: "Madrid rallies in support of public healthcare and against the plan to destroy primary care services."

Comment: The UK's NHS workers, which have also been suffering under decades of corruption and incompetence, are also threatening to strike in the next few weeks. Meanwhile over in France, Italy, and Belgium there have been national strikes over similar issues, and the resulting 'suffocating' inflation.

Big Picture: 2022 midterm elections highlight the distinct difference between ballots and votes

As the political discussion centers on the 2022 wins and losses from the midterm election, one thing that stands out in similarity to the 2020 general election is the difference between ballots and votes. It appears in some states this is the 'new normal.'

Where votes were the focus, the Biden administration suffered losses. Where ballots were the focus, the Biden administration won.

Perhaps the two states most reflective of 'ballots' being more important than 'votes' are Michigan and Pennsylvania. Despite negative polling and public opinion toward two specific candidates in those states, Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer and Pennsylvania Senate candidate John Fetterman achieved victories.

Whitmer and Fetterman were not campaigning for votes, that is old school. Instead, the machinery behind both candidates focused on the modern path. The Democrat machines in both states focused on ballot collection and ignored the irrelevant votes as cast.

Dem megadonor Bankman-Fried, targeted by federal investigation, bankrolled lawmakers overseeing agency he was lobbying

Sam Bankman-Fried, prolific Democratic donor and ex-CEO of now-bankrupt cryptocurrency exchange FTX, funded the campaigns of members of Congress overseeing the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), one of the key bodies tasked with regulating the crypto industry and the subject of Bankman-Fried's aggressive lobbying.

Bankman-Fried's FTX is currently under investigation by the CFTC and the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) after Bankman-Fried allegedly moved $10 billion in client assets from his crypto exchange to his trading firm Alameda Research, and a liquidity crisis at his exchange which prompted the company to file for bankruptcy. However, prior to the agency's probe, Bankman-Fried aggressively courted the CFTC - and funded several key lawmakers charged with overseeing the agency, pouring cash into their campaign coffers.

The CFTC is charged with regulating certain elements of the crypto marketplace, including digital assets that are commodities as well as crypto exchanges and clearinghouses. The agency is overseen by the Senate and House Agriculture Committees, with the former tasked with approving CFTC commissioners nominated by the president.
