Digital ID and our obsession with "identity"

"I am not a number. I am a free man."
#6, The Prisoner
In the 1960s TV show, The Prisoner, Patrick McGoohan's character is an unnamed British intelligence agent who resigns from his job for reasons never explained, is gassed, and wakes up imprisoned in a deceptively lovely place called The Village.

He is assigned the number Six to identify him. In the first episode, he meets with number Two, who tells him, "The information in your head is priceless. I don't know if you realize how valuable a property you are."

In that first meeting, number Six finds out that "they" have been monitoring him his whole life. Number Two tells him, 'There's not much we don't know about you, but one likes to know everything."

the prisoner
This obsession with "knowing" has been going on for thousands of years. To be reduced to a number so that we can be more easily studied and categorized. To lose our individuality, while at the same time being told we are important because of the information we carry inside of us. What does that do to a person's sense of self?

How media and the medical establishment suppressed (and are still suppressing) COVID heterodoxy

covid vaccine
Last month, the peer-reviewed journal Minerva: A Review of Science, Learning, and Policy published an important article on COVID-related censorship. I've written about it already here. The researchers introduced their article by defining some terms, recalling certain COVID controversies, and noting how multiple respected medical professionals were hurt in the fallout of the pandemic controversy.

They went on to describe the specific experiences of their study participants, including 13 established doctors, scientists, and medical professionals who were censored, suppressed, or otherwise punished for expressing dissent with regard to the prevailing COVID-19 orthodoxy. All those who participated have either an MD or PhD in their respective fields, and four have both. These are not, then, conspiracy types or Internet trolls. They are reputable minds who simply transgressed against the "consensus" view, which, as I said in my earlier article, has changed drastically since March 2020.

Standing and Credibility

The researchers kept these participants anonymous to protect them, but emphasized their standing and credibility. In interviews, they gathered firsthand quotes to show just how harsh and brazen the censorship was in some cases, listing the tactics the medical establishment and media used against them. They reported:
Tactics of censorship and suppression described by our respondents include exclusion, derogatory labelling, hostile comments and threatening statements by the media, both mainstream and social; dismissal by the respondents' employers; official inquiries; revocation of medical licenses; lawsuits; and retraction of scientific papers after publication.

Sudden, unexpected deaths exploded in Germany after the Covid vaccine rollout began in 2021, newly released insurance data for 72 million people show.

The number of sudden deaths more than doubled since the vaccine was introduced at the end of 2020, jumping from about 6,000 per quarter to 14,000 currently. The difference, 8,000, means more than 80 people each day are dying suddenly and mysteriously, according to a report on the No Tricks Zone website.

Elon Musk dissolves Twitter's 'Trust And Safety Council' following child exploitation concerns

Twitter announced late Monday that it has disbanded the company's Trust and Safety Council, a board of experts that advised the platform on the "safety" of certain content, following concerns over child exploitation.

The company wrote in an email to board members:
"As Twitter moves into a new phase, we are reevaluating how best to bring external insights into our product and policy development work. As part of this process, we have decided that the Trust and Safety Council is not the best structure to do this. We are grateful for your engagement, advice and collaboration in recent years and wish you every success in the future."
The move comes just days after three members of the board announced their resignation from the positions saying in a press release that
"it is clear from research evidence that, contrary to claims by Elon Musk, the safety and wellbeing of Twitter's users are on the decline."

Comment: Elon Musk takes out the trash.

Russian businessman Viktor Bout has officially become a member of the right-wing Liberal Democratic Party of Russia (LDPR), days after he was exchanged in a prisoner swap for US basketball player Brittney Griner. He was personally handed his membership card by the party's leader during the LDPR's 33rd anniversary on Monday.

"I am sure that Viktor Bout, a strong-willed and courageous person, will take a worthy place in [the party]. Welcome to our ranks," said LDPR leader Leonid Slutsky. He previously stated the businessman would also be invited to a meeting of the Duma (lower house of parliament) Committee on International Affairs and the LDPR faction.

The far-right LDPR is currently the fourth-largest party in the Russian Duma. It was founded by the late firebrand politician Vladimir Zhirinovsky, who passed away earlier this year. The party focuses on conservatism and patriotism and opposes modern neoliberal capitalism as well as Soviet-style communism.

Weapons supplied to Ukraine by NATO countries have allowed Kiev's military to significantly ramp-up attacks on civilian targets in Donbass, a local watchdog has said. The group claims that over 4,500 civilians have been killed and 4,000 injured since Ukrainian forces escalated shelling in mid-February.

"Military terror has escalated beyond all limits after NATO members started supplying weapons to Ukraine," the Joint Center for Control and Coordination (JCCC), a monitoring group that tracks attacks on the Lugansk and Donetsk People's Republics, said on Wednesday.

"We have recorded a four-fold increase in the number of victims among the civilian population," Natalya Shutkina, a representative from the Donetsk People's Republic at the JCCC, said as quoted by TASS.

The JCCC held a press conference on Wednesday during which it showed fragments of Western shells and rockets collected after Ukrainian strikes in Donbass and explained the toll these attacks had taken.

Mohammed Abouagela Masud accused by US of having set timer for bomb that destroyed the Boeing 747, killing 270 people in 1988.

A former Libyan intelligence operative accused of preparing the bomb that brought down Pan Am flight 103 over Lockerbie, Scotland, in 1988 was taken into US custody after being abducted from his home by a notorious warlord and then detained by an armed militia for two weeks, the Guardian has been told.

Mohammed Abouagela Masud appeared briefly in court in Washington DC on Monday, accused of having set the timer for the bomb that destroyed the Boeing 747, killing 270 people in the most deadly terrorist attack to have taken place on British soil.

The US Department of Justice announced it had custody of Masud on the weekend, but gave no details of how he had arrived in the US.

Officials with knowledge of the case in Libya told the Guardian that Masud was seized at his home in the capital's Abu Salem neighbourhood by forces loyal to Abdel Ghani al-Kikili, known as "Gheniwa", who commands the Stability Support Authority (SSA) of the Tripoli-based Government of National Unity (GNU).

Majority of Americans don't want Biden or Trump to run again in 2024, CNBC survey shows

"No thanks!"

That's how majorities of the public responded when the CNBC All-America Economic Survey asked if President Joe Biden or former President Donald Trump should run again for president.

The survey found 61% of the public think Trump should not seek the presidency, compared with 30% who believe he should. And 70% say Biden should not run for a second term with just 19% supporting a run.

Comment: Then clearly this survey was NOT conducted in middle America, where Trump is still extremely popular.

Substantial numbers in each politicians' own party prefer their names not be on the ballot, including 37% of Republicans who don't want Trump to run along with 61% of independents and 88% of Democrats.

Comment: How many Republicans vote in favor of arming and funding Ukraine? Most of them are just as invested in America's ongoing war against Russia as Dems are. Trump wants the servicemen back home and off the Eurasian continent, which is why his own party is out to get him.

For Biden, 57% of Democrats say he shouldn't stand for office in 2024 along with 66% of independents and 86% of Republicans.

Leftists aren't capable of surviving economic collapse - here's why

leftists
There is one factor that constantly stands out as absolutely essential to a person's chances at surviving a crisis event, and that factor is mindset. Experience and training are highly valuable, having proper tools and preps on hand is a huge advantage. But in the end, without mental toughness and the ability to adapt the most prepared person in the world will still likely bite the dust.

Mental toughness is something that can be taught, to a point. This is the entire purpose of basic training methods used in the military: To take mundane details and elevate them in the minds of trainees while wearing them down with physical punishment. The goal is to condition the mind to ignore distraction, to ignore fear and pain while focusing on the task at hand. Failure is not an option in war, just as it is not an option in survival. Those who embrace distraction and embrace failure because they think it will make things easier for them are filtered out of the recruitment pool, or the gene pool.

It is no coincidence that the US military today is dealing with some of the worst recruitment conditions they have ever seen in terms of people being physically and mentally incapable of finishing basic training. The Pentagon currently estimates that 77% of young Americans are unfit for recruitment without a waiver for obesity, drug use and mental health problems. Meaning, Gen Z is so unfit physically and mentally if there was a major war almost 80% of them would be erased from existence.
