Ponerogenesis: Senior official says radical Islam spreading to inland China

Muslims wait to attend Friday prayers at the Dongguan Great Mosque in Xining, Qinghai province, China.
China's religion tsar has warned that foreign-inspired Islamism is expanding throughout China and threatening the "rule of law." Beijing recently ordered residents of a Muslim-majority region to hand in their foreign passports.

Islam in China is often associated with the restive Xinjiang border region, which is home to over 10 million Muslim Uyghurs, but Wang Zuoan, head of the State Administration for Religious Affairs, told 300 religious leaders at the National Congress of the Chinese Islamic Association that "extremism" is now "moving to the inland provinces."

Wang said that it was up to the clerics to become the "front line" in "resisting extremism" and "converting" Muslims to a more moderate form of the religion.

Comment: This would be much easier and more effective if authorities (both religious and political) spread some basic principles of ponerology, e.g., the statistics/demography of subclinical psychopathy and other personality disorders that corrupt political and religious ideologies, and the persuasive techniques they use to recruit new followers.

He urged Muslim communities learn "to use the law to safeguard legal interests, instead of trying to solve problems through illegal actions such as creating disturbances."

Comment: Through 30+ years of overt and covert support for radical Islam, the CIA and its partners have created a Frankenstein monster that continues to fulfil the CIA's covert agenda: destabilizing foreign countries like Russia, China, Iraq, Syria, Libya, Somalia, etc.

World's oldest person at 117 eats only two raw eggs a day, avoids fruit and vegetables

Emma Morano

Emma Morano
Emma Morano, thought to be the world's oldest person and the last to be born in the 1800s, celebrated her 117th birthday on Tuesday, still swearing by her diet of two raw eggs a day.

Morano was born in November 1899, four years before the Wright brothers first took to the air. Her life has spanned three centuries, two World Wars and over 90 Italian governments.

Friends, neighbors and her doctor gathered in her small apartment in the northern town of Verbania, on the shores of Lake Maggiore, to mark the latest milestone, presenting her with a large white birthday cake.

"My life wasn't so nice," she told Reuters TV as she sat in an armchair by her window, a white shawl over her shoulders. "I worked in a factory until I was 65, then that was that."

A plane carrying Brazil's Chapecoense football team has crashed in Colombia. At least six of the 81 passengers have reportedly survived, with some media outlets citing 13 survivors.

However, the mayor of the municipality of La Ceja, Elkin Ospina, said the number of those killed is believed to be 25, indicating a much larger number of survivors.

Sputnik reported that six people survived the crash, citing José María Córdova International Airport in Rionegro, where the plane was traveling to.

Other reports say that up to 10 people have survived, with the commander of La Union fire department stating that 10 people were initially evacuated from the scene.

Alan Ruschel, a defender for Chapecoense, is among the survivors and has arrived at a nearby hospital, according to 360 Radio Colombia. He has been taken to radiology in stable condition.

Goalkeepers Marcos Danilo and Jakson Follmann have also survived, along with a flight attendant.

Comment: Update (10.50 CET):

Police director General José Acevedo Ossa has said 75 people died in the crash. He added that the search has been suspended because there are no more survivors at the site. A civil aviation official also said a high death toll from the crash is "undeniable," stating that there are six confirmed survivors.

Update: Brazilian football team took doomed flight after being denied charter request
Brazilian football team Chapecoense took the flight which crashed near Medellin, Colombia only after their request for a charter plane was rejected by Brazil's civil aviation authority.

The team had requested to fly directly from Brazil to Colombia on a charter flight, but Brazil's civil aviation authority ANAC rejected the request because charter flights can be used only if the aircraft involved is registered in the countries of departure or arrival.

ANAC explained in a statement that they had received a request for LaMia Airlines to charter a flight for the team from Brazil to Colombia on Monday but the request was denied.

"The request was denied based on the Brazilian Aeronautical Code and the Chicago Convention, which deals with air service agreements between countries," the statement reads, adding that as LaMia Airlines is a Bolivian company, it could not be the company to charter such a flight.

The agency said that"transport could be done by Brazilian airline and/ or Colombian, whichever the service contractor chose, in accordance with international agreements."

Unable to organize the charter, the team instead left Brazil from Sao Paulo Guarulhos International Airport before then taking flight LMI 2933 from Santa Cruz, Bolivia that crashed on its way to Medellin, Colombia, killing up to 75 of the 81 people on board.

The aircraft is said to have undergone an inspection before leaving Bolivia and no issues were detected.

The tyranny at Standing Rock: The government's divide-and-conquer strategy is working, martial law in action

Divide and conquer
What we're witnessing at Standing Rock, where activists have gathered to protest the Dakota Access Pipeline construction on Native American land, is just the latest incarnation of the government's battle plan for stamping out any sparks of resistance and keeping the populace under control: battlefield tactics, military weaponry and a complete suspension of the Constitution.

Militarized police. Riot and camouflage gear. Armored vehicles. Mass arrests. Pepper spray. Tear gas. Batons. Strip searches. Drones. Less-than-lethal weapons unleashed with deadly force. Rubber bullets. Water cannons. Concussion grenades. Arrests of journalists. Intimidation tactics. Brute force.

This is what martial law looks like, when a government disregards constitutional freedoms and imposes its will through military force.

Only this is martial law without any government body having to declare it.

Chris Hedges: The Standing Rock resistance is a model to be replicated throughout the US

Environmental activists and Native Americans from 200 tribes are waging a determined last-ditch battle to stop the construction of the Dakota Access Pipeline. Chris Hedges, host of RT America's On Contact, visited the water protectors' resistance camp.

Thousands of protesters are camping out near Cannon Ball, North Dakota, facing off against police, private security contractors, and the Army Corps of Engineers. The company behind the Dakota Access Pipeline (DAPL) intends to run the pipes under Lake Oahe, an artificial lake created by the Army on the Missouri River - and the Standing Rock Sioux Nation's sole source of drinking water.

"Go back to when we were put on reservations," Kandi Mossett, an activist with the Indigenous Environmental Network, told Hedges. "The Standing Rock tribe never ceded this land."

Among the many Native American banners, several upside-down US flags are flying over the encampment. Mossett explained they symbolized the Natives' distress.

Stats Canada poll: Canadian military women report widespread sexual assault

Gen. Jonathan Vance, chief of the Canadian defense staff, speaking on Monday about a report showing that more than a quarter of women in the Canadian military have been sexually assaulted during their careers.
More than a quarter of women in the Canadian military have been sexually assaulted during their careers, according to a survey by the government's statistical agency.

The survey, conducted by Statistics Canada and released on Monday, was commissioned by the armed forces and followed a scathing 2015 report that found that the culture of the military was "hostile to women and L.G.T.B.Q. members and conducive to more serious incidents" involving sexual harassment and assault.

But only 23 percent of those who said they had been assaulted reported what had happened, most often "to their military supervisor," according to Statistics Canada. Just 7 percent filed reports with the military police or the Canadian Forces National Investigation Service.

"The fact that some won't report or haven't reported or are concerned that their report won't be taken seriously is a huge concern for me," Gen. Jonathan Vance, the chief of the defense staff, said at a news conference on Monday. "There will not be negative consequences. The negative consequences will be for all those who are perpetrators, not those who report."

The survey puts hard numbers to the findings of the 2015 report by Marie Deschamps, a retired justice of the Supreme Court of Canada. Since the release of that report, General Vance has introduced several measures to eliminate inappropriate sexual activity and, separately, to increase the number of women in the military.

Comment: Who will report their superior for assault when that individual holds one's career in their hands? Or if the victim does speak out, they are treated like a pariah. It's a problem in militaries around the world.

Cologne authorities may deploy helicopters, better CCTV cameras and mounted police during the upcoming New Year celebrations in order to prevent a repeat of the mass sexual assaults that rocked the city on New Year's Eve last year.

The report is the end result of Project Silvester (the German name for New Year's Eve celebrations), where a group of experts and federal police, under control of Federal Criminal Police Office, analyzed what happened in Cologne during last year's festivities.

The document will be discussed at a conference of interior ministries on Tuesday. A copy of the 60-page document was obtained by Cologne's Express newspaper.

LA sheriff's deputies sent to prison for beating mentally ill inmate and covering it up

Two Los Angeles sheriff's deputies have been sentenced to prison for covering up their beating of a mentally ill inmate. The incident was witnessed by a former recruit turned whistleblower.

Bryan Brunsting, 31, and Jason Branum, 35, both received prison sentences Monday after a jury in May found them guilty of conspiracy to violate an inmate's civil rights, depriving him of his civil rights under color of authority and falsifying records after beating a mentally ill inmate then covering it up.

Brunsting was sentenced to 21 months in prison while Branum received five months. Both men were facing as many as 40 years in prison, but the sentences were lessened when a deal was made with Brunsting's attorneys, dropping civil rights charges in exchange for the judge being allowed to consider the nature of his conduct while sentencing, the Los Angeles Times reported.

Thanks but no thanks during this season of Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving
During this season of Thanksgiving, I would like to express my overwhelming gratitude. Thank you, President Obama. Thank you for not upholding your oath to the U.S. Constitution to protect America's southern border. Thank you for illegally granting amnesty via executive action and avoiding the unnecessary hassles of passing the legislation through Congress. And thank you for your efforts in turning the United States of America into a third-world refugee camp.

Thank you, Obama, for your broad support of Islam and for labeling American citizens as bitter, xenophobic racists clinging to their guns and religion. I would also like to express my gratitude to you, your enablers, and all of the sycophantically corrupt, establishment politicians for near doubling the national debt of the United States these last eight years.

Another heartfelt expression of gratitude goes out to all of the media pundits, talking heads, newspaper columnists, Silicon Valley moguls as well as the proprietors, purveyors and contributors of actual fake news websites who contort themselves daily to support leftist politicians and the progressive agenda. Without the blind commitment of those who have facilitated the Cloward-Piven strategy of sacrificing America to the global elite banking establishment, it would have been far more difficult for Obama to fundamentally transform our country over the last eight years.

Indeed, without the help of the punditocratic media commentariat, the Obama administration might have been held accountable for the Fast and Furious scandal, NSA overreach, the IRS scandal, veteran death panels and illicit prisoner trades with America's sworn enemies; not to mention the blaming of Benghazi on a YouTube video. Thanks for sweeping all of that under the proverbial rug. You should be proud.

Israelis cheerful about Trump presidency

Israel Trump opinions

"I'm very happy Mrs. Clinton lost. She's an enemy of the Jewish people," says one person interviewed in West Jerusalem's Zion Square.
According to a New York Times poll, 24% of American Jews voted for Donald Trump, yet according to a poll conducted by iVoteIsrael and released in the Jerusalem Post the Republican candidate received 49% of the Israeli-American vote. On Tuesday, November 22, Mondoweiss reporters asked Israelis in West Jerusalem's Zion Square what they thought about the election of Donald Trump and found overwhelming support for the incoming U.S. president.

"In this difficult time all over the world, it's time for strong leaders," says one Trump admirer.

Support for Trump echoed positive statements by members of the Knesset and of the Israeli government right after the election. Naftali Bennett, the Minister of Education, was the most vocal and fastest to celebrate the President-elect. His team issued a press release stating that: "Trump's victory is an opportunity for Israel to immediately retract the notion of a Palestinian state in the center of the country, which would hurt our security and just cause". The Habayit Hayehudi chairman also said that "the special connection between the United States and Israel will be preserved and even enhanced."

Comment: Nice comment by the last interviewee, that he hopes "Palestine will go out of existence". The proper word for that is genocide, buddy.

It's ironic that Obama is seen as 'bad for Israel' considering the obscene amount of money that country gets from the U.S. increases every year. The U.S. shouldn't even be giving Israel a dime. But hey, what's international law? This is Israel we're talking about here.
