Two National Guardsmen are dead after their military helicopter crashed in northeast Mississippi during a routine training flight on Friday, officials said.

The soldiers were identified by state officials on Saturday as Chief Warrant Officer 4 Bryan Andrew Zemek, 36, and Chief Warrant Officer 4 Derek Joshua Abbott, 42.

Both servicemembers served at a Mississippi National Guard Army aviation support facility in Tupelo, according to Mississippi Gov. Tate Reeves.

Comment: It remains to be seen just exactly what led to their deaths, but, with the seeming increase in accidents such as this, it could be anything from shoddy maintenance, incompetence, the vaccine, Earth Changes, or even a calculated action:

US government indicts journalist for uncovering unaired parts of Tucker Carlson's interview with Kanye West

The U.S. Justice Department is sending a clear signal to the news media that prosecutors will not hesitate to aid a powerful or influential corporation in suppressing investigative journalism.

United States prosecutors indicted Florida-based journalist Timothy Burke for uncovering and sharing unaired portions of a Fox News interview between Tucker Carlson and Kanye West.

As Motherboard reported, the unaired video contained racist and antisemitic remarks by the rapper as well as a bizarre claim that "'fake children' had been placed in his house to manipulate his children."

Fox News claimed they were "hacked," and the FBI subsequently raided Burke's home newsroom in 2023.

By charging Burke, the U.S. Justice Department is sending a clear signal to the news media that prosecutors will not hesitate to aid a powerful or influential corporation in suppressing investigative journalism.

The Freedom of the Press Foundation (FPF) immediately condemned the charges against Burke:
"The indictment could have significant implications for press freedom, not only by putting digital journalists at risk of prosecution but by allowing the government to permanently seize a journalist's computers."
Burke was charged [PDF] with engaging in a conspiracy to defraud the U.S. government, violating a federal wiretapping law, and committing multiple offenses in violation of the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act (CFAA).

'A threat to democracy': J.D. Vance calls to break up Google over its leftist search bias

Vance
© Jacquelyn Martin/APSenator J.D. Vance
Sen. J.D. Vance (R-OH) on Friday called to break up Google, calling it a "progressive technology company" with "monopolistic control of information."

Vance wrote,
"Long overdue, but it's time to break Google up. This matters far more than any other election integrity issue. The monopolistic control of information in our society resides with an explicitly progressive technology company."

"In October and November, as millions of undecided voters consider their choice for president, they will go to Google and ask "Did Donald Trump say X?" "Is Biden too old to be president?" The results they see will be explicitly biased towards Democrats. A threat to democracy."

Vance issued his call after journalist Tim Pool shared a report from AllSides, a media bias watchdog, discussing how Google News's bias has only increased since the 2022 midterm elections.

NYC's non-citizen voting law ruled unconstitutional on appeal

A state appeals court ruled that a New York City law that would allow non-citizens to vote in local elections is unconstitutional — marking a win for the Republican elected officials who sued to block it.

"We determine that this local law was enacted in violation of the New York State Constitution and Municipal Home Rule Law, and thus, must be declared null and void," read the Wednesday ruling from Paul Wooten, an associate justice of the Appellate Division for the Second Judicial Department in New York.

Mayor Eric Adams' administration has been defending the law and appealed a lower court's ruling against it. A spokesperson didn't immediately respond when asked if City Hall planned to appeal to the state's highest court.

The 2022 law has not yet gone into effect, since it faced immediate legal challenges. It sought to let green card holders and other people living in New York City with federal work authorization to vote in local elections for offices including mayor and City Council — applying to some 800,000 new eligible voters in a city of 8.5 million.

Is this how Skynet begins? Bezos, Nvidia join OpenAI in funding humanoid robotics firm

Figure AI's 'Terminator' robot
A startup focused on developing general-purpose humanoids has attracted investments from Jeff Bezos, Nvidia Corp., and other major tech companies in its most recent funding round amid the rapidly expanding artificial intelligence bubble.

People familiar with the investing round told Bloomberg that Figure AI - backed by OpenAI and Microsoft Corp - is raising $675 million, with a pre-money valuation of approximately $2 billion. They said Bezo's firm, Explore Investments LLC, has committed $100 million. Microsoft has committed $95 million, while Nvidia and Amazon plan $50 million each.

The funding round is not yet complete, and the amounts could change, with the possibility that the deals could still fall apart.

Figure's AI-powered robot appears very similar in design to the Terminator assassin robot in the early 1990s film "Terminator."

Recall the Terminator robot:

Let's hope this Terminator-like robot is not trained on a woke-tuned model like Gemini - now that would be a disaster for humankind.

Assange hearing shows ruling class is 'full of s**t' - Roger Waters

The WikiLeaks founder remains in legal limbo after a British court refused to grant or deny his extradition appeal...

The decision by Britain's High Court to postpone judgment on WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange's last extradition appeal proves that the ruling class is "full of s**t," Pink Floyd frontman Roger Waters told Going Underground host Afshin Rattansi.

After two days of oral arguments, the court adjourned on Wednesday without granting or refusing Assange a fresh appeal against his extradition to the US. The UK Home Office approved his transfer to American custody in 2022, but the former WikiLeaks boss - now in poor health after nearly five years of solitary confinement in London's Belmarsh Prison - has filed repeated appeals, none of which have been successful.

Referring to senior judges Victoria Sharp and Jeremy Johnson, who ultimately decide whether to grant Assange another appeal, Waters told Rattansi on Saturday:
"None of these hearings should last more than five minutes. They should go in and say 'obviously he's not guilty of any crime, let the prisoner go' and that will be the end of it. These people don't believe in the rule of law. They believe in the ruling class, and they believe they are servants of the ruling class. And they will do whatever they are told. It's becoming more and more transparent to we, the people...that they are full of s**t."

Mysterious 'gas leak' at Sweden's intelligence HQ puts seven people in hospital

The area around the office was closed off while mask-wearing officers dealt with the situation
A mysterious 'gas leak' at Sweden's security service office today has put seven people in hospital three days before the country is set to pass the final hurdle in joining NATO.

500 people in the office were evacuated by police after an 'unknown substance' was released at the headquarters in Solna, Stockholm County.

This comes as concern from foreign threats have become heightened on the buildup to the NATO decision.

France's farmers storm agricultural fair amid Macron visit, demand his resignation

farmer france macron
© Stephanie Lecocq/REUTERSScuffles took place between police and protesters as French President Emmanuel Macron toured the fair. A group of farmers forced their way through an entrance gate, calling for President Emmanuel Macron to quit. European farmers have been protesting for months, complaining of low profits, red tape and unfair competition.
Dozens of French farmers on Saturday forced open an entrance gate to an agricultural show in Paris as part of their protests against European Union green policies and other measures that they say are hitting their bottom line.

Comment: What did they expect would happen? The farmers have been protesting, on and off, and in Paris in particular, since at least December.

Clashes broke out with riot police who were trying to restrain the farmers.

Many of them shouted and booed, calling for the resignation of French President Emmanuel Macron.

Reuters news agency reported that at least one person was arrested at the fair, which runs for nine days and attracts around 600,000 visitors.

Comment: Notably, the longer this goes on, the more farmers are coming to realise just how nefarious the establishment agenda is, how vulnerable they are to its machinations, and the further this understanding spreads.

We are seeing a digital coup d'etat

carrion
There was a time. What seemed to be unfolding was a huge intellectual error for the history books. A new virus had come along and everyone was freaking out and smashing all normal social functioning.

The excuse turns out just to be the cover story. Still, it bears examination.

Even though plenty of outside commentators said the pathogen should be handled in the normal way - with known treatment and calm while those most susceptible stayed cautious until endemicity - some people on the inside fell prey to a great fallacy. They had come to believe computer models over known realities. They thought that you could separate everyone, drive down infections, and then the virus would die out.

This was never a plausible scenario, as anyone who knew something about the history of pandemics would report. All known experience stood against this cockmamie scheme. The science was very clear and widely available: lockdowns do not work. Physical interventions in general achieve nothing.

Ten years after Maidan: Why won't the West admit that the coup was based on a lie?

Maidan 2014

This feature was first published on February 6, 2023. On the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the events that took place in Kiev on February 22, 2014, we are again posting it on the front page.

Political scientist Ivan Katchanovski - of the University of Ottawa - revealed last year, in a paper, that the February 2014 massacre of Ukrainian protesters by sniper fire, a defining moment of the Western-backed Maidan coup, was not published by an academic journal for "political reasons."

Evidence that external forces were involved has been suppressed for 'political reasons'

Comment: It is interesting that the West keeps claiming that Ukraine is fighting for European values for as the last paragraph shows, those values contain nothing democratic, just or fair in them. The West might be right though as European values in reality are getting closer and closer to those demonstrated in Ukraine, namely fascism and totalitarianism.
