Economic earthquake ahead? The cracks are spreading fast

earthquake
One of my favorite false narratives floating around corporate media platforms has been the argument that the American people "just don't seem to understand how good the economy really is right now." If only they would look at the stats, they would realize that we are in the middle of a financial renaissance, right? It must be that people have been brainwashed by negative press from conservative sources...

I have to laugh at this notion because it's a very common one throughout history - it's an assertion made by almost every single political regime right before a major collapse. These people always say the same things, and when you study economics as long as I have you can't help but throw up your hands and marvel at their dedication to the propaganda.

One example that comes to mind immediately is the delusional optimism of the "roaring" 1920s and the lead up to the Great Depression. At the time around 60% of the U.S. population was living in poverty conditions (according to the metrics of the decade) earning less than $2000 a year. However, in the years after WWI ravaged Europe, America's economic power was considered unrivaled.

What is happening in Haiti could happen in the US

Haiti fire
The kind of rampant civil unrest that has thrown Haiti into turmoil will happen in the United States and other wealthy western nations too. At this point, it is just a matter of time. Here in the United States, we have been adding millions upon millions of extremely desperate people on top of the millions upon millions of extremely desperate people that we already had. Politicians in major cities such as New York and Chicago openly admit that they can't possibly take any more migrants because the social services available for them have been completely overwhelmed, but more migrants just keep coming anyway. We are creating an extremely explosive environment, and the pressure that is coming in 2024 and beyond could push things over the edge.

If you want an idea of what is coming, just look at what is happening in Haiti right now. Following years of disastrous policies, the entire nation has descended into a state of chaos...

War on Gaza: Israel's leftists quickly lost their compassion for Palestinians

Liberal Israeli sympathy for Palestinians was based on the colonial mindset that the subjugated are inferior and should be grateful for their support

The Hamas attack of 7 October and the war that Israel launched thereafter introduced a new conceptual category of persons to the Hebrew-Israeli vocabulary: the "disillusioned" - meaning, the folks who have now "sobered up".

These people insist that, until 7 October, they were humanistic seekers of peace for whom the Hamas attack changed everything: in its wake, they moulted their former selves and now passionately supported the genocide that Israel is perpetrating in Gaza.

For more than five months, they have continued to flog one another for the sin of their earlier left-wing innocence. After suitable ritual absolution, they enter into the bosom of the tribe and are showered with forgiveness in the name of the people and the nation.

Republicans going all out to ban diversity, equity, inclusion mandates in medical schools

GOP lawmakers proposed legislation Tuesday banning race-based mandates at medical schools and accrediting institutions.

The Embracing anti-Discrimination, Unbiased Curricula, and Advancing Truth in Education Act was introduced by North Carolina Rep. Greg Murphy, a urologist who is the only actively practicing physician in Congress.

"American medical schools are the best in the world and no place for discrimination," said Mr. Murphy. The EDUCATE Act compels medical schools and accrediting agencies to uphold colorblind admissions processes and prohibits the coercion of students who hold certain political opinions.

Comment: The bill can't be passed too soon. Plus the schools themselves need to be purged of the pernicious doctrine of DEI. It produces dangerous nonsense like this: Some are fighting back:

Houthi pressure on behalf of Gaza working: Red Sea attacks halve Suez Canal trade

The trade volume is being diverted from Suez to route around South Africa's Cape of Good Hope, the International Monetary Fund reports

The Suez and Panama Canals have seen drops in trade of 50% and 32% respectively during January and February, compared with the same months in 2023, the International Monetary Fund (IMF) is reporting.

According to the fund's information, transit trade fell in the first two months of 2024 due to Houthi attacks in the Red Sea and to drought affecting the Panama Canal.

Comment: Who will have more clout in this situation? The politicians beholden to Israel, or the businesses that keep governments in power?

Mistakes were made: Germany's lame propagandistic mea culpa over Covid Totalitarianism

Nuremberg trials
Make fun of the Germans all you want, and I've certainly done that a bit during these past few years, but, if there's one thing they're exceptionally good at, it's taking responsibility for their mistakes. Seriously, when it comes to acknowledging one's mistakes, and not rationalizing, or minimizing, or attempting to deny them, and any discomfort they may have allegedly caused, no one does it quite like the Germans.

Take this Covid mess, for example. Just last week, the German authorities confessed that they made a few minor mistakes during their management of the "Covid pandemic." According to Karl Lauterbach, the Minister of Health, "we were sometimes too strict with the children and probably started easing the restrictions a little too late." Horst Seehofer, the former Interior Minister, admitted that he would no longer agree to some of the Covid restrictions today, for example, nationwide nighttime curfews. "One must be very careful with calls for compulsory vaccination," he added. Helge Braun, Head of the Chancellery and Minister for Special Affairs under Merkel, agreed that there had been "misjudgments," for example, "overestimating the effectiveness of the vaccines."

Crime waves, criminal gangs, and civil unrest in the US

green light
Violence and crime are already completely out of control all over the United States. In fact, you definitely wouldn't want to be caught in the streets when hordes of our lawless young people are running wild. If things are this bad already, what is going to happen if the election in November does not go the way that leaders on the left want and they give the green light to millions of radicals to cause widespread chaos all over America? I think that we got a small preview of what this could look like during the riots of 2020. Unfortunately, since that time the open border policies of the Biden administration have allowed millions of extremely desperate people to come pouring into this country. The stage is being set for civil unrest on a scale that we have never seen before, and it certainly isn't going to take much to push our society over the edge.

Woke mind virus causes 'anxiety & depression', new study reveals

woke mind virus
A new study from psychological researchers in Finland, published in the Scandinavian Journal of Psychology, finds a positive correlation between an individual's commitment to social justice beliefs, including "intersectionality," "antiracism," and "wokeness," and experiencing a life full of anxiety and depression.

As the 'woke mind virus' spreads like cancer across Western nations, there are new concerns about a developing mental health crisis. This is because the study, titled "Construction and validation of a scale for assessing critical social justice attitudes," finds an elevated risk of anxiety and depression in the Finnish population who practice the so-called "woke" religion.

Cereal for the peasants? How the elites use "skimpflation" to control our eating habits

WEF food pyramid
People who have been reading my analysis for a long time are well aware of my expectations on the eventual outcome of the US economic debacle: A stagflationary crisis followed by a massive crash similar to the Great Depression (or worse). I based this prediction on a number of circumstances, but primarily I went back to the history of currency devaluations and central bank policy. These kinds of things have happened before and they tend to follow a pattern that is visible today.

Specifically, I studied the 1971-1981 stagflation crisis for reference and I found some startling similarities. It was one of the worst economic declines in American history next to the depression, and it's an event that almost no one talks about. A lot of people (specifically Gen Z) believe that our current era is the worst financial era of all time and that their generation has been shafted by previous generations.

This is inaccurate; the stagflation disaster of the 1970s was far worse. That said, it shows us where our country is eventually headed and it's not looking good. What is a manageable economic crunch today has the potential to become a calamity tomorrow.

An "unprecedented" number of Russians living abroad voted in the March 15-17 presidential election, Russia's Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said Monday.

Preliminary data shows 372,779 Russians cast their ballots outside of Russia during the three-day race, according to Zakharova.

"The figures are, of course, unprecedented," Zakharova told the state broadcaster Channel One.

Zakharova did not indicate which share of the vote went to Vladimir Putin, who secured a record 87.33% of all votes cast as he heads for another six-year term.
