Idlib: Al Qaeda's last stand in Syria

Terroists of Tahrir al-Sham – formally Jabhat Al Nusra, al Qaeda in Syria
The United States has raised tensions further amid Syria's ongoing conflict. It has issued a threat in the form of a "warning" against Damascus against retaking the northern region of Idlib. More specifically, the US has accused Damascus of preparing chemical weapon attacks as part of its alleged strategy to retake the territory.

No evidence has been provided by the US to substantiate these accusations - and it is clear that the warning was actually a threat implicating a planned, staged provocation likely to be followed by US military aggression.

Dallas cop walks into what she thought was her own apartment and kills innocent man

Bothan Shem Jean
Highlighting the sheer insane state of law enforcement in America today is a tragic story out of Dallas this week. An off-duty police officer walked into the wrong home after getting off shift, thought the homeowner was an intruder, and killed him. And, she has not yet been arrested.

The victim was 26-year-old Bothan Shem Jean who was most likely startled by someone coming into his home at 10:00 pm when the unnamed officer opened his door. While the details surrounding how Jean was killed are unclear, according to police, the officer admitted to killing him.

In a statement released on Friday, Dallas police said their officer called them after shooting Jean and told responding officers that "she entered the victim's apartment believing that it was her own."
On September 6, 2018 at about 9:59 p.m., an off duty Dallas Police officer called police dispatch and said she was involved in a shooting at the apartments located at 1210 S. Lamar.

Preliminary information suggests that the officer arrived home in full uniform after working a full shift. The officer reported to the responding officers that she entered the victim's apartment believing that it was her own. At some point, the officer fired her weapon striking the victim. Responding officers administered aid to the victim, a 26-year-old male, at the scene. The victim was then transported to the hospital and pronounced deceased. Next of kin notification has not been made at this time.

The officer was not injured and will be placed on administrative leave pending the outcome of the investigation.

The Dallas Police Department is conducting a joint investigation with the District Attorney's Office. This investigation is ongoing and we will release additional details as they become available and it is appropriate to do so.

'Not Watergate, just gossip': Pulitzer winner Chris Hedges on Woodward's new anti-Trump bombshell

Journalist Bob Woodward at Trump Tower
The paradoxical era of anonymous anti-Trump reporting has turned once-solid journalism into a carnival of unverifiable accusations. True or not, they distract from real issues, says Pulitzer prize winning journalist Chris Hedges.

A new bombshell book about the horrors of Trump's White House is about to hit the shelves. This time it's not penned by a disgruntled former official, but the world-famous Bob Woodward - the investigative journalist who uncovered the 1970s Watergate scandal that brought down President Richard Nixon. Only this time, instead of doing solid, verifiable journalism, he is peddling damning claims by anonymous sources, says Chris Hedges, a Pulitzer prize winning journalist and author.

"This is very different from Watergate. This is gossip. Much of it is anonymous gossip, so it feeds this never ending reality television show political drama that cable news channels like CNN are making quite a bit of money off of," Mr. Hedges told RT. "It's always something, it's endless burlesque, and this feeds into this kind of narrative."

'Frightening' power of social services and secretive courts to take children away from parents highlighted in Sun investigation

Jill with baby Alyssa

Jill with baby Alyssa
When mum Jill Goss visited a GP for a routine appointment to check a swelling on her baby daughter's arm, she thought she'd be home with her ten-week-old in a few hours.

But after an unimaginable sequence of events, her child was taken from her forever and she was thrust into a living nightmare.

The mum-of-two is one of tens of thousands of parents who have had their children seized by social services using secretive court care orders.

Parents up and down the country are facing agonising court battles each year against councils who are removing children in record numbers.

Comment: The rules creating secretive courts and giving power to social services to take children from their parents came about from the infestation of feminist ideology into social and government programs starting in the 1960s . Feminists have systematically destroyed the family unit and given untethered power to the state to intervene in private family affairs, all in the name of increasing the power of women in society. The feminist ideology is pathological to the core.

Labour Friends of Israel chair Joan Ryan was caught on undercover camera fabricating an instance of anti-Semitism at the Labour Party conference 2016.
Updates: Joan Ryan lost the vote tonight, a local activist who was in the meeting tells The Electronic Intifada. There were 95 votes recorded as no confidence, 92 votes confidence and four spoiled ballots.

Iranian satellite channel PressTV tweeted this video of the jubilant moment local activists voted to replace Ryan as their candidate for MP in the next election:

The final motion passed last night differed from the draft attached below, in that it removed mention of the Jean Fitzpatrick incident.

But it still cited Ryan's smears against Corbyn and her false "allegations of anti-Semitism against the party." It also still called for "an open selection process for our next parliamentary candidate." The Skwawkbox has published the final motion in full.

A store guard in a Siberian city has reportedly called in an armed rapid response team - who are meant to deal with robberies and similar threats - after catching a 7-year-old girl, who failed to pay for a lollipop.

The absurd situation developed on Friday morning in Tomsk, a major Russian city in western Siberia, according to a report by Interfax news agency. The guard, who was working for a local grocery store chain, apparently caught a suspected shoplifter - or the candy she wanted to buy was simply missed.

'Tip of the iceberg': US lawyers claim to have 'explosive' documents about Monsanto's activity in Europe

Bayer-owned agrochemical giant Monsanto, which has recently been ordered to pay a groundskeeper $289 million in damages over Roundup's alleged cancer link, may be facing many more legal fights soon.

Lawyers involved in the California lawsuit against the firm claim they have revealing documents about Monsanto and its affairs in Europe.

"What we have is the tip of the iceberg. And in fact we have documents now in our possession, several hundreds of documents, that have not been declassified and some of those are explosive," US lawyer Robert Jr. Kennedy was cited as saying by Euronews.

According to Kennedy, many of those documents "are pertinent to what Monsanto did here in Europe. And that's just the beginning."
