Even Russia isn't safe from leftist indoctrination: Critical Race Theory and LGBTQ activism hit Russia over "white supremacy"

In 2012, the Pussy Riot feminist rock band provoked a scandal within Russia's community after it staged an unsanctioned performance in Moscow’s Cathedral of Christ the Savior.
The shock troops of the leftist NGO network are attacking the last bastions of conservatism all over the world - Brazil, Hungary, India. This week "Extinction Rebellion" attacked the Parliament in Canberra, Australia, to date one of the last remaining bastions of sanity in the world. And even Russia, which banned Open Society and other foreign NGOs 2015, is under attack for "white supremacy", "racism" and "colonialism", writes Edvard Chesnokov

As a journalist of a large Russian publication, I often interview Western politicians. Technically, though, most of these people are marginal, political outsiders, and have zero access to mainstream media due to their "right-wing" views.

When I talk to them, one thing always amazes me - How many of my Western friends see Russia as a conservative paradise, a wonderful land with ultraconservative values, happy heterosexual families like out of a '50s TV commercial, and pure unadulterated Orthodox Christianity. It reminds me of the way European adventurers used to believe there was an El Dorado somewhere in Peru, where the streets were paved in gold.

Western media proves it only cares about refugees if they serve the right political purpose

Lithuanian army soldiers install razor wire on border with Belarus in Druskininkai, Lithuania July 9, 2021
The Guardian, the mouthpiece of Britain's well-meaning, mildly left-of-center mainstream media, has published a piece on refugees. Or, at least, it should be about refugees. Instead, it is about governments, not desperate people.

The governments of Lithuania, Latvia, and Poland, and behind them, the European Union, are feeling pressure from Belarus, which they claim has been pushing refugees across the border, flown in from the Middle East for the purpose. Ostensibly, such a policy is in retaliation for Western sanctions, as Minsk's authoritarian leader Alexander Lukashenko has in effect already admitted.

In The Guardian piece, the refugees are not innocent human beings fleeing for their lives. On the contrary, they aren't even people at all, having been entirely reduced to numbers - except for one non-descript picture that seemed to serve only decorative purposes. I, for one, was, literally, rubbing my eyes: here it was, a long text about sons, daughters, brothers and mothers in distress - and not one sentence giving them a name or a voice. Impossible. Yet true. Whether the work of authors or editors, the effect was drastically revealing if, certainly, unintended.

Comment: Compassion for refugees is well and good, but many of the migrants don't come under that category. The composition of the various groups have been described as overwhelmingly "fighting-age males". Many have moved for economic reasons. The author has also ignored the tremendous social dislocation that unchecked numbers of migrants have brought to Europe. It apparently has been an intended consequence.

The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) has mandated its health care workforce to get vaccinated against COVID-19, Health Secretary Xavier Becerra announced on Thursday.

Staff at the Indian Health Service (IHS), focused on American Indians, and National Institutes of Health (NIH) will be impacted by this decision, according to an HHS statement.

Those affected include over 25,000 employees, contractors, trainees, and volunteers whose duties put them in contact or potential contact with patients at an HHS medical or clinical research facility.

French vaccination centres vandalised as health pass is introduced

A coronavirus disease (COVID-19) health pass poster is seen in a restaurant as France brings on tougher restrictions where a proof of immunity will now be required to access most public spaces and to travel by inter-city train, in Nice, France, August 9, 2021.
Vandals have attacked more than 20 vaccination centres and other health facilities, daubing some with Nazi-themed slogans, as the French government steps up its COVID-19 vaccination drive.

Comment: Apparently it's been one per day since mid-July!

Anger has been fueled by the introduction of a health pass showing proof of vaccination or a recent negative COVID-19 test which is now mandatory for entering restaurants, trains and other public places.

Over the past four weekends protesters have marched against the health pass, saying it restricts individual freedom.

Comment: The pressure continues to build in France and the people are showing their righteous anger. One wonders how long it will take for the pushback to push beyond the level of vandalism.

The ACLU has it backward: Schools should worry about being sued for teaching Critical Race Theory

The ACLU is warning schools that teaching CRT is necessary to avoid creating a racially hostile environment. Yet singling out children as inherently racist is grounds for a lawsuit — and they've already begun.

Critical race theory (CRT) is a quantum ideology: Now you see it; now you don't. Its defenders tell us that it is, at most, an "academic theory" limited to law school musing and nowhere to be found in public schools. Except when they claim that schools must teach it.

On July 8, the American Civil Liberties Union of Wisconsin sent a letter to each school district administrator in the state specifically invoking the national and local controversy over "critical race theory" and attempts to limit its teaching. In that particular context, the letter "reminds" the districts of anodyne statutory directives to teach an "understanding of human relations, particularly with regard to American Indians, Black Americans and Hispanics" and that curricula should reflect "the cultural diversity and pluralistic nature of American society."

Comment: The slow creep of critical race theory into the classrooms of children is ideological brainwashing of the most vulnerable in our society. It's essentially teaching kids to be racist. The future planned by the controllers for this upcoming generation is both bleak and divisive and parents have every right, if not a duty, to protect their children.

NY Supreme Court sides with O'Keefe - Project Veritas will be permitted to depose The New York Times

James O'Keefe Project Veritas
Human Events News obtained the following statement from James O'Keefe:

As you know, we sued the Times for claiming our Minnesota ballot harvesting video was "deceptive." The New York Times attempted to dismiss the case and we won a historic victory when the New York Supreme Court denied the motion, ruling that the terms "deceptive" and "disinformation" apply to the New York Times' reporters' actions and claims. The Times appealed and then asked the Court to issue a stay that would effectively prohibit us from deposing the Times until the appeal is resolved - a process that could last up to three years.

The second-largest school district in Colorado has reportedly informed teachers to use a "gender unicorn" to understand transgender students and not tell parents if their children are showing gender confusion at school.

Jefferson County Public School district is using a toolkit called 'Toolkit for Supporting Transgender & Gender Expansive/Nonconforming Students' to educate teachers on how to handle the thorny issue of gender confusion among students.

In this guide for educators is a "gender unicorn" - picture below - that helps to explain the differences between "gender identity," "gender expression," "sex assigned at birth" - and the appropriate pronouns to use - as well as physical and emotional attraction preferences.

Major port in China shuts terminal threatening another surge in shipping prices after 1 Covid case detected

container shipping rates
We recently discussed how already astronomical container shipping costs are set to rise even higher should China lock down one or more shipping terminals to contain the spread of the delta variant in provinces that have direct exposure to global commerce ("Shipping Rates From China To US Hit Record $20,000 With No Drop In Sight" and "Brace For Astronomical Shipping Costs As China Goes Into Lockdown Mode") with Goldman Sachs explicitly warning that "port closures or stricter control measures at ports could also put further upward pressure on shipping costs, which are already very high."

It now looks that this worst case scenario is in play after Chinese authorities on Wednesday closed a major container terminal at the Port of Ningbo after a dock worker tested positive for COVID, raising fears among traders that supply chain disruptions that occurred when Yantian terminal in Shenzhen reduced output by 70% for a month earlier this summer would be repeated.

According to FreightWaves which cited local media reports and logistics operators, all operations at the Ningbo Meidong Container Terminal, also referred to as the Meishan Terminal, were immediately suspended following the positive test results.

450,000 pigs culled since African Swine Fever outbreak reported in South Korea

African Swine Fever
A South Korea pig farm with 2,400 pigs confirmed an outbreak of African swine fever (ASF) on Sunday. The country is on high alert to contain the spread of this deadly virus just three months after the latest confirmed case on May 4.

According to the Korea Herald, the government-led ASF task force announced that the ASF case was confirmed at a domesticated pig farm in Goseong-gun, Gangwon Province. This farm is the only pig farm in a three-kilometer radius. There are two other farms with a combined 3,100 pigs in a 10-kilometer radius.

To date, South Korea has confirmed 18 cases of ASF at local pig farms since the outbreak started in September 2019. Authorities culled more than 450,000 farmed pigs culled across 14 pig farms in the first 30 days. Counting wild boars, ASF has been confirmed in a total of 1,517 cases.

Comment: There becomes a point where outbreak related culls, extreme weather damage, and logistic related delays and shortages will have a significant impact on the food supply:

Senate PASSES anti-CRT bill in razor thin vote; Dems now on record supporting the Marxist propaganda

critical race theory
© Youtube
In a late night vote on Tuesday, the US Senate passed an amendment that prohibits federal funds from going to pre-K programs and K-12 schools that teach critical race theory. Every single Democrat, except one - West Virginia senator Joe Manchin - voted against the legislation, which passed 50-49.

The measure was sponsored by Arkansas Senator Tom Cotton, who has been one of the leaders in the fight against the anti-American propaganda for over a year. Its passage effectively bans CRT from being taught in schools until after 12th grade, when students are free to pay for the indoctrination themselves.

Comment: This is a step in the right direction, but will there be a backlash from the true believers?
