Tyler, who was 16 at the time, was convicted of first degree murder by an all white jury, for the fatal shooting of fellow Destrehan High School student, Timothy Weber, 13.
The murder occurred during a period of high racial tensions and violence as the state introduced school segregation.
Tyler was released on Friday after pleading guilty to the crime. He was handed a reduced sentence of 21 years, but the 57 year old has already served nearly twice that, so he is now free.

The report, presented to Belgian lawmakers and seen by a number of publications, says the police had information on the brothers' radicalization, their relation to the would-be mastermind of Paris attacks Abdelhamid Abaaoud, and their apparent intention to perpetrate some kind of a terror act since at least the middle of 2014.
Additionally, the police found out in January 2015 that both Salah and Brahim Abdelslam intended to go to Syria, according to Le Soir newspaper. They had been questioned in relation to this. However, when the Belgian prosecutor requested to wiretap the brother's phone calls, the idea was reportedly turned down due to "lack of resources."
Comment: Turned down why? Similar events happened in the U.S. in 2000/2001 when two of the alleged 9/11 hijackers traveled to the States (al-Mihdhar and al-Hazmi). The CIA's Alec Station knew they had ties to al-Qaeda (including the 1998 African embassy bombings and the attack on the USS Cole), yet blocked agents from passing information about them to the FBI when they entered the U.S. The most likely reason? They were already being surveilled, most likely by a friendly foreign intelligence service, or the CIA itself. FBI surveillance would have messed up their plans, which were deliberately allowed to continue, or worse, directly facilitated by CIA.

At least 65 cases of violence against people with albinism including killings and dismemberment have been recorded by police in Malawi since late 2014, said Ikponwosa Ero, the U.N.'s independent expert on human rights and albinism.
People with albinism live in danger in regions of the world where their body parts are valued in witchcraft and can fetch a high price. Superstition leads many to believe albino children bring bad luck.

"I would like to remind that currently there's a package of amnesty rules which provides a unique opportunity for those with undeclared foreign accounts and assets," Russian Finance Minister Anton Siluanov told reporters on Thursday.
According to the minister, using the amnesty will avoid criminal, administrative and tax liability.
"The terms of the amnesty are limited - a declaration has to be submitted by July 1, 2016 - and we do not plan to extend it," Siluanov said.
Earlier this year, Mike and Michelle Pierce, who run a thrift and salvage business in Griffin, decided to buy a car from an auction; a decision that would later haunt them. It turned out that the car was stolen.
The Pierces had no clue the car they just purchased was stolen, but as soon as they found out it was, they called 9-1-1 and handed the car over. However, after they turned the car over, police gave it back and then arrested them for having it.
"They arrested us in our store in the middle of the day," said Michael Pierce.
"We didn't know why. They just threw the cuffs on me and put me in the back of the car," Michelle Pierce cried as she told WSB-TV her story. "That was the worst thing."
The gross police incompetence that led to the innocent couple be locked up was only the beginning of their legal debacle with Clayton County police, however.

It is not only a distraction and a means for the state to get involved in your bowel movements, but it paints the trans and gay community in a negative light by asserting there is some sexual stigma involved in relieving one's bladder.

Comment: First, global warming is a scam and neither cow farts nor cow farming have anything to do with the climactic changes occurring on this planet. Second, it's pretty much guaranteed that these government officials won't be participating in this particular form of food austerity. Mealworms are for the peons while they save the real meat for themselves.
