Transgender controversy poses threat to sports - Putin

Russian president Vladimir Putin has likened the emergence of transgender athletes to Covid and warned that women's sport is under threat from males who transition and take part in female competition.

The row over transgender athletes has been one of the key controversies in sport in 2021, including at the Tokyo Olympics, where weightlifter Laurel Hubbard - who went through puberty as a man - competed in the women's light heavyweight category.

Dozens of bills have been put forward in the US aimed at outlawing transgender athletes from competing against school and college athletes who were born as women.

Most recently, transgender swimmer Lia Thomas broke records in female races at the University of Pennsylvania, leading to allegations that she had boasted about how easy her achievement was and reports that parents have pleaded to leaders for a change in the rules.

Comment: In the present, Vladimir Putin is the only world leader that publicly speaks about the gender fluidity and transgender sportist nonsense that as he says is spreading like a cancer in the society. If we don't use our common sense and stop it, it will destroy every aspect of our lives.

Many professional athletes supported the traditional approach of Vladimir Putin.
2006 ice dancing Olympic gold medalist Tatiana Navka said she "absolutely agreed" with Putin.
"It will be an unfair sport if a man competes with women," the two-time world champion told RIA. "Then all men will wear skirts and say that they are women. I really would not want this to be the case in figure skating."
On the other side Richard Budgett, the IOC's medical and science director, backed Laurel Hubbard the weightlifter who transitioned as an adult and competed at the Tokyo Olympics for New Zealand by saying that "everyone agrees transgender women are women."

Legendary figure skating coach Tatiana Tarasova evidently disagrees with those assertions. "I am in solidarity with Putin," she told the outlet.
"They can change anything they want but women have to compete with women, men with men.

"You can call yourself a girl but if you were a man, then there is nothing to be ashamed of. Men have another completely [different type of] power."
Hubbard was eliminated at the first time of asking at the Games, where Canada footballer Quinn became the first transgender athlete to win an Olympic medal.

Blue states that have repeatedly imposed mask mandates, vaccine requirements, and lockdowns over the last year have lost population to red states that have done away with such policies.

Newly released data from the United States Census Bureau reveals that while blue states like California and New York have increasingly lost population from July 2020 to July 2021, red states such as Texas and Florida have seen population increases.

Thirty-three states saw population increases over the last year while 17 states, and Washington, D.C., saw their populations decline. New York has suffered the largest numerical population decline with roughly 319,000 fewer residents today than a year ago.

New York, especially New York City, has imposed school closures, business lockdowns, vaccine requirements, and mask mandates sporadically in the last 12 months.

Joe Rogan points out the progressive double standard between vaccine and voter ID

Joe Rogan
The podcast host who has been the ire of the establishment media has some more political commentary to serve up to the leftist conglomerates.

Joe Rogan on Episode 1749 of his show pointed out in his conversation with guest Shane Dorian that for all the ire and fire Democrats voice against voter ID - they're the same crowd going all in on vaccine mandates for general public places.

"Systems that they adopt. If you're a right-winger or if you're a left-winger, you just like adopt this pattern of thinking. That this is 'I'm on the left so I have to be all for free and available abortion, and I want gun regulation,' and I want this and I want that."

"Ticks every box on your side," quipped Dorian.

DC to ban unvaccinated from public spaces

Washington, DC has joined a growing number of cities around the US requiring proof of vaccination in order to enter a litany of public spaces, citing the rapid spread of the Covid-19 Omicron variant.

Mayor Murial Bowser said in a Wednesday press release, adding that residents will have another month to become fully immunized:
"Beginning Saturday, January 15, 2022, at 6am, certain establishments will be required to verify that patrons aged 12 and older have received at least one dose of the Covid-19 vaccine."
The new mandate is set to impact a long list of businesses and indoor public spaces, among them restaurants, bars, nightclubs, entertainment venues, gyms and fitness centers. Though no clear definition was provided for "event and meeting establishments," they, too, will be subject to the vaccine requirement.

Comment: Going down like a row of dominoes, cities are bowing to this outrageous and malicious mandate. We have been effectively divided. Now comes the 'conquer' part.

The US Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) infiltrated far-left protests in Portland and recorded crimes committed by anarchist, antifascist, and racial justice protesters, a new report claims.

The New York Times reported on Wednesday a story detailing the FBI's surveillance operations, which were deployed at racial justice protests in the city and at demonstrations during President Joe Biden's inauguration in January.

Some FBI agents reportedly stood "shoulder to shoulder with activists, tailing vandalism suspects to guide the local police toward arrests and furtively videotaping" protesters during the wave of demonstrations, despite concern from some within the bureau that such operations could spark controversy.

Comment: Hilarious that Bobbin Singh is worried about 'chilling free speech' when the hordes of SJWs infesting Portland engage in the same behavior.

Top police officials in Fairfax, VA "secured sexual services from trafficked women" in an apparent collusion with criminals, according to a lawsuit. It also alleges an investigating detective has been forced to stay quiet.

At least 13 officers from the Fairfax County Police Department, including high-ranking ones, have for years undermined an investigation into a trafficking ring in Northern Virginia, according to a federal lawsuit that was recently filed by a civil rights attorney representing one of the victims.

The officers, some now retired, allegedly "secured sexual services from trafficked women, and may also have extorted money from the ring's leadership," the complaint seen by US journalists claims. Victimized women were forced to provide free sexual services to some of the cops, who were apparently aware the women had been "made to engage in commercial sex services by means of force, fraud or coercion."

A Swedish singer has received backlash for removing references to God from a 19th century hymn that she performed during an annual Christmas season television program.

Singer-songwriter Malin Foxdal, 43, performed Zacharias Topelius' 1887 Christmas song 'Julvisa' on SVT's 'Luciamorgon' program last week, which airs every December 13 in celebration of Lucia Day.

Foxdal modified the lyrics, however, to exclude references to God, which were instead replaced with more vague references to "love" and "light."

Special prosecutor: Cook County State's Attorney Kim Foxx lied to the public in Smollett case

Kim Foxx

Cook County special prosecutor Dan Webb has issued his report on the Jussie Smollett scandal with scathing findings of misconduct by the Cook County State's Attorney's Office. The findings include a determination that Cook County State's Attorney Kim Foxx lied to the public about her communications and role in the scandal. Despite the highly improper handling of the case (including the dropping of the original charges against Smollett), Chicago voters still reelected Foxx who has an appalling record in office. For a native Chicagoan, it is an all-too-familiar pattern of corrupt or incompetent elected officials continuing in office. The question, however, is whether Foxx will face any bar action for allegedly lying to the public about the handling of the case.

The report confirms what many of us have long stated about the Smollett case. The evidence of his guilt was obvious from the start, particularly given his ridiculous account of being attacked around 2am by roaming MAGA-hatted, racist Trump supporters screaming "This is MAGA country."

Both young and old disorientated by covid restrictions

I have two boys going to school.

One spends his days more or less lost in a strange crowd, struggling to understand what they mean, unable to read their faces. The other also spends his days more or less lost in a strange crowd, struggling to understand what they mean, unable to read their faces.

Only one of my boys is autistic.

The other negotiates the would-be social periods of his school day in a faceless herd in which meaningful experience is severely impeded and only the most pared down, loudly spoken, rigidly predictable interactions can make it through.

Not smart: Belgium to part ways with nuclear plants

The Belgian government has reached an agreement which will see its nuclear power stations close by 2025, although the possibility of extending the life of two reactors remains open.

On Thursday, Belgium's seven-party coalition hammered out an agreement on nuclear power. The deal, which was agreed just a week before the end-of-2021 deadline, will see all the country's nuclear power plants close by 2025. Lawmakers made the accord after talks that went on throughout the night.

As part of the deal, there remains an option to extend the life of two of the country's seven reactors. Prime Minister Alexander De Croo said it was possible that certain nuclear reactors could operate for longer, but he contended it was "very unlikely."
