A Saskatchewan alcoholic with a string of more than 30 criminal convictions has become the second person in his family to be designated a long-term offender this year.
The long-term offender designation is used for people convicted of a serious personal injury offence who are likely to re-offend. They are given special attention in jail and are supervised for up to 10 years after their release.

A recent Time magazine report on the effects of the current Gaza crisis on the many Palestinians whose family members are being held in Israeli prisons, many on no charge, quite clearly shows (as if we needed any confirmation), that the Israeli government, in refusing to end the crisis, cares nothing for the suffering of the Palestinian population.
You never know how much you really believe anything until its truth or falsehood becomes a matter of life and death. It is easy to say you believe a rope is strong as long as you are merely using it to cord a box. But, suppose you had to hang by that rope over a precipice? On June 10th 2006, Mr Merrill's wife reported him missing when he failed to return from a days sailing in his boat, 'the Merrilly', on Chesapeake bay. The following day, the Merrilly was found floating 25 miles off the coast with its engine running. The first man on the scene reported that the boat was empty and that there was evidence of blood on the deck. Mr Merrill's body was subsequently found floating in Chesapeake bay on June 19th. Police said that he had apparently died of a shotgun blast to the head, and deemed his death a suicide even before an autopsy has returned its findings and despite the fact that Mr Merrill's body was found with an anchor tied to his feet.

A few years ago, it wasn't so difficult. Things weren't quite so bad then, or at least they weren't quite so blatant. Today, it's a different story. The phrase 'in your face' doesn't do it justice; it's up your nose and down your throat too. So you will understand me then when I say that I am getting really, really tired, or better said, bored, with the continued refusal of many people to simply call what is clearly a spade a damn spade.
The subject of COINTELPRO comes up quite a bit on our websites and has done so since we became fully aware of its activity in the various "alternative news/views" movements back in late 2001. Up to that point in time, we were thinking that it was probably likely that, now and again, a group might be infiltrated by an agent for a specific purpose. What we were NOT aware of was the vast, overarching program that seems to be in place for the primary purpose of controlling absolutely everything via the control of the minds of the masses!
Yeah, that's a pretty unbelievable project to contemplate, but for groups with unlimited resources and the agenda to stay on the top of the heap, it's really not so hard. And never has this activity been more evident than in the 9/11 Truth Movement which I want to discuss here. But, before getting to that specifically, let me give a little background.

Looking out over the sorry state of our world, it isn't easy to make sense of what is going on. There are so many factors at play, so many levels of play and deception and manipulation with very few of the players having a complete overview of the ultimate plan. This complexity allows everyone to become a pawn: you'll hear one say that the Iraq war was about oil, another will say it was to advance Israel, another that it was to move in on the French and Russians. Each of these explanations have a kernel of truth to it because there were groups involved who did have these interests, and many more. But the entire situation cannot be understood as the expression of a single issue unless and until the real underlying cause is identified, the one that serves as context for the others, that is capable of subsuming them all within it.
