The BBC's "Unvaccinated": The pandemic dataset - part 3

bbc pandemic propaganda
In Part 1 we looked at the propaganda and manipulation techniques used throughout the BBC programme "Unvaccinated with Professor Hannah Fry."

In Part 2 we considered the undisclosed conflicts of interest that apparently led some of the BBC's chosen "experts" to make some misleading statements.

Yet perhaps the greatest single deception of all was in the BBC press release announcing the programme, which read:
Professor Hannah Fry is a British Mathematician who worked on the data that helped bring the UK out of its first lockdown.
This was incredibly disingenuous of the BBC. On the contrary, Prof. Fry worked on the data that helped put the UK into lockdown.

She was a major contributor to what became known globally as the BBC Pandemic Dataset, which, as we shall see, was central to creating of the myth of a pandemic — central, that is, to creating a pseudopandemic.

UC Berkeley student housing co-op bans white people from common areas

Berkeley student housing co-op bans white people
An off-campus co-op for students at the University of California, Berkeley named the 'Person of Color Theme House' has banned white guests from entering common areas of the house.

A list of house rules revealed that occupants were told 'many POC moved here to be able to avoid white violence and presence, so respect their decision of avoidance if you bring white guests.'

While the student house aims to have an 'inclusive' environment, the rules specifically state 'white guests are not allowed in common spaces,' according to the list, which was posted on Reddit.

Comment: ZeroHedge adds:
A UC Berkeley off-campus housing co-op has banned white people from entering common spaces in order to protect people of color (POC) from so-called "white violence."

As first reported by The College Fix and confirmed elsewhere, house rules for the 30-room "Person of Color Theme House" leaked to Reddit read: "Many POC moved here to be able to avoid white violence and presence, so respect their decision of avoidance if you bring white guests."

"White guests are not allowed in common spaces," reads the rule under "Guests in Common Spaces."

The top comments in the notoriously liberal subreddit noted the obvious racism:

"In order to beat racism we must first become racists ourselves!" wrote one user, /u/Educational-Net303.

Also banned from the POC House:

"Avoid bringing parents/family members that express bigotry," adding "Queer, Black, and Indigenous members should not have to avoid common spaces because of homophobic or racist parents/family members."

Of note, the facility is not run by UC Berkeley, as Assistant Director of Media Relations Adam Ratliff told the outlet, adding that it's "not the role of the campus" to comment on what they do.

"As this involves an off-campus non-affiliated landlord, the campus has no ability under the Code of Student Conduct to discipline the landlord," said Ratliff.
[...]

Since it was established in 2016, the POC house has faced its share of internal problems.

One former member wrote in a Medium article that the house has become known for its "call-out culture" perpetuated by "the lack of intersectionality."

"Several members have been criticized for being white/white passing, aligning themselves with whiteness, or allowing white violence in the house," she wrote.

Stephen Ross, cooperative experience manager for the Berkeley Student Cooperative, told The College Fix that "neither the BSC nor the POC house has an official policy" excluding white guests from common spaces. -The College Fix
"White people can and do live in POC house, but the focus for POC house is providing a safe and supportive living environment for people of color," said Ross - though he added that each of the 20 BSC houses "have their own culture and practices" that develop ovver time, adding that members actively work toward "not making Whiteness central to the experience for members living in the house."

Mogadishu • August 20, 2022
An attack on a popular hotel in the Somali capital has left several people dead, according to police and witnesses, with a rebel militia group detonating explosives outside before gunmen stormed the building. A gun battle with security forces is ongoing as of Saturday morning.

The assault on the upscale Hayat hotel in Mogadishu kicked off late on Friday and was soon claimed by al-Shabaab, an al-Qaeda linked jihadist group based in Somalia. After blasting their way into the building, armed fighters then ran inside and have continued a shootout with police since. Security official Abdukadir Hassan told AFP:
"A huge blast went off a few minutes before the gunmen forced their way into the hotel. The security forces are now engaging with the enemy who are holed up inside the building."

Zelensky faces furious criticism from Ukrainians — WaPo

Little Man • Big Doorway
Many Ukrainians have been infuriated by an admission, from President Vladimir Zelensky, that he concealed news of the imminent Russian special military operation last spring.

That's according to the Washington Post, where he made the revelation earlier this week. Zelensky's disclosure that he sacrificed lives to avoid ruining the economy was his first serious communication blunder since the conflict began, the paper said.

Before Zelensky seemed "beyond reproach, a national hero" to Ukrainians, the publication said, but the acknowledgment has "punctured the bubble, triggering a cascade of public criticism unprecedented since the war began."

In the interview, Zelensky admitted that prior to the outbreak of hostilities with Russia, he was downplaying US warnings about a looming attack out of fear Ukrainians would flee the country en masse.

"If we had communicated that ... then I would have been losing $7 billion a month since last October," he said. Zelensky claimed that this deception of his own people prevented Russia from capturing the country in three days.

Comment: This is just a walk in the park compared to Zelensky's likely future.

Murders at the border and attacks in Jalisco and Guanajuato stun Mexico

Dramatic bouts of violence and mayhem in two regions of Mexico this week have left at least 12 dead and dozens of businesses torched, dramatizing the ability of crime gangs to wreak havoc and shatter the semblance of normality almost anywhere in the country without warning.

On Friday, hundreds of Mexican troops were dispatched to the northern border city of Ciudad Juárez in a bid to bolster security after a series of apparently random gang attacks across town on Thursday and early Friday that left at least 11 dead — including a popular radio personality and three of his co-workers, and two inmates shot in a prison riot. Assailants armed with guns and Molotov cocktails targeted convenience stores, gas stations, a pizza shop and vehicles.

The killings just across the Rio Grande from El Paso came days after roaming bands of criminals hundreds of miles away to the south set fire to dozens of shops, buses and cars, and threw up roadblocks on major arteries across a wide swath of the states of Jalisco and Guanajuato. Among the sites attacked there were some two dozen outlets of Oxxo, a nationwide fast-food, convenience-store chain. Authorities reported one fatality.

Moscow has accused Ukraine of poisoning a number of Russian servicemen in the Russia-controlled part of the ex-Soviet republic's southeastern region of Zaporizhzhia in late July.

The Russian Defense Ministry announced the information on Saturday, saying the servicemen in that region had been taken to a military hospital with signs of serious poisoning on July 31. Tests showed a toxic substance, namely botulinum toxin type B, in their bodies, the ministry added.

Botulinum toxin type B is a neurotoxin that can cause botulism when ingested in contaminated food products.

Despite ministers' calls for the NHS to cut back on 'waste and wokery', some groups use taxpayers' money to put on events around transgender issues, sexuality and racism, often held during the working day. Pictured: NHS staff at London Pride in 2019.
The NHS has spent more than £1million on hundreds of 'woke' staff networks at a time when it desperately needs more cash for patient care.

Nearly 500 of these groups have been set up by health trusts across the UK - taking up around 36,000 hours of staff time a year. Despite ministers' calls for the NHS to cut back on 'waste and wokery', some groups use taxpayers' money to put on events around transgender issues, sexuality and racism, often held during the working day.

These have included 'tea and rainbow cake' picnics, a special session about pronouns and a Filipino martial arts performance. Amid fears of an impending winter NHS crisis, the audit by the TaxPayers' Alliance found there are now at least 493 networks across the UK health service.

'Biden's Gestapo'? Trump raid hurts voter trust in FBI

mar-a-lago raid trump fbi
Last week's raid by the Federal Bureau of Investigation on former President Donald Trump's home has damaged the FBI's standing with Republican and independent voters.

A new national telephone and online survey by Rasmussen Reports finds that 44% of likely U.S. voters say the FBI raid on Trump's Florida home made them trust the FBI less, compared to 29% who say it made them trust the bureau more. Twenty-three percent (23%) say the Trump raid did not make much difference in their trust of the FBI. (To see survey question wording, click here.)

Fifty percent (50%) of voters have a favorable impression of the FBI, including 26% who have a Very Favorable view of the bureau. Forty-six percent (46%) now view the FBI unfavorably, including 29% who have a Very Unfavorable impression of the bureau.

Americans censoring themselves on Covid, race and abortion - survey

While liberal views prevail in public, most groups are far more moderate in private.

A new survey has found that, despite expressing liberal views in public, most Americans' actual beliefs are less extreme. The self-censorship goes two ways, with conservatives less supportive of the policies pushed by Republican politicians than they let on.

The Biden administration and liberal media outlets repeatedly argued that mask-wearing was an effective way of stopping the spread of Covid-19, and while 59% of Americans surveyed in March agreed in public, that number fell to 47% in private. Hispanics and whites were more likely to support pandemic restrictions in public but oppose them in private, as were women. While 63% of women publicly supported masking, only 44% actually believed it was effective.

Comment: The most effective censorship of all is the kind that doesn't have to be enforced at all - people unwilling or unable to say what they really think.
