"We're going to lose a lot of employees over this," local Kansas Machinists union district head Cornell Adams told the publication. Nearly half of 10,000 employees at aircraft companies Textron Inc. and Spirit AeroSystems in Wichita, Kansas, have chosen to forego the Chinese coronavirus jab and are at risk of losing their jobs for not complying with Biden's federal vaccine mandate.
President Joe Biden issued an executive order September 9 requiring all employees working for a federal contractor or subcontractor to get vaccinated against the Chinese coronavirus by November 24 to be considered "fully vaccinated" by a December 8, 2021, deadline.

The iPad and iPhone have a number of components in common, allowing Apple to shift supplies between devices.
Production of the iPad was down 50% from Apple's original plans for the past two months, sources briefed on the matter said, adding that parts intended for older iPhones were also being moved to the iPhone 13.
The iPad and iPhone models have a number of components in common, including both core and peripheral chips. This allows Apple to shift supplies between different devices in certain cases.

A total of 17 energy companies have collapsed since the start of September.
The energy regulator, Ofgem, said the collapse of four small energy suppliers on Tuesday would leave about 24,000 households in need of a new supplier, and bring the total number of bust energy companies to 17 since the start of September, affecting more than 2 million households.
The flurry of failures follows rocketing global energy market prices due to a sudden surge in demand for gas as economies began to shrug off restrictions related to the Covid-19 pandemic. Gas markets have reached record highs in recent weeks, leading to one of the sharpest increases in home energy bills and fears of a cost-of-living crisis this winter.
Comment: It's unlikely to be a sign of a strong and stable economy when tens of companies go bust in such a short period, but then it's not the only sign that the global economy is on the precipice of another collapse:

Harry, who was in year 11, died on Saturday October 30, reports Stoke-on-Trent Live.
He was described as a popular teenager with "care and compassion".
Comment: It's rather odd that the headteacher would specifically request that people don't speculate about the causes of death, more so that he highlights social media users.
England began injecting children of 12 years and up with the experimental coronavirus vaccines recently - going against the advice of the Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation (JCVI) - and so it's possible that the headmaster's reference is related to the vaccine induced injuries and deaths that have occurred to tens of thousands of people across the planet, because with the lowering of the age of the trial subjects, children are now at risk. The headmaster could have easily put an end to this speculation by stating that these children were not jabbed, that he hasn't done so leaves the obvious, valid, and critical question unanswered.
This tragedy comes on the heels of another 'sudden' death of a 12 year-old girl in Scotland from a brain hemorrhage. There's no mention on whether she was jabbed, and there's no mention of what brought on this sudden hemorrhage. However what we do know is that life-threatening blood clots and brain hemorrhages are known to be just one of the severe side effects of these jabs.
The causes of these deaths and whether they are related to the vaccines or not remains to be seen but the data could be critical in protecting other children from harm:
The headteacher of a Lanarkshire secondary school has paid tribute to a "hard-working, respectful" pupil who passed away suddenly last week.See also:
Blantyre's Calderside Academy head teacher, Skayne Dodds, described 12-year-old Gemma Caffrey as "lovely, kind and thoughtful" following her untimely death from a brain haemorrhage last Monday.
The S2 pupil, who attended Townhill Primary School before joining Calderside last year, clearly left her mark on the school community as pupils remembered her during assembly this week, with parents flocking to pay tribute to the teenager on social media.
Headteacher Mr Dodds led the tributes, saying: "The whole of the Calderside School Community is saddened by the passing of Gemma Caffrey.
"Gemma was a lovely, kind and thoughtful girl. She was a hard-working, respectful pupil, who enjoyed school life with her group of close friends.
"Gemma's passing has had a profound effect on the school community and has created a great sense of loss.
"She will always have a place in the hearts of the staff and pupils who knew her. She will be sorely missed.
"The thoughts of the pupils, staff and parents of the Calderside Community are with her family at this sad time."
Others described popular Gemma as "beautiful" and "gorgeous" and sent their condolences to her heartbroken parents Graeme and Alison, of Hamilton.
Alison took to social media this week to thank those who had offered support and sent messages of love.
She also praised her daughter's school saying Calderside Academy had been "very supportive" and that the children in second year will get any support they need during this difficult time.

"Sexual predation by police officers happens far more often than people in the business are willing to admit." — Former Seattle police chief Norm StamperWe are a nation on the brink of a nervous breakdown.
Undeniably, the blowback from COVID-19 lockdowns and mandates continues to reverberate around the country, impacting the nation's struggling workplaces, choking the economy and justifying all manner of authoritarian tyrannies being inflicted on the populace by state and federal governments.
Yet while it is easy to be distracted by political theater, distressed by the COVID-19 pandemic, and divided over authoritarian lockdowns and mandates, there are still darker forces afoot that cannot — should not — must not be ignored.
Here's a news flash for you: there are sexual predators on America's police forces.
Indeed, when it comes to sex trafficking — the buying and selling of young girls, boys and women for sex — police have become both predators and pimps. As the Philadelphia Inquirer reports, "Hundreds of police officers across the country have turned from protectors to predators, using the power of their badge to extort sex."
Victims of sex trafficking report that police are among those "buying" young girls and women for sex. Incredibly, this COVID-19 pandemic has resulted in even greater numbers of children being preyed upon by sex traffickers.
Unfortunately, rather than being part of the solution, America's police forces — riddled with corruption, brutality, sexual misconduct and drug abuse — have largely become part of the problem.

Lauren Gioia stands in a protest against NorthShore University HealthSystem's vaccine mandate outside Evanston Hospital in Evanston, Ill., on Oct. 12, 2021.
In late October, several employees at the Chicago-area NorthShore University HealthSystem filed a legal complaint against the company, arguing that the firm's vaccine mandate discriminated against them by forcing them to decide between a vaccine and their jobs.
Liberty Counsel, which is representing the 14 health care workers, said in an emailed statement last week that the "plaintiffs have shared these religious beliefs, and others, with NorthShore, and have asked NorthShore for exemption and reasonable accommodation for these beliefs, but NorthShore has unlawfully and callously refused."
U.S. District Judge John Kness on Oct. 29 issued a temporary restraining order against the hospital system.

Footballer Emil Pálsson was flown to a hospital for further examination and treatment after collapsing with cardiac arrest during a game in Norway
The 28-year-old Sogndal player suffered the attack as the game against Stjordals-Blink entered the 12th minute, his club said in a statement.
The match took place at the Fosshaugane Campus stadium.
"Midfielder Emil Pálsson had a cardiac arrest in the 12th minute," the statement said.
He was later revived by the medical crew present at the spot and rushed to a hospital where he is now recovering.
Comment: While Pálsson's vaccine status isn't disclosed, the timing and nature of his collapse is suspicious.

The writer is correct. These are stories. Even if the players are confirmed to be vaccinated, each case is an N of 1.
Why should we care?
All kinds of reasons.
Maybe most importantly, stories matter.
The site will no longer automatically recognise people when they are in photos and videos. That tool was marketed as helping tag people in photos that were uploaded, but also allowed Facebook to build a vast library of facial recognition data on the people who use it.
Facebook also said that it would delete that data, in a move that will see it destroy more than a billion people's individual facial recognition templates.
Comment: So Facebook "will continue to work on facial recognition technology within the company," they just won't offer it to the users of their platform. How is that the least bit reassuring? Not being unwittingly tagged in a photo is rather minor in comparison to corporate entities using facial recognition data behind the scenes (and letting intelligence agencies have access to that same data, no doubt). This reeks of a PR move for a company whose public image is currently on the rocks.
