A Russian mother of three has filed a report to the police, saying that debt collectors threatened to infect her children with AIDS over her husband's 30,000-ruble (US$480) debt.

Since early July, the collectors have been bombarding the account of the borrower's wife, Irina Mulykhina, on social media with warnings if the debt isn't settled fast, she claims.

But they clearly crossed the line with one of their messages.

Trump spiritual adviser raises eyebrows claiming illegal immigrant could not be the Messiah

A US televangelist and spiritual adviser to the US president has defended the Trump administration's immigration clampdown, arguing that baby Jesus' stay in Egypt was legal, otherwise he wouldn't have been the savior of humanity.

Pastor Paula White, a Pentecostal evangelist who has been credited with converting President Trump to Christianity, made the eyebrow-raising argument in an interview with CBN News. When asked by the host, Erik Rosales, how the immigration controversy in the US corresponded to biblical teachings, Pastor Paula came up with this argument:

"I think so many people have taken biblical scriptures out of context on this, to say stuff like, 'Well, Jesus was a refugee'. Yes, He did live in Egypt for three-and-a-half years. But it was not illegal. If He had broken the law then He would have been sinful and He would not have been our Messiah."

A Chicago police officer has resigned a month after a video of him standing by while an elderly man harassed a Puerto Rican woman for her "un-American" T-shirt went viral.

Officer Patrick Connor of the Forest Preserves of Cook County Police Department resigned late Wednesday, and the police department say they are continuing to investigate the incident.

In a video filmed last month that recently went viral, Connor can be seen standing by while an irate man harasses Mia Irizarry, who is dressed in a tank top with the Puerto Rican flag on it.

Brandon Foster, 17, of Albion, Orleans County
A 17-year-old from Albion was charged with attempted murder Monday in connection with a violent attack on his grandmother.

Anger over an earlier dispute with his grandmother or the desire to steal money may have motivated Brandon Foster's actions, Orleans County Undersheriff Christopher Bourke said.

"There are some mental-health issues that play into it as well," he said.

Foster allegedly forced open a rear window of Rachael Spearance's home on Oak Orchard Road in the town of Albion late Sunday night. Spearance was asleep in her bed at the time, the Orleans County Sheriff's Office said in a news release.

The majority of respondents in a recent Russian opinion poll believe their country should treat Western nations as partners - yet the public is split over Russia seeking re-entry to the G7 club of developed countries.

According to the survey, conducted by the independent Russian public opinion research center Levada in late June and released on Thursday, 61 percent of Russian citizens feel Moscow must treat the collective West as a partner, while 16 percent see Western nations as competitors and five percent as enemies.

The proportion has changed significantly since January 2017 when 43 percent of Russians supported partner relations with the West, 31 percent saw the West as competitors and seven percent as enemies.

Comment: The results can help explain why Putin has consistently referred to Western countries as its 'partners'. He is reflecting the desires of the people he represents.

FIFA doesn't want broadcasters to cut away to attractive women in the stands during football matches

FIFA's Head of Sustainability and Diversity Federico Addiechi has urged broadcasters to show less cutaways of beautiful women in the stands as part of efforts to tackle sexism in football.

The world football governing body wants to get a more respectful image of female fans attending games as issues of sexual harassment during the World Cup were raised at FIFA media briefing on Wednesday.

FARE (Football Against Racism in Europe) network which works in close cooperation with FIFA and monitors fans behavior at World Cup games said it documented more than 30 cases of women being "accosted in the streets" during the month-long tournament in Russia.

Half of the reported incidents included female broadcasters being harassed while on air.

Comment: The feminist ideology is infecting every public area it seems. Pretty soon Hollywood will have to stop hiring only attractive actors because it encourages sexism. We must remove all attractive people from the world lest we all turn into uncontrollable sexists!!

A grenade-laden, medium-sized drone has targeted the residence of the top security official of Mexico's Baja California state. Luckily for the residents, the explosives were deactivated and failed to detonate.

State police stationed at Gerardo Sosa Olachea's house in Tecate, Mexico, spotted two drones circling around the state public security minister's residence on Tuesday morning. One of the drones then fell on the terrace.

Once the officers rushed to the unmanned aerial vehicle they discovered two grenades duct-taped to it. The drone was also equipped with an audio and video system.

Proposed GOP bill would make illegal border crossing a felony offense

A U.S. Border Patrol agent stands next to the U.S.-Mexico border.
First time offenders who come into the U.S. illegally are generally charged with a misdemeanor - but a new bill aims to change that.

Legislation introduced by Rep. Diane Black, R-Tenn., Tuesday would make illegal entry into the U.S. a felony offense, something she said would act as a "disincentive" to people who are thinking of crossing the border.

"The United States government should never prioritize illegal immigrants over American citizens," Black said in a statement. "By no longer creating incentives to come to our country unlawfully, we also discourage families from sending their children on an often dangerous journey to reach our southern border."

A felony record would hinder an individual attempting to come into the U.S. legally as it would prevent that person from obtaining a green card, Black told Fox News.

Not even the dead are left in peace: Israel prepares to hand over Muslim cemetery and East Jerusalem nature reserve to illegal settlers

Just outside the walls of the Old City in occupied East Jerusalem, a years long demographic battle between the Israeli state and Palestinian residents of the city has found new life in recent weeks.

Right-wing settler NGO Elad, also known as the City of David Foundation, celebrated a win last week when the Interior and Environment Committee of the Knesset, Israel's parliament, advanced a bill that would allow for the construction of Jewish settlement housing to be built inside areas zoned for national parks within municipal boundaries.

The bill, which was introduced last year, proposed that settlement construction be allowed inside the boundaries of archaeological national parks where a "neighborhood" had existed before the park was declared, referring to conglomerates of Jewish settlers living on Palestinian land.

Festival of hypocrisy: Selective spasms of immigration outrage are leading us nowhere

Migrantska kriza u BiH i dio aktivnosti mreže nevladinih udruga u EU
The public can get extremely outraged in a heartbeat. It only takes a coordinated press campaign and some touching pictures. It appears that showing images of children consequently works. It does so now with immigration as it did with Nayirah in Iraq, with Ghouta's Sarin, with Alan Kurdi in Bodrum with Omran Daqneesh in Aleppo (but not with the unnamed girl right of him) and it does again with "children in cages" now. It didn't with Abdullah Issa though. Nor with kids massacred in Yemen which is continuously being bombed with our approval; we just #dontlookaway, don't we? [all together: "Yes, We Do!"]

Comment: Nassim Taleb calls it pedophrasty.

We are led to be selective in our hate. Right and left's forces suddenly are summoned over and against each-other. They blame one-another over the topic at hand while all media write the same headlines as if controlled by an invisible conductor. The hypocrites. Both of them, and so are you are if you're blaming Trump solely because of these cages.

The immigration, "zero tolerance" problem is not a new one. It's been going on for a decade if not longer. Mostly leftist or centrist forces - as some, laughably, would like to refer to Obama's reign - are genuinely mad. In a way they are right of course. We should not live in a world where kids get separated from their parents while fleeing. We live in a globalized world for all these in charge so why fight the same rules when humans are involved and want to relocate on this planet?
