Israeli soldiers attacked military police at gunpoint for arresting comrades over Sde Teiman abuse

Israeli soldiers from Force 100, which guards Palestinian detainees at the Sde Teiman detention camp in Israel, attacked military police investigators in July when they came to arrest their colleagues on suspicion of abusing and sodomizing a Gazan detainee, according to investigative military policemen involved in the arrest. The soldiers seized the suspects from the investigators at gunpoint and barricaded themselves with the suspects in another building at the base.

Even though the military police has witness testimonies to the assault, it has not investigated, on the grounds that the assaulted soldiers are afraid to officially complain even though in its aftermath, some of the investigators involved stopped fulfilling operational roles, and one stopped showing up for reserves duty.

According to sources and information obtained by Haaretz, shortly after the incident, the military detectives and investigators involved in arresting the suspects described a severe attack. Two testified that they were pepper sprayed and one told, in tears, how a rifle barrel was shoved against his torso to force him to release a suspect.

Comment: Welcome to Israel "the only democracy in the Middle East", or so they say.

While lawfare frequently has targeted GOP politicians, the tactic is spreading to the legal profession as a group called "The 65 Project" has taken to social media vowing to go after the licenses of attorneys who chose to work for former President Donald Trump.

The 65 Project, which launched earlier this year as a "bipartisan" watchdog with both prominent Democrats and Republicans, announced it had launched digital and print advertisements in swing states such as Wisconsin and Michigan with the stark warning, "Don't lose your law license because of Trump."

The managing director of the project said that 86 bar complaints have already been filed against attorneys who have filed election lawsuits on behalf of Trump following the 2020 election.

Almost all of Ukraine's thermal power generation capabilities have been destroyed by Russian long-range strikes, Prime Minister Denis Shmigal has said, adding that the country must now rely on substitutes.

Writing on Telegram on Tuesday, Shmigal said Kiev is doing its best to increase energy sustainability, especially in frontline regions and areas bordering Russia. He added that "cities that depend on large thermal power plants are especially vulnerable," given that Russia "purposefully attacked" these types of facilities, "destroying or damaging almost 90% of all thermal power generation" in the country.

The prime minister added that Kiev's priority is to provide these regions with alternative sources of heat and electricity, noting that Kharkov, the country's second-largest city, has received dozens of energy equipment units, including powerful electricity generators.

Mayor and 15 others killed in Israeli strike on Lebanon council meeting

The UN's special coordinator for Lebanon has criticised Israel after air strikes on municipal buildings in the southern city of Nabatieh killed the mayor and 15 other people.

Jeanine Hennis-Plasschaert called the killing of mayor Ahmad Kahil "alarming" and said any violations of international humanitarian law were "completely unacceptable".

At least five of those killed in Wednesday's strike were municipal staff co-ordinating aid for civilians remaining in the area, Nabatiyeh Governor Howaida Turk told the BBC.

Lebanon's caretaker prime minister, Najib Mikati condemned the attack, saying it had "intentionally" targeted a council meeting.

The attack was the most significant against a Lebanese state building since the latest escalation in fighting, which began about two weeks ago, and has raised concerns about the safety of the country's state infrastructure.

Comment: It's a common Israeli tactic to kill those who're trying to help.

New fear campaign for Bird Flu vax - Dr. Peter McCullough

avian flu
Dr. Peter McCullough is a renowned cardiologist who has been fighting the government CV19 vax propaganda from the beginning. Dr. McCullough is on record saying "The CV19 vaccine did not help a single person." Now, Dr. McCullough is fighting a new false government narrative on the Bird Flu. They just held the "International Bird Flu Summit" near Washington D.C in early October. At the same time, they were holding a Bird Flu summit in Arkansas for veterinarians.

So, the evidence says, they are planning on a new pandemic. Dr. McCullough, who monitored both summits, says,
"This is what we learned. Bird Flu is spreading around because it actually came out of a lab. It came out of the USAD research lab in Athens Georgia. . . . Bird Flu has been around for a hundred years, and the current version is very mild. There have been just over 10,000 animal deaths, yet, they have intentionally culled or killed tens of millions of healthy chickens."

Reports continue to emerge that Israel is implementing the 'General's Plan' to force Palestinians to leave their homes or starve in northern Gaza

Israeli military strikes killed at least 55 Palestinians across the Gaza Strip in the past 24 hours, the Gaza Health Ministry reported on 15 October, as Israel continues its operation, known as the Generals' Plan, to expel northern Gaza's remaining 300,000 Palestinian inhabitants.

Palestinian health officials reported at least 11 people killed by Israeli fire on Tuesday near the Al-Falouja neighborhood in Jabalia camp in northern Gaza, while 10 more were killed when an Israeli missile targeted a house in Bani Suhaila in Khan Yunis in the south of the strip.

Earlier on Tuesday, another Israeli airstrike destroyed three houses in the Sabra suburb of Gaza City. Rescue workers said they recovered two bodies from the destroyed homes, while 12 others believed to have been in the houses at the time of the strike remain missing.

UK police union rep suspended for telling the truth

You really couldn't make this stuff up.

Rick Prior, the Chair of the Met Police Federation, recently gave an interview to GB News highlighting the fact that some police officers are reluctant to engage with members of ethnic minorities because they could be labelled as being 'discriminatory'. Prior was then duly suspended by the Police Federation of England and Wales (PFEW) for being discriminatory.

As a serving officer, I can tell you that the fear of suspension, or worse, if an interaction 'goes wrong' is all pervading. Aside from the obvious physical dangers, we know there are many activists and keyboard warriors out there who are just waiting to take some phone footage out of context and put it online, along with their mischievous interpretation of events. Also (and this is far worse), we know that police senior management will hang an officer out to dry if it means extricating themselves from any blame, regardless of context. They can then point to a 'rogue officer' rather than address any failings at a strategic level - of which there are many.

Pub landlords could have to become 'banter cops' to stop themselves being sued by staff offended by comments from customers under workers' rights reforms

bar drinks
Pub bosses may have to become 'banter cops' to stop themselves from being sued by staff who are offended by customers under Labour's new reforms.

Business leaders have warned that the incoming Employment Rights Bill will make employers liable for their staff being offended by the public.

Bosses will legally have to take 'all reasonable steps' to prevent harassment by third parties relating to protected characteristics, including sex, gender reassignment or age.

Walgreens to shutter 1,200 stores nationwide, says 1 in 4 locations are unprofitable

Walgreens announced that it will shutter 1,200 stores over the next three years — and 500 locations in 2025 alone — as the drugstore giant seeks to slash $1 billion in costs.

The Chicago-based pharmacy chain, which has around 8,700 locations nationwide, told analysts on Tuesday that one in four of its stores are unprofitable.

The closures were announced in June but the company had not disclosed the number of affected stores at that time. It had said it could shutter up to a quarter of stores, which is more than 2,000 locations.

Walgreens did not disclose which locations will be shuttered or how many jobs would be eliminated.

Comment: It would be an interesting exercise to map those store closings against Democrat-run cities. Probably a lot of overlap.

Americans' trust in the news media is at a new, record low, with only 31% expressing a "great deal" or "fair amount" of trust and confidence in the media to report the news "fully, accurately and fairly."

That's according to a recent poll from Gallup, which surveyed 1,007 adults aged 18 and older from Sept. 3-15, 2024.

The poll found Americans were most likely to have trust in local and state governments.

Here's what Gallup's poll found:
