A Richmond, Virginia, police officer who threatened a group of black middle school students last week is currently being investigated by the police department.

Video footage of the interaction was shared on Facebook by Tenesha Calloway, the mother of one of the students involved in the incident. The officer, whose identity has not been revealed, heard someone say "f**k the police" while he was patrolling the neighborhood. As a result, the officer yells, "Wait until your a**es turn 18, then you're mine," from his patrol vehicle, directing his statement toward the group of students. However, according to students who were confronted, they were not even the ones who cursed at the officer in the first place.

"While waiting to walk to their after school program a Richmond City Police officer drove past my daughter and her classmates that were standing in front of Albert Hill Middle School, made a U turn and yelled out of his window 'What did you say?'" Calloway wrote on Facebook.

'Threat to our way of life' - British soldiers filmed using photo of Corbyn for target practice

Jeremy Corbyn shot British soldiers

A video clip circulating social media appearing to show soldiers shooting a picture of Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn, is to be investigated by the British Army, according to the UK Ministry of Defence.

Ex-Army Sergeant, Trevor Coult, posted the footage on Twitter saying: "Not looking good for a Labour leader." Coult has since deleted the 26-second clip that seemingly originates from Snapchat.

The Ministry of Defence confirmed that the video, showing British troops shooting a Corbyn image at a shooting range in Kabul, is genuine.

Comment: These soldiers just expressed what their like-minded types in the establishment feel about Corbyn. If you see it from their perspective (a portion of them anyway), Corbyn is an existential threat to the fun they derive from killing people.

The UK has been at war continuously since 1914. They're not about to let some bloody socialist come in and put an end to it.

Britain has been at war continuously for 104 years

A tangential possibility is that they were put up to it as part of 'hate week' against Corbyn:

UK judge sparks controversy by saying man having sex with wife is 'fundamental human right'

UK English Central Family court of protection
A row has erupted after a judge spoke in court about the "fundamental human right" of a man to have sex with his wife.

The remark was made by Mr Justice Hayden, who had been asked to consider imposing a court order preventing a man from having sex with his wife of 20 years because she may no longer be able to give her consent.

The case had been brought to the court of protection, which considers cases where people lack the mental capacity to make their own decisions, by lawyers for a council's social services after the condition of the woman, who has learning difficulties, began to deteriorate.

NY Magazine's 'collusion' pusher mocked mercilessly for doubling down on his Russiagate conspiracy theory

A writer for New York Magazine has rehashed his most outlandish theory that US President Donald Trump could have been a Russian asset since the 1980s - and has been mercilessly mocked on Twitter for his efforts.

Proving that Russiagate is the conspiracy that just won't die - even in light of the Mueller report which found no evidence of collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia - New York Magazine writer Jonathan Chait has revisited a piece he published in July 2018 in order to see how well it holds up today.

The article in question - which made the magazine's front cover - extravagantly contended that Trump could have been compromised by Moscow as far back as 1987. That claim holds up "extremely well" today according to Chait, who doubled down on Twitter on Tuesday, insisting that Russia holds "secret leverage" over Trump.

Border Patrol agent talks with a group suspected of having entered the U.S. illegally near McAllen, Texas.
Residents in a Texas border town say they are living in fear of so-called "cartel coyotes." According to residents near the Falfurrias border checkpoint on Monday, the area has become a stomping ground for human traffickers.

One rancher - identified only as Solia - said she regularly sees armed cartel gunman directing groups of illegal migrants as with as many as 70 people through her property in hopes of bypassing border check points. She also said the groups frequently threaten residents to stay quiet.

"They just put a finger to their lips and it's like... 'you better not say anything'...they know what we drive, they know where we live," explained the Texas rancher. "They were trying to get in towards the house."

Solia said she feels so threatened that she can no longer leave her house without a gun. She also said the number of human traffickers she sees has increased over the past years, and clearly illustrates the need for a wall at the border.

Firefighters are tackling a huge blaze at one of the oldest church buildings in Blackburn.

It started just before 05:30 BST in The Bureau Centre for the Arts, in the former Church of St John the Evangelist, which opened in 1789. The Grade II-listed building is thought to be the oldest church in the town.

The Dean of Blackburn Cathedral, the Very Reverend Peter Howell-Jones, tweeted: "Very sad to see.......just praying now one was hurt."

Blackburn with Darwen Council, which owns the building, said it would work with the Bureau's directors to discuss its future. Watch manager Chris Archer said the cause of the fire was not suspicious.

Radical Islamic preachers gaining increasing influence in Dutch education

The AIVD building in Zoetermeer
Dutch intelligence service AIVD warns of radical influences in education in its annual report for 2018. According to the service, "radical Islamic boosters" play an increasingly emphatic role in the education offer for young Muslims in the Netherlands. In the long term, this could undermine the democratic legal order, the AIVD said, NOS reports.

As examples, the AIVD mentioned the "at first sight accessible and innocent" after-school lessons in Arabic and Islam. "We believe, however, that children and young people are alienated from society by this interpretation of education and may be hindered in their participation in society. This is caused by the intolerant and anti-democratic views of the initiators. According to the AIVD, "a new group of eloquent preachers" has been trained, and part of this group is not necessarily opposed to the violent jihadist ideology.

'Unconstitutional censorship': US intelligence veterans sue to end arbitrary review of their books

A group of ex-spooks is suing the Defense Department and spy agencies for the right to publish books on their careers without being subjected to arbitrary censorship that favors tales depicting the government in a favorable light.

Claiming that the "prepublication review" system inflicted on all employees with security clearances is overly broad, arbitrary and capricious, and flagrantly unconstitutional, amounting to a "far-reaching system of prior restraint," the American Civil Liberties Union and the Knight First Amendment Institute are suing the Central Intelligence Agency, the National Security Agency, the Office of the Director of National Intelligence, and the Defense Department on behalf of five former federal employees who argue the byzantine, confusing system has hurt them professionally.

The system also expedites the publication of memoirs favorable to the national security state and the government, while slow-walking or squelching others, the plaintiffs claim, citing emails obtained through a parallel Freedom of Information Act lawsuit that show security reviewers were under pressure to turn Hillary Clinton and James Comey's books around in under two months, while book-length manuscripts typically take about a year to review and some - including the plaintiffs' own works - take much longer.

'Why is no one talking about this?' Big business fuels EU refugee influx, filmmaker Lauren Southern tells RT

African immigrants celebrate as they enter the immigrant center CETI in the Spanish enclave Ceuta, August 22, 2018
A well-organized criminal syndicate that uses bribes and false promises is responsible for the nearly 60,000 African migrants who arrived in Spain last year, filmmaker Lauren Southern told RT.

Southern's latest documentary, 'Borderless,' features a rare interview with a human trafficker who helps ferry migrants from Morocco to Spain. The man explained that each client pays between €2,000 ($2,248) and €4,000 ($4,495) for the trip - a business model which Southern described as incredibly lucrative.
"Imagine how much money you're making. It's €130,000 per boat. Ten boats in a day? You're making $1.3 million. Why is no one talking about this massive criminal syndicate?"

Cambridge University's shameful and ignorant treatment of Jordan Peterson

Jordan Peterson
On Wednesday, March 20, the Faculty of Divinity at the University of Cambridge sent the following tweet:

The circumstances around this event bear careful examination. For they reveal not only a betrayal of the university's fundamental purpose, but also the loss of something far more wide-reaching, something without which no higher civilization can survive: a shared understanding of ourselves.
