Gay sports radio commentator sends a homophobic tweet to himself in an attempt to extort his employer

Openly gay sports commentator Seth Dunlap is on a leave of absence from WWL after a homophobic tweet was directed at him from the station's official Twitter account.
A New Orleans radio station is claiming a homophobic tweet sent from its official Twitter account was actually sent by the gay staffer the message was targeting.

Earlier this month, New Orleans quarterback Drew Brees was criticized for appearing in a video produced by Focus on the Family (FoF), an evangelical organization known for its zealous opposition to LGBT equality. The clip was promoting FoF's "Bring Your Bible to School Day" on October 3, but opponents slammed Brees for aligning at all with an organization that endorses conversion therapy and spent thousands to fight marriage equality.

Days later, Brees clarified he wasn't homophobic and didn't know about FoF's anti-gay agenda. In a video posted on Twitter, he claimed he did the PSA because he liked the message of people being "able to live out your faith with confidence."

Thomas Gilbert, Jr. appeared in Manhattan Criminal Court, Jan. 9, 2015. Gilbert, who is also suspect of burning down a historic Hamptons home is charged with fatally shooting his father, hedge fund manager Thomas Gilbert, Sr.
A heartbroken mother pleaded for a New York City judge on Friday to give leniency to her Ivy League educated son, who was convicted for the execution-style murder of her husband.

Shelley Gilbert prepared a handwritten victim impact statement to read in Manhattan Supreme Court before Justice Melissa Jackson sentenced her son, Thomas Gilbert Jr., to 30 years to life in prison.

"My husband would still be alive today if we got him to a psychiatric hospital 15 years ago," Shelley Gilbert read, her voice cracking as Gilbert Jr. glanced at her over his right shoulder.

The 34-year-old Princeton University graduate was found guilty in June for killing his 70-year-old father, Thomas Gilbert Sr., on Jan. 4, 2015. Gilbert Sr., the founder of Wainscott Capital Partners, was found with a gunshot wound to the head inside the bedroom of his Beekman Place apartment.

Mattel firmly commits to confusing children by introducing a gender-neutral line of Barbie dolls

gender neutral dolls
The war against genders is still on. More than ever. After Céline Dion's "gender-neutral" clothing line for children (which contained horrifying symbolism), Mattel has released dolls that assume no identifiable gender.

The gender-neutral dolls of the new Creatable World toy line let kids accessorize the toy to be a boy, a girl, both or neither. The six dolls have different skin colors, hairstyles, and clothing to "celebrate the positive impact of inclusivity." Each customizable doll comes with long and short hair wigs, skirts, pants, shirts, jackets, hats, and various shoes. To achieve "gender-neutrality", Mattel toned down feminine and masculine features, such as Barbie's breasts and Ken's broad shoulders. The line is said to be geared towards kids who identify as gender-fluid, meaning they don't identify as having a fixed gender like male or female.

According to Mattel's website, the line is "designed to keep labels out and invite everyone in, giving kids the freedom to create their own customizable characters again and again".

Comment: If there's any justice left in the world, Mattel will join the list of companies who "get woke and go broke". Here is the vomit-inducing video of discussion:

The Left can't meme: The New York Times' attempt to meme Trump is an abysmal failure

The New York Times tried its hand at a Star Wars meme to celebrate the launch of impeachment proceedings against President Donald Trump - and proved what conservatives have been saying for years: the Left can't meme.

"A long time coming for a White House far from reality," the clip reads, before launching into scrolling text designed to mimic the opening to the Star Wars films. Titled "Episode 45," the meme features two and a half minutes of every misdeed - real and imagined - committed by Trump during his presidency, heavy on the Russiagate conspiracy theorizing.

Elderly Patients Nationwide Lured into Criminal Scheme; Centers for Program Integrity & Medicare Services Takes Administrative Action against Providers that Submitted Over $1.7 Billion in Claims

A federal law enforcement action involving fraudulent genetic cancer testing has resulted in charges in five federal districts against 35 defendants associated with dozens of telemedicine companies and cancer genetic testing laboratories (CGx) for their alleged participation in one of the largest health care fraud schemes ever charged. According to the charges, these defendants fraudulently billed Medicare more than $2.1 billion for these CGx tests. Among those charged today are 10 medical professionals, including nine doctors.

The Department of Justice, Criminal Division, together with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Office of the Inspector General (HHS-OIG) and FBI spearheaded today's landmark investigation and prosecution that resulted in charges against CEOs, CFOs and others.

In addition, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, Center for Program Integrity (CMS/CPI), announced today that it took adverse administrative action against cancer genetic testing companies and medical professionals who submitted more than $1.7 billion in claims to the Medicare program.

A Florida school was briefly put on high alert after a staff member misheard the word "bong" as "bomb," prompting an emergency evacuation. Fortunately for all involved, nothing went up in smoke.

When a concerned family member phoned Marianna High School to report that a student had brought a bong to class in their bag earlier this week, a school employee took it the wrong way, declaring an emergency and evacuating the school over what was interpreted as a bomb threat.

Des Moines Register fires journalist behind Carson King scandal after intense public backlash

Carson King, former Des Moines Register journalist
The Des Moines Register has fired the journalist behind a controversial report on Carson King, the sports fan who raised over $1.7 million for charity with a plea for beer money, after offensive tweets by the reporter surfaced.

Editor Carol Hunter wrote about the paper's decision in a lengthy post on Thursday night, stating that the reporter, Aaron Calvin, "is no longer with the Register."

King went viral earlier this month after he displayed a sign on ESPN's 'College Game Day' requesting Venmo donations to re-stock his "Busch Light Supply," and ultimately racked up nearly $2 million in contributions. Not content to keep the money for himself, King offered to donate the funds to a local children's hospital, which was soon matched by beer maker Anheuser-Busch. But King's new-found fame would soon veer toward infamy.

Comment: 'Cancel culture' run mad. The mainstream media undercuts its credibility every time it bows to SJW lunacy. The backlash from the Des Moines Register readers should have clued them in.

Shearing the sheep: 'Friends of the IDF' event raises $37 million for Israeli 'heroes' in NY

New Yorkers shamelessly funding a terrorist group
On September 25, the Friends of the Israel Defense Forces (FIDF) held its annual gala dinner and raised $37 million for programs supporting Israeli military members.

The FIDF was established in 1981 and bills itself as "anon-political, non-military organization that provides for wellbeing of the soldiers of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), veterans and family members." The group provides soldiers with academic scholarships and financial aid, it also aims to assist soldiers who have been wounded. The New York Hilton Midtown event attracted over 1,200 attendees including a delegation of active duty IDF members.

Comment: Disgraceful. And these sorts of events are only the tip of the iceberg. Gilad Atzmon posts on the subject:
The fact that America is funding Israeli expansionism is not new, however, in this must watch episode Jake Morphonios delves into the scale of that broad daylight plunder of Americans' taxpayers' money. I highly advise Americans and everyone else to watch to this superb work of investigative journalism:

Blackstone Intelligence Network writes:
"It doesn't matter if you are a hard-working American. YOU are not entitled to keep your own income. YOU are a cash cow for the Zionist state of Israel. America's labor force is Israel's Golden Goose. And I am going to show you the financial statistics to prove it."

Stoicism vs. Identity Politics: What is Properly 'I' And 'Mine'?

Stoa Poikile

Stoa Poikile
People in the Western world are increasingly divided by identity politics. That is, by identifying themselves or being forced to identify, to their very core, with the colour of their skin, their gender, sexual orientation and so on.

Much has already been said about the dangers of such a racist and exclusionist worldview, and it's worth looking into, and it is certainly the case that the ruling establishment is the primary benefactor of this divisive ideology, all in a desperate attempt to maintain the crumbling status quo, i.e. their grip on power.

The conception of the self as conceived by the Stoic philosophy tradition, primarily focusing on the Greek Stoic philosopher Epictetus (c. AD 55-135) and his Discourses, which might appeal to people that are put off by identity politics nonsense and the inevitable decadence and degradation of self/other relation which such an ideology leads to.

Fortified caves found in Syria where terrorists planned assaults, made drones and filmed fake chemical attack videos

The Syrian Army has discovered a huge cave network near the recently liberated city of Khan Sheikhoun, a former terrorist stronghold in Idlib. RT has been given exclusive access to the sophisticated underground fortress.

Some 3,500 terrorists were holed up in the caves before their defeat in August. They turned their underground shelter, which covered 10,000 square meters, into a stronghold from which they could operate autonomously. Numerous crates with ammunition and weapons, including what appears to be American TOW anti-tank missiles, still remain abandoned in the tunnels.
