Society's Child
When asked by Gateway Pundit if she wanted to comment on the video, one of the mother's of a 14-year-old child who was present said that she was "too busy crying."
The heartbroken mom cried as she reacted to the video, horrified that no adults stepped in to protect the children from the racist hate being spewed at them. The men were cursing the boys out, calling them "dirty ass crackers," "racist bastards," and worse.
In this short article, I want to analyze a somewhat different question: Why do we value the truth at all? This was a major theme in Bernard Williams' seminal 2004 book Truth and Truthfullness: An Essay in Genealogy. Inspired by the work of Nietzsche, especially his essay "On Truth and Falsity in a Nonmoral Sense" and On the Genealogy of Morality, Williams asks a different set of questions to those normally seen in standard philosophy. Most philosophers ask questions like "What is truth?" or "How can we discover truth?" These are obviously important questions and no right-minded person would be indifferent to them. But what Williams (following Nietzsche) is interested in is the "virtue" of truth; what roles does truth play in our lives, and is it valuable? How much truth are people really capable of handling? Are there circumstances where untruth might actually be valuable or even expected? These are peculiar questions, but asking them can help us get a better grip on why truth is virtuous, and why our post-truth era suffers from so many defects.
Comment: Even if it were so that the meaning of everything turns out to be nothing interesting, perhaps it is more about the search for 'truth' in of itself and its correct application of it in our lives that provides the meaning. What makes it interesting is the process of discovery, through trial and error, that adds to a richer understanding of the world around us. And with it, better equipped to place a more critical valuation on those things which improve our lives and those which worsen it. See also:

Harvard Medical School recently unveiled a project called the Sexual and Gender Minorities Health Equity Initiative styled as "a three-year plan to amend the core MD curriculum" to reflect recent beliefs about transgenderism and gender ideology. The program is meant to teach medical students how to "provide high-quality, holistic health care for sexual and gender minority patients of all ages."
The new program seeks a broad overhaul of the medical school's curriculum in order to eliminate "assumptions or errors about sex and gender, such as conflating sexual orientation with gender identity, presuming gender is immutable or treating heterosexuality as a default."
"The plan encompasses curriculum reform, faculty development, continuous quality assessment and global dissemination, as well as increased efforts to recruit and support students, faculty and staff with interests or experience in [sexual and gender minority] health," the announcement on Harvard Medical's website reads.

The NYT's dirty little secret: Progressives keep quiet about Palestine out of fear for their careers
The 51-year-old legal scholar and civil rights advocate begins by quoting Martin Luther King's courageous coming out against the Vietnam War in 1967, when it could do him no good. Just as speaking up for Palestinians can only hurt our careers today thanks to the "well-documented power" of the Israel lobby.
The official Twitter account of the Israel Defence Forces has posted a mocking picture featuring a map of the Middle East with an arrow drawn pointing at Syria and captioned "where Iran is" and several arrows pointing to Iran on the map with the caption "where Iran belongs" in an apparent reference to Israeli claims that Tehran has sent units from its Quds Force to the Arab Republic.
Walkin' down the street, smoggy-eyedThe term Ghetto comes from the Jewish area of Venice in 1516. It's dictionary definition is 'A part of a city, especially a slum area, occupied by a minority group or groups'. Students of the Jewish Holocaust will recall the ghettoes created in Poland for the Jews. Steven Spielberg's great masterpiece film Schindler's List (1993) captured the horror and deprivation of the Cracow Ghetto. Obviously, that type of ghetto will always be placed on the top of the list along with today's Gaza Strip, guarded so efficiently and free of humanitarian aid by the Israelis. Is there some sort of terrible comparison here, whereupon the relatives of many who were destroyed by the Nazis are now responsible for ditto to the Palestinians? Food for another column, yes?
Looking at the sky, starry-eyed
Searchin' for the place, weary-eyed
Crying in the night, teary-eyed
Don't you know that it's true
That for me and for you
The world is a ghetto

It turns out that Nathan Phillips is raising money with the help of a major big-money left-wing operation, and has a history of appearing in the press claiming to be a victim of anti-Native racism.
In 2015, Phillips claimed that he was "bombarded by racial slurs" by students at Eastern Michigan University.
HEALTHY 13 YEAR OLD GIRLS GO UNDER THE KNIFE.
At Children's Hospital Los Angeles, transgender industry Dr. Johanna Olson-Kennedy refers healthy but confused teen girls as young as age 13 to the surgeon for radical mastectomy - "top surgery," or "chest surgery." Girls and young women will likely also have their uterus, ovaries and fallopian tubes rooted out before too long. Many even go through outrageous surgical horrors to jerry-rig some sort of pseudo-"penis." Because they're "men"! Or at least, so they have been led to believe by the "trans" industry.
And what about the "women"? In the United States, boys who think they're really girls can get their genitals de-fleshed and inverted to become a pseudo-"vagina" when they are as young as age 16. Surgeons say they would prefer to do these operations before the boys finish high school, because they suppose the parents would wait on these lads - oh sorry - "girls" - hand and foot during the several months of aftercare.
Forget about waiting for years and years to get this party started, going to therapy or any of that nonsense. Many "gender" clinics in the USA go by the "informed consent" model - which means it's really "on demand." Health insurers now scramble to cover the greatest variety of unnecessary surgical procedures for teens and adults with the minor mental illness of "gender dysphoria."

It seems obvious now to look at the money behind transgenderism.
[..]
Over the past decade, there has been an explosion in transgender medical infrastructure across the United States and world to "treat" transgender people. In addition to gender clinics proliferating across the United States, hospital wings are being built for specialized surgeries, and many medical institutions are clamoring to get on board with the new developments.
Doctors are being trained in cadaver symposiums across the world in all manner of surgeries related to transgender individuals, including phalloplasty, vaginoplasty, facial feminization surgery, urethral procedures, and more. More and more American corporations are covering transgender surgeries, drugs, and other expenses. Endocrinologists seeking the fountain of youth in hormones for more than a generation, and the subsequent earnings for marketing those hormones, are still on a quest for gold.
Puberty blockers are another growing market. The plastic surgery arm of medicine is staged for an infusion of cash as well as organ transplants, especially womb transplants for men identifying as women who may want future pregnancies.

Nonpartisan polling firm Crowdpac analyzed federal campaign-contribution records going back to 1980 - scoring individual donors on where they fall on the political spectrum based on which candidates the gave money to, reports Business Insider.
According to CEO and cofounder Steve Hilton, the donation information "is the heart of the Crowdpac data model" since its "research shows that campaign contributions are the best predictor of how a candidate will behave in office."
Hilton explained that Crowdpac's main goal is to provide people "good objective, nonpartisan information about the candidates on their ballot in a simple form that they can understand."
The company believes this will help "boost the number of small donors and reduce the influence of big money in politics."
As part of its analysis, Crowdpac is able to break down where various professions fall on the political spectrum. It provided that data to Business Insider. -Business Insider

A young girl died and another was hospitalized after the snow fort they created collapsed outside of an Illinois church.
Authorities were called to Rothem Church in the Chicago suburb of Arlington Heights on Sunday afternoon after the girl and her 9-year-old friend were found trapped in the snow.
The girls had dug a tunnel through a large snow bank created by plows, Chicago's WGN reports. Arlington Heights police said the makeshift fort collapsed on the girls while their families were attending a church service. The girls' families found them under the snow about an hour later. It was unknown how long the girls were trapped.
