Malaysia bound AirAsia flight ends up in Melbourne due to multiple pilot errors

Air Asia
A flight to Malaysia from Sydney accidentally flew to Melbourne instead because its pilot entered the wrong coordinates, an Australian aviation investigation report has found.

Carrying 212 passengers, the AirAsia flight bound for Kuala Lumpur on March 10, 2015, was incorrectly guided to Melbourne after the pilot manually entered the wrong coordinates into the flight's onboard navigation systems.

It was the first of several errors the flight crew made that day, according to the report (PDF) the Australian Transport Safety Bureau published Wednesday.

Faulty earmuffs prompted the captain and the first officer to swap their preflight duties. The captain usually conducts an external inspection, while the first officer remains in the cockpit to complete preparation procedures.

Violent animal in form of cop gets job back after paralyzing innocent grandpa by slamming his head into the ground

Sureshbhai Patel
This is America.
Although the governor of Alabama formally apologized to the Indian government last year and promised that justice would be served, Madison police officer Eric Parker, the cop who left an innocent elderly grandfather paralyzed, not only escaped justice — but is now back on the job.

In what can only be described as the epitome of everything wrong with police in America today, this brutal monster, who attacked and left severely disabled, an innocent old man out for a walk, will have his badge reinstated, his gun given back, and put out on the streets to strike again.

In a statement Tuesday morning, by Major Jim Cooke, the acting Madison police chief, it was announced that Parker will return to work following a long-term paid vacation.

"Officer Eric Parker will return from administrative leave today and will be assigned to the MPD Training Unit until he completes his required re-certifications. After his training is complete, he will receive his duty assignment," reads the statement.

Comment: What can we say? American justice at its best.

Thanks to US hegemony, 1 out of every 200 children are now refugees

children on fence

Nearly 50 million children have been uprooted from their homes around the world, and 28 million of those are refugees fleeing violence and conflict—and "that is a conservative estimate," according to a UNICEF report published Tuesday.

The total number of child refugees doubled between 2005 and 2015, the report says, and children now comprise half of all refugees despite accounting for less than a third of the global population.

The report, "Uprooted: The Growing Crisis for Refugee and Migrant Children," (pdf) presents "for the first time, comprehensive, global data about these children," UNICEF writes.

A stunning 100,000 child refugees are traveling without their parents or families.

Comment: Child refugees face beatings, rapes and death and this is if they can even be accounted for. They wouldn't be forced into these positions if the warmongering US and their western allies weren't hellbent on world domination.

'Systemic breakdown': 16yo girl died in juvenile jail as staff ignored her dead body, lawsuit claims

Gynnya McMillen

Gynnya McMillen gasped for air amid a seizure as a juvenile jail staffer watched and did nothing, and for the next 10 hours, staffers ignored her dead body in a "systemic breakdown" of duty, according to an state investigation revealed in a new lawsuit.

Arrested for dubious reasons and taken to a Kentucky juvenile detention center more than an hour from her home, McMillen, 16, was left to die on January 10 as several staff members at Lincoln Village Regional Juvenile Detention Center failed to perform basic duties to ensure the unresponsive teenager was safe, a federal lawsuit filed by her family on August 31 against the Kentucky Department of Juvenile Justice and Lincoln Village employees has alleged.

Portable straightjackets: NYPD introduces restraining bags to deal with the 'emotionally disturbed'

police bags
The tone of policing in America is on a downward spiral as cops around the nation are hardening themselves against a public that is growing more and more frightened of the thin blue line. Along with many well-publicized incidents that make it to national media, many concerning changes are happening outside of the limelight. An example of this is a new living body bag that is being used to restrain uncooperative individuals.

Earlier this year the New York Police Department (NYPD), an organization of some 34,000 uniformed officers and an annual budget surpassing $5 billion, introduced a new crime fighting device, the 'restraining bag,' or as it is sometimes affectionately called, 'the burrito.' It is essentially a full-body sized duffel bag that officers can stuff a perpetrator into and cart him off to jail like a piece of luggage.

Manufactured by DeSantis Gunhide, a division of HELGEN Industries Inc., the EDP bag, which is an acronym for 'emotionally disturbed person,' retails from $750 to $899 and has already been used hundreds of times in 2016 by the NYPD. As reported by Gothamist, the EDP bag was used 122 times in a 110-day period between January and April of 2016, with one very disturbing incident being caught on video by a concerned bystander.

Dog bites suffered by young children often inflicted by the family dog

children dog bits
© Christian Damböck People trust their own dog and exclude the possibility of a bite incident.

Dog bites suffered by young children are often inflicted by the family dog. Such incidents frequently occur despite the presence of an adult. Even benign behaviours on the part of children, such as hugging the dog, can trigger an aggressive response from the animal. A survey of dog owners conducted by researchers from the Institute of Animal Husbandry and Animal Welfare at Vetmeduni Vienna shows that people underestimate risky situations involving the family dog. A better understanding of the dog's needs and simple measures such as child-free resting and feeding places for the dogs can significantly reduce the risk of dog bites. The analysis of the survey was published in the Journal of Veterinary Behavior.

Children love petting dogs, playing with them and crawling after them. They especially love to hug or cuddle the family dog. Unwanted close contact sometimes causes dogs to feel harassed and they respond by snapping at the child. Many cases of dog bites involving small children happen in everyday lifeas the result of an apparently friendly interaction on the part of the child.

Comment: SOTT has been documenting unusual canine behavior for the past several years, noting that even apparently docile family pets can turn on their owners with little provocation.

Mother of Russian pilot who was kidnapped and tortured by US government pleads with Obama to return her son

The mother of Russian pilot Konstantin Yaroshenko addressed US President Barack Obama with a letter asking him to show mercy and return her son, who is currently serving a 20-year sentence in New Jersey's Fort Dix prison, to Russia.

The woman, Lyubov Yaroshenko, told Izvestia Daily that she would exhaust all means to have her son returned to Russia, and even after failing to receive justice from the US court system, she still hopes that Nobel Peace Prize laureate Barack Obama will help her.

"American lawyers have spent a whole year gathering proof that my son is not guilty or complicit in crimes he was convicted of. There are irrefutable facts that prove that the sentence passed by Judge Jed Rakoff was a mistake. I am confident that the truth will sooner or later become public and this will cast a shadow on the United States that declares itself a state with the rule of law with obligations to protect human rights all over the world," Yaroshenko wrote in her letter.

She added that she was seriously concerned about her son's health which was rapidly deteriorating and, in Yaroshenko's own words, this has happened because of the poor prison conditions and inadequate medical assistance.

Question

Was the SpaceX rocket attacked by a drone?

SpaceX explosion
© SpaceXConspiracy theorists claim SpaceX was 'attacked'

Comment: SOTT's own analysis theorizes that it's possible that a UFO, or at the least something unidentified, was flying near the rocket in the moments before the explosion. See the below video for more evidence:

Now conspiracy theorists are claiming the space rocket was "attacked".

The "reusable" rocket was destroyed after suffering a catastrophic explosion on launch at Cape Canaveral in Florida, US on Thursday. The huge blast, which caused no injuries, ripped through the rocket during a pre-launch check - sending plumes of thick black smoke into the air.

Billionaire SpaceX CEO Elon Musk said the cause of the explosion, which was caught on camera, is still unknown. But new analysis of the footage appears to show there may have been foul play, it has been claimed.

A grainy video of the blast, posted to YouTube by Steve Svensson, appears to shows a small, silver spherical object flying over the rocket as it exploded.

In the description to the video, he wrote: "It appears that SpaceX may have been shot by a very fast moving drone, or possibly an explosive in the satellite was triggered? We all know people love to hate Elon Musk."

Comment: There could be more to this story than first appears. It was reported in July that a naval ship, the USS Jackson, was undergoing "full ship shock trials" off the coast of Florida. This was to test the ship for its ability to withstand underwater shocks by using 10,000 pounds of explosives. It turns out that, at the time of the testing, many Floridians thought an earthquake had occurred, but it turned out to be the explosion from the shock test. Even the geophysicists at the National Earthquake Information Center were fooled, although one man quoted said it was obvious that it was an "induced quake". The explosion was so intense that it recorded a 3.7 on the Richter scale

Another interesting piece of data is that a "military-style" helicopter recently crashed in Florida, despite there being no signs of distress or engine failure as it fell. Could this possibly be another sign of secret military weapons being tested in Florida? Images at the crash site show only the tail and rotors remaining, as the rest of the very large helicopter apparently disintegrated upon crashing.

So what exactly is going on in Florida? Was the military secretly testing a weapon and accidentally blew up the SpaceX rocket? Is it possible that the explosion of the SpaceX rocket was done by elements of the US government to sabotage the sale of the Israel satellite operator Spacecom to the Chinese conglomerate Beijing Xinwei Technology Group? The Americans might very well be wary of the Chinese going into business with the Israelis and getting more heavily involved in the space industry. It certainly looks like the elites in the US went to great lengths to sabotage this deal by using its super-secret weaponry to destroy the SpaceX rocket and deep-six the Israeli-Chinese deal.

Court on Corsica approves mayor's burkini ban

A French administrative court has approved the ban on full-body swimming suits worn by Muslim women on beaches in the Corsica commune of Sisko, bypassing the recent State Council's decision on the matter.

The Bastia Administrative Court agreed with Sisko's mayor, Ange-Pierre Vivoni, who passed a law in August prohibiting women wearing so-called burkinis to visit municipal beaches for safety reasons. The court rejected an appeal filed by the Human Rights League (LDH) against the ban, French website BFMTV reported on Tuesday.

The court "considered that in this case, given the recent events of August 13, 2016... and that the sentiment is not settled, the presence of women wearing a bathing suit [burkini]... would in the current circumstances risk the disturbance of public order, which is to be prevented by the mayor," the court ruling said.

Judge, jury and executioner: Graphic body cam shows cops kill man after he put his hands up and pointed at them

Evansville Police body camera footage
© Evansville Police body camera footageThe Evansville Police released the body camera footage on Friday from a March officer-involved shooting that killed Daniel Wooters, 38.
Daniel Wooters, 38, was homeless and likely mentally ill when he was killed by Evansville police. In March of this year, Wooters stole a police cruiser, led cops on a chase, crashed the car, and was then killed as he held a knife in the air — over 30 feet away from the nearest officer.

In spite of the incident happening in March, the body cam video was not released until this month, likely due to the reason that it does not fit their narrative.

As the Courier Press Reports:
Police were in route to TGI Friday's at the Eastland Mall March 15 to look for a man who, according to a mall security guard, "threatened to kill people."

By the time police arrived, Wooters had walked to the Fifth-Third Bank parking lot, where a uniformed officer approached him. According to police, Wooters advanced at the officer with a knife and stole the officer's car, leading other arriving officers on a chase up Morgan Avenue.
