Ex-CIA contractor pleads guilty to retaining classified information, lied to federal investigators

CIA emblem
A former contractor for the U.S. CIA pleaded guilty on Friday for removing and retaining classified information from his government office and later lying about it to federal investigators, the Justice Department said.

Reynaldo B. Regis, 53, of Fort Washington, Maryland, worked for the CIA from August 2006 through November 2016, said prosecutors for the U.S. Attorney's Office in the Eastern District of Virginia.

They alleged that Regis improperly searched classified databases and copied the information into personal notebooks, which he then took to his house.

Comment: Maybe Regis saw that Hillary and Comey got away with mishandling classified information and assumed it was OK.

The musician, who had been open about his struggle with depression, tweeted Tuesday night, "Be so good to everyone you love. It's not a given. I'm so annoyed that it's not. I didn't live by that standard and it kills me. Please, hug your loved ones." He added, "I'm away now. Thanks."

Man told to remove makeup to be allowed into Texas nightclub

Bobby Rodriguez makeup
Bobby Rodriguez, 21, wiped off his makeup Wednesday night because he wanted to dance.

Rodriguez, of Kingsville, was in Corpus Christi for a night out and says he was denied entry to Whiskey River nightclub because he was wearing fake eyelashes and lipstick.

"I approached the door I handed my ID to the security at the door (and) his words were and, I quote, 'unfortunately, you cannot enter because you are wearing makeup and we have a rule here that says men need to dress like men,' " Rodriguez said. "I literally had to walk back to my car and rip my false lashes off and wipe off my lipstick.

"I was so upset, I mean, who wouldn't be?"

Israeli feminist winner of 'Eurovision' Song Contest hails next year's event in Jerusalem

Freshly-crowned Eurovision queen Netta Barzilai struck fire with her victory speech, as she invited viewers to see next year's song contest in the occupied Jerusalem, not the internationally-recognized Israeli capital Tel Aviv.

Barzilai, who was a favorite to win the contest, clinched first place with her song "Toy," riding the wave of female empowerment. But it was not only the catchy tune that made Twitter erupt after the show but also the highly polarizing statement Netta made on stage after being proclaimed as the winner.

"Thank you so much for choosing difference, thank you so much for accepting differences between us... I love my country, next time in Jerusalem!" the singer said.

Some users were quick to point out that Barzilai betrayed the message of acceptance and diversity by ending on a statement in tune with Israeli propaganda.

Comment: So much wrong with this, we don't even know where to start.

'Eurovision' has been on a roll since an Israeli transvestite won it in 1998.

Paris police have confirmed that the assailant has been killed. They said five people were injured in the attack, two of them critically, and one victim died.

The attack took place in the heart of the city, in the 2nd arrondissement of Paris.

Video footage shared by local journalist on the scene, Remy Buisine, shows several emergency vehicles crowding a laneway where the attack took place.

The assailant, who was killed by police following the attack at Place de l'Opera in central Paris on Saturday, is also thought to have been monitored by authorities for links to radical Islamists. A judicial source confirmed to AFP that the man was "French, born in Chechnya in 1997." His mother and father have been taken into custody for questioning, the source added.

Police also arrested a friend of the man in the eastern city of Strasbourg. He is currently being held for questioning.

The attacker has been identified by France 2 as Khamzat Azimov, a 20-year-old Russian-born immigrant who received French citizenship in 2010. According to AFP, Azimov had been on a list of people considered to pose a threat to national security, known as the 'Fiche S,' since 2016. France Info reports that he was also registered in the File for the Prevention of Terrorist Radicalization (FSPRT). He had no criminal record, judicial sources said.

According to Europe 1, Azimov was monitored for his connections in "radical Islamic circles."BFMTV reports that he had specific, indirect links with "a person in Syria."

The attacker reportedly shouted "Allahu akbar" during the attack in which five people were injured, two of them critically. One of the victims, a 29-year-old man, later succumbed to his injuries. Police found no documentation on the attacker, but investigators identified him by his fingerprints, Europe1 radio station reported on Sunday.

"At this stage, on the basis of testimonies mentioning the fact that the aggressor shouted 'Allahu akbar' when attacking passersby with a knife, given the modus operandi, we dispatched the anti-terrorist section of the prosecutor's office," Paris prosecutor Francois Molins said.

Islamic State (IS, formerly ISIS) claimed responsibility for the attack, the group's affiliated website Amaq said. However, investigators have not verified the organization's claim.

Footage posted by RT's video agency Ruptly shows police breaking up a fight between a group of Arab and Jewish men. Clashes reportedly began after around 1,000 Israelis moved towards Temple Mount with Star of David flags, chanting Jewish songs.

Jewish visitors were removed from the site for praying and bowing in contravention of regulations that ban all non-Muslims from praying in the grounds of the Al-Aqsa Mosque. At least one person was arrested on suspicion of bowing, reported the Jerusalem Post.

Flashback Judge dismisses army reservist's suit calling Obama's presidency into question

birther Obama case
A federal judge this morning dismissed the suit filed here by a U.S. Army reservist who says he shouldn't have to go to Afghanistan because he believes Barack Obama was never eligible to be president.

Judge Clay Land sided with the defense, which claimed in its response to Maj. Stefan Frederick Cook's suit, filed July 8 with the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Georgia, that Cook's suit is "moot" in that he already has been told he doesn't have to go to Afghanistan, so the relief he is seeking has been granted.

"Federal court only has authority of actual cases and controversies," Land said. "The entire action is dismissed for lack of subject matter jurisdiction."

Cook arrived at the federal courthouse in uniform this morning for his hearing.

Comment: Though it went nowhere at the time, the debate over Obama's eligibility to be president based on his true place of birth was a big sticking point among some several years ago:

Liberal harassment has now taken on a new meaning of the word deplorable - with reports suggesting that Barron Trump - the youngest of the President's children - has been subjected to bullying in his school for nothing more than being the child of President Trump

The report fro. Hollywood Life. suggests that Barron, just 12-years-old, has left his mother with heavy stress due to the fact that her son is suffering torment at the hands of his classmates.

The article claims that Melania Trump is "paralyzed with anxiety" of the attacks on her son and other brutally cruel headlines about her and even Stormy Daniels, of which the media endlessly perpetuate as if it's a matter of concern, despite the alleged affair occurring well over a decade prior to the Trump Presidency.

In a desperate bid for ratings, the media has attempted to recreate the vision of the 1990s, where Bill Clinton kept viewers tuned in to the mainstream news networks over his affair with Monica Lewinsky while he was in the White House.

How The Sun made up 'scary Russian ultras' captions and deceived Serbian photographer

UK tabloids have been working hard to scare football fans from going to the World Cup, because every Russian is a brutal ultra out for blood. Now The Sun has hit a new low, blatantly taking a photographer's work out of context.

A headline in The Sun on Saturday thunders: "ULTRA VIOLENCE" in capital letters. The article itself is mostly a collection of photos, which it says "reveal life inside Moscow's gritty underworld, where hardcore football fans and bare knuckle boxers rule the streets." Some incredibly insightful captions cooked up by the tabloid are attached.

Unluckily for The Sun, the person who took the photos decided not to stay silent and shared his disappointment with RT. He says the photos have been "clearly taken out of context."
