Seven in ten US women have a strongly negative view of Republican presidential hopeful Donald Trump, according to a new poll released on Friday.

Despite the fact that Trump's overall image is the most negative among all US presidential candidates, according to Gallup, the real estate mogul continues to be the Republican party elections front-runner.

"Donald Trump's image among US women tilts strongly negative, with 70% of women holding an unfavorable opinion and 23% a favorable opinion of the Republican front-runner in March," a Gallup poll stated.

Additionally, Trump's image is mostly negative among American men, according to the poll.

"The gap between his favorable and unfavorable rating among men averaged 22 percentage points in March 1-28 interviewing, compared with a 47-point gap among women," the poll said.

The latest nationwide polls, with nearly half the primaries and caucuses behind, indicate that Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton and Trump are likely to head into the general elections on November 8.

Man who secretly recorded nude videos of teen girl given no jail time

Daniel Anderson
Daniel Anderson mugshot
A Wisconsin man who used his cell phone to secretly record nude videos of a 14-year-old girl and her mother will not serve any time behind bars, according to the Leader Telegram.

Daniel C. Anderson, 32, was arrested in 2014 after a neighbor reported a man looking through the girl's bedroom window. He was apprehended by Eau Claire police and admitted to making the recordings.

The officers found a four-minute video of the girl showering and getting dressed on Anderson's cell phone. They also uncovered twelve more nude videos of the girl and four nude videos of her mother. The video of the girl was uploaded to the Internet and made "accessible to the public," according to court records.

Anderson will be on probation for two years and is required to complete 20 days of community service, according to WQOW.

Comment: Something is wrong with the justice system in the US when people who commit non-violent crimes with no victim get put in jail for 10 or 20 years but when a man stalks and violates the privacy of a child, showing nude videos of her online, he gets probation and community service. The authorities make it clear, it's better to be a sexual predator than to grow a plant.

A suburban Boston priest has been defrocked by the Vatican after an investigation by the Roman Catholic church found him guilty of child sexual abuse, the Boston Archdiocese said on Thursday.

The priest, Thomas H. Maguire, was serving as pastor of Saint Helen Mother of the Emperor Constantine church in Norwell, Massachusetts, about 25 miles (40 km) southeast of Boston, when he was accused in 2012 of inappropriate sexual activity with minors. Maguire was suspended from priestly duties at that time.

Police investigated that allegation but did not find evidence of a crime.

However, following the news of Maguire's suspension, other people came forward to accuse him of sexual abuse dating to the mid-1990s and earlier, the Boston Archdiocese said in a statement.

More than 500,000 Americans receiving food stamp benefits will no longer qualify for them beginning on April 1. This is a result of government requirements linking the assistance to an individual's ability to find a job and work.

In order to keep their access to the Supplemental Nutritional Assistance Program (SNAP) for more than three months, able-bodied adults ages 18-49 who don't have children or other dependents must work, volunteer, or enroll in a job-training program for 20 hours a week or more.

A bomb threat has been reported at Sweden's Landvetter airport. A police operation is underway and the domestic hall has been evacuated following the discovery of two suspicious bags. The airport, located outside Gothenburg, received a bomb threat on Thursday morning. As a result, police were placed in high visibility areas, police spokesperson Peter Adlersson told Expressen.

A couple of "suspicious" plastic bags were later found in the domestic hall. The hall was subsequently cordoned off, Adlersson said.

"We are in place for a possible bomb threat. Police have asked for our help and we are in place for this reason," said Matilda Gustafsson, chief of staff at the emergency services in Greater Gothenburg, as quoted by Aftonbladet.

Swedavia, the company which operates Landvetter airport, has also confirmed that there is a threat against the airport. "We have found a suspicious object at Landvetter and received a direct threat to our airport...right now it's a police operation and all other information is through the police," said Swedavia press officer Charlotte Periasamy.

Earlier reports on social media stated that an explosion had occurred at the airport. However, according to Forex Live, it seems the reported blast was a controlled explosion of the two suspicious bags, conducted by authorities.

It comes less than two weeks after deadly explosions rocked the Belgian capital, targeting Brussels Airport and Maalbeek metro station. Thirty-two people were killed and more than 300 injured.

Alabama husband and wife teachers arrested for separate sexual incidents with students

A married couple were each arrested within two days of one another, both for having sex with two separate students at Pickens Academy High School in Alabama.

James Parker, 32, was arrested Wednesday for allegedly being "sexually involved" with a former student, a female, under the age of 19. Parker's wife, Charli was arrested Monday for having a sexual relationship with a male student.

On Tuesday, the 30-year-old woman was charged with 11 counts of engaging in a sexual act with a student under the age of 19, court documents said the relationship lasted from October 2014 to March 2016, the Birmingham News reported.

James and Charli Parker were both teachers and basketball coaches at the private Christian school in Carrollton, but District Attorney Chris McCool said the incidents are not related:
"The incidents are separate and unrelated in place of manner of commission. None of the criminal sexual activity occurred at the school," he said.
Headmaster of Pickens Academy released a statement following the second arrest and asked for "prayers":
"The primary concern of Pickens Academy is the safety of our students. Pickens Academy is very upset about the allegations against our employee. The employee will be suspended immediately and further action may be taken upon investigation. I request prayers for our school family and for all families involved."

Comment: Suspended? Why not fired?

The arrests come one week after a bill was proposed that would require Alabama teachers to undergo one hour of training per year on ‒ among other things ‒ sexual or romantic contact in the classroom.

Yes indeed, Muslims are standing up to extremism

Great work -- congratulations guys!!!

Far More Than Western Powers Have

Following every Islamist terror attack on a western soft target, like the recent one in Brussels, we hear the same refrain from certain corners: "Why won't Muslims stand up to Islamic extremism?" The rhetorical question is meant to imply its own answer: that Islam is unavoidably a religion of violence which impels its adherents to at least sanction terrorism, if not partake in it.

But the argument contains a false premise. Plenty of Muslims are standing up to Islamic extremism, both in word and deed. In fact, it is Muslims who are doing all the heavy lifting in this regard, while the chief contribution of the self-righteous Western powers has been to add to their burden.

First of all, Muslims have opposed extremism ideologically. This goes for Muslim leaders, including top clerics and such groups as the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and the 50-million strong Nahdlatul Ulama (NU).

Comment: We've been saying it for years: The 'war against terror' is a complete lie and a crime against humanity that, in great part, seeks to vilify, dehumanize, and ultimately subjugate or destroy an entire people. All the pieces are in place, and it now remains to be seen how many nations have truly learned the lesson of 'never again'.

After a four-year-old girl is beheaded Taiwan does some soul-searching

Taiwan in shock
A day after a man grabbed a four-year-old girl off her bicycle and decapitated her with a cleaver in broad daylight, Taiwan is in shock.

"A mother couldn't protect her child even though she was standing right near her. How can we feel assured that our children will be safe?" asked Lindy Wang, a mother of three.

On Monday night, anger poured out on the streets when crowds surrounded the suspect, a man in his 40s, as he was being led into a police station. Some punched him.

Schools were on alert on Tuesday and police officers were dispatched to a school the assailant was believed to have been headed to when he came across the girl.

The killing was the latest in a string of random attacks on the island and the third against children in the past four years.

17 killed, 78 injured as under-construction bridge collapses in Kolkata, India; many still trapped

Seventeen people are reported killed and at least 78 injured, while 150 are believed trapped, after an under-construction flyover collapsed in a densely-populated area of Kolkata, India, causing chaos. The incident took place near Girish Park in North Kolkata.

Eyewitnesses told the Indian Express they heard a loud blast and a crashing sound. They also said they saw a cloud of smoke rising from the scene. Numerous photos on social media show people gathered near the scene of the incident trying to help those trapped or injured.

"The condition is pathetic. At this moment no one has any clue how many people are trapped," said Raichand Mohta, a police officer at the scene, told Reuters. The Indian Express cited locals who said they opposed the construction, saying the overpass crosses too close to multi-story buildings nearby.

Paramedics are working to free people from a minibus that was crushed in the collapse, a local witness told Reuters.
The flyover collapsed on to the traffic moving along the street, police said. "Cement and concrete were poured in yesterday only, it suddenly collapsed today," a local witness told India Today.

Those who happened to be near the scene were trying to pass bottles of water to people trapped in the rubble.
