Election judges in Chicago told to vote Republican then fired when objecting to dirty tricks

Election judges in Chicago said this week that the Republican Party removed them because they objected to being forced to vote for GOP candidates.

Two Republican Party committee members who had been selected as election judges told WBBM's Pam Zekman that campaign workers called them to report to campaign headquarters for additional training related to their election day duties, which normally include setting up polling places and assisting voters.

But instead of getting training, they said that they received instructions on who they had to vote for if they wanted to keep their jobs.

Committeewoman Charon Bryson explained that each party was allowed to select its election judges based on their voting records, but being told who to vote for was going too far.

"They were calling election judges, telling them to come in so they could get specific orders to vote for the Republican Party," she said. "They should not be pressured or coerced into voting for someone to get a job, or to get an appointment."

Bryson said that the tactic was like "buying a vote."

Protests against mass surveillance, govt austerity and social injustice have taken to the streets in over 400 cities worldwide. Dubbed the Million Mask March, the third annual act of mass civil disobedience was organized by the activist group Anonymous.

United in face and values, hiding behind the stylised Anonymous masks popularized by V for Vendetta movie, activists flocked the streets in the UK, China, and the US, just to name a few.

Some of the biggest protests were seen in London where hundreds of activists engaged in a tense and prolonged stand-off with police in and around the Parliament Square. At least ten people were arrested following scuffles on charges of assaulting police officers and different public order offences.

72-year old man charged with murder in mercy killing his wife of 37 years

A 72-year-old California man was charged with murder after placing a dozen roses beside his ailing wife and then shooting her in the head.

Joann Canfield had been allowed to return to her Alameda home Oct. 25 from a nursing home facility where she was being treated for dementia.

Neighbors told KGO-TV that Jerry Canfield left every day at 7 a.m. to visit his wife of 37 years at the nursing home and stayed with her until 9:30 p.m. or later.

"You know, you've heard of being in love? Well, they were that," said Jose De Dios, the couple's next-door neighbor and friend.

The neighbor said Joann Canfield's condition had deteriorated in recent months, and her husband was worried about her.

"Jerry said, 'You know, she's seeing little demons - demons are chasing her around the house,'" De Dios said. "Because she had bruises from, like falling, so she was running and tripping."

She was disoriented and unable to recognize anyone after returning to the apartment with her husband, neighbors said.

Jerry Canfield had promised his wife he would end her life when she could no longer bear the pain, his attorney said - and he went through with their pact Oct. 26.

After fatally shooting his wife, neighbors said he dressed as if going to church, drove to a nearby police station about 6 p.m., and turned himself in.

"In California, if you take the life of another, it's considered a homicide," said Sgt. Rick Bradley, who admitted the case was emotionally difficult for police. "That's how we investigate it, and that's what the facts showed."

Comment: We have been programed by society to fear death - it is such a taboo subject. It seems this was an act of compassion and kindness, not murder. No one wants to see their loved ones suffer.

Heads up! Giant steel bolts fall from London's 'Cheese-grater' building

© AFP Photo / Carl Cour"Cheese-grater" building (c).
Two heavy steel bolts broke off one of London's tallest skyscrapers, prompting urgent ultrasound tests on more than 3,000 'mega-bolts' on the City's 'cheese-grater' tower.

The 47-story landmark building was cordoned off from pedestrians after the incident. The bolts are reportedly around the size of a human arm.

Contractor Laing O'Rourke, who constructed the tower, and structural engineers Arup have begun a full investigation testing for weaknesses in the 5-inch-diameter (12.7cm) bolts that hold the building together.

Think about it. Does it really matter who controls the Senate?

Please don't claim anything changes if one party or the other is in the majority. Anyone clinging to that fantasy is delusional.

If you really think it matters which political party controls the U.S. Senate, please answer these questions. Don't worry, they're not that difficult:

1. Will U.S. foreign policy in the Mideast change from being an incoherent pastiche of endless war and Imperial meddling? Please answer with a straight face. We all know the answer is that it doesn't matter who controls the Senate, Presidency or House of Representatives, nothing will change.

2. Will basic civil liberties be returned to the citizenry? You know, like the cops are no longer allowed to steal your cash when they stop you for a broken tail light and claim the cash was going to be used for a drug deal.

Comment: Dempublican. Republocrat. It's all a case of "meet the new boss, same as the old boss." They all play for team psychopath.

A former Baltimore Ravens cheerleader and mother of three has been arrested and accused of having a sexual relationship in Delaware with a 15-year-old boy who attended the same school as her children.

Molly Shattuck, 47, who was the oldest professional cheerleader in the NFL before retiring to raise her children, now faces two counts of third-degree rape, four counts of unlawful sexual contact and three counts of providing alcohol to minors, according to the Delaware State Police.

Shattuck reportedly began flirting with the 15-year-old via Instagram in May, four months before her millionaire husband, Mayo Shattuck, 60, filed for divorce, according to The Baltimore Sun, which cited a Baltimore County court affidavit.

The Delaware State Police said in a news release that the relationship started in Baltimore, where they both live, but culminated in a rented vacation home in Bethany Beach, Delaware.

Psychopathic multimillionaire Gigi Jordan convicted of manslaughter in poisoning her 8-year-old autistic son

Gigi Jordan

The multimillionaire Manhattan mom accused of killing her 8-year-old autistic son was found guilty Wednesday of manslaughter.

But Gigi Jordan escaped a murder conviction that could have sent her to jail for life.

Instead, Jordan faces anywhere from five to 25 years in prison when she is sentenced for killing Jude Mirra in her rented room at the Peninsula Hotel.

"Gigi Jordan showed no mercy to her son, and should receive none at the time of her sentencing," Manhattan District Attorney Cyrus Vance Jr. said in a statement.

Jordan "poisoned her son, giving him extremely high doses of prescription medications, forcing many down his throat with a syringe," Vance said.

Dressed in a long gray button-down jacket, navy shirt and dress pants, Jordan showed little emotion when the verdict read.

Comment: Back in February 2010 when the murder took place, Mike Adams of Natural News gave an interesting perspective into the case:
Big Pharma Executive Murders 8-Year-Old Son with Xanax and Ambien

I've always said that Big Pharma executives were guilty of crimes against humanity. Now one of their wealthiest and most successful executives has been caught trying to pull off a murder-suicide in an upscale NY hotel. Gigi Jordan, who ran pharmaceutical companies selling pills to treat cancer, murdered her 8-year-old son by force-feeding him ground-up pharmaceuticals which included Xanax and Ambien.

Let's just stop right there for a moment and consider what this says about the pharmaceutical industry: Even its own executives know their drugs are toxic enough to commit murder.

[...]

Certainly we can all feel compassion for the loss of life experienced by this little boy -- a victim of growing up in a Big Pharma family where they live and die with patented chemical medications. But let's look at the bigger issue here: Why is nobody really surprised that a wealthy executive who pushed dangerous pills for a living might end up killing her own son with some of those same chemicals?

The reason nobody is really surprised is because deep down, we already know that Big Pharma executives are mentally insane. They earn their financial wealth at the expense of other peoples' health. They push pills that harm people, that produce disturbing side effects and that even kill people. They oversee companies engaged in price fixing fraud, disease mongering, corruption and bribery.

Big Pharma executives are the mob crime bosses of the 21st century, and beyond being guilty of crimes against humanity, they are mentally disturbed themselves.

And why are they so mentally disturbed? Perhaps because they take their own medicine. They eat their own fraudulently-approved chemicals -- the same chemicals they worked so hard to get approved by burying the truth about their side effects. The more they swallow, the more they become mentally imbalanced. The side effects they tried to hide from the world can't hide from human physiology...

[...]

Virtually every school shooting that has happened in the last twenty years has been linked in one way or another to psychiatric medications sold by pharmaceutical companies led by mentally deranged executives. These people are corporate criminals who pose a serious danger to not only their own families, but the public at large. If they can feed a fatal dose of medication chemicals to their own children, then what else are they capable of doing in the name of corporate profits?

The truth is, these people just don't value human life. They are criminally insane. They need to be arrested and prosecuted for their crimes before they murder yet more children.

By the way, they don't stop at killing just their own children: They are likely to murder your children, too by putting six-month-old infants on antidepressant drugs, or doping up your teenagers on drugs for ADHD, a completely fictitious, bogus "disease" that was invented solely to sell more drugs.

[...]

I believe Gigi Jordan's actions accurately portray the philosophies and insanities of pharmaceutical industry: Obscene selfishness, complete disrespect for human life and the treacherous application of their deadly chemical products. Gigi Jordan only killed her own child, but Big Pharma at large may kill your children, too.

Anti-government demonstrations breaking out all over Europe: Germany hit by 'longest ever rail-strike'

A four-day rail strike, billed as the longest in German history, has hit passenger trains and threatens to disrupt celebrations marking the 1989 fall of the Berlin Wall.

The stoppage by the 20,000-member GDL union hit intercity and regional services alike on Thursday and is due to last until early on Monday.

Rail operator Deutsche Bahn is seeking an injunction to halt the strike.

The union rejected the company's offer of arbitration late on Wednesday.

As commuters struggled to work, on the roads and on restricted rail services, there was widespread concern that the strike would hit up to two million people travelling to Berlin for the 25th anniversary celebrations of the fall of the wall.

Before the latest accusations, Daniel Ken Holtzclaw, 32, had already been charged with 26 counts, including rape, sexual battery, oral sodomy, indecent exposure, stalking, and burglary.

The new counts against Holtzclaw, a three-year police veteran, were filed in Oklahoma County District Court on Tuesday. The latest charges include three counts of first-degree rape, as well as one count each of second-degree rape by instrumentation, forcible oral sodomy, and sexual battery, according to the Oklahoman.

The charges involve the assault of 13 women in total.

The three women involved in the new charges came forward after seeing Holtzclaw in the news for the previous alleged sexual offenses, according to an affidavit.

Colorado mother turns teenage son in to authorities after he was charged with rape

Elijah Jordan Jackson

A Colorado teen who allegedly raped a young girl was handed over to the police last Thursday by his own mother.

Fort Collins Police issued an arrest warrant on Oct. 24 for Elijah Jordan Jackson, 19, before his mom drove him from Wyoming to a deputy waiting at Larimer County Jail, 9NEWS.com reports.

"Certainly, a very unusual situation," Larimer County Sheriff Justin Smith said. "What was unusual was when the deputy spoke with the suspect's mother, and she found out about the charges, she vowed to take care of it."

Jackson is accused of raping a 14-year-old girl in Fort Collins in February, The Blaze notes.

"Certainly, we do have family members cooperate, but to have mom go out of state and pick somebody up and bring them into the jail, first time in a quarter century I've seen it occur," Smith said.

Jackson denied the sexual assault allegation made against him and said that he turned himself in to authorities, not his mom.

"I'm sure when you're in jail, the last thing you want is for anybody in there sitting in a cell next to you know that your mom brought you to jail," Smith said.

Authorities said the mother saved them a lot of money that would have been used to go through the Wyoming court system to get an extradition to bring Jackson back.
